Reminds me of early Linda Ronstadt, whom I saw in concert in 1973. The only concert I ever saw where the boys were fainting instead of the girls. Yup.
My wife and I got hooked the same way. Because of her I’m a fan of Molly Tuttle and Billy Strings too. Linda Rhonstadt is one of my favorites too along with the Beatles. AJ Lee and Blue Summit have quickly become one of my favorites too.
I’m just gonna keep sharing AJ to everyone I know until she’s a household name in music ! A LOOVE her original stuff especially... she’s a superb talent

At the Parkfield Bluegrass Festival I attended a banjo workshop with Geg Cahill and two California banjo players. During discussion of technique, Greg said "no matter what, you con only play one note at a time. Except maybe for Sully."

Fast forward two decades and I'm telling my musical trombone tooting kid about AJ Lee. Collegiate kid says, "Mom! We grew up together at Strawberry? Playing in the birdseed and doing art projects with the Strawberry Kids down at the lake? You know where they have the revival?" Soundtrack: Japanese bluegrass players...
This song was actually written mainly by Mike Henderson, co-written by Chris Stapleton, first recorded by the Steeldrivers. Henderson sold the rights to the song to Adele, who has recorded it several times for release.
My late dad used to pick and sing this song so often. He was a performer all my life. Earl your music brings back wonderful memories of his great music and vibrant faith!

I see the videos of when you were very young, and already quite good, and it's amazing to see how you have really refined your vocals and mandolin playing over just a few years. I love AJ Lee and Blue Summit. The harmonies are superb. I love the pause before “still” & “soul”. If I’m not mistaken this concert was on Fischman’s property. Those lucky dogs getting to experience this kind of talent in such a quaint and beautiful setting.
All awesome musicians of course but I'd like to shout out to the young Tuttle chap on guitar who did a solo near the end - very nicely done. Look forward to seeing more from him as that was some deft work.
