I bet you have wondered in the past why people respond to you the way they do - why they feel this way - it is because the whole package is lovely and they are drawn in. Do you recall Karen Carpenter? Her voice had a mysterious tone about it - some said "other worldly" that drew you in - truly unlike any other - the actual sound of your voice is different but it is similar in that it is hard to explain why it is wonderful - the resonate, the quality. There are so many things to compliment on this song. The way this band performs classic songs in a traditional way is a blessing to me. AJ sings the song perfectly. The mandolin and guitar playing is incredible. I listen to this over and over. Of course, this song is one of many great gifts given to us by Tom T. Hall. I also appreciate the humility of AJ and the band as they use their God given talents.
The musicians play and sing perfect. Fantastic interpretation! AJ, you were so gracious to acknowledge the talent of the luthier! Great job, all of you! So professional!!!
I just came acrossed this video and I'm so excited because I get to see AJ and Blue Summit in my own backyard (sorta) in Gilroy, CA at The Barn in June! Can't wait!
The vocals are fantastic. Mandolin girl has the groove and the Beat. Sipping me a little Woodward and chatting with my friend Bob Marley and this is a wonderful touch down here in Central Texas about 11:30 on a Friday night
Aj's voice is sweet and golden just plain beautiful this reflects her expression to us of all sincerity and tranquility. Problems go away when i listen to this God Bless you all !
I loved AJ Lee's voice and the bands rendition of this song immediately. I hope you did this in Europe. I believe AJ Lee together with Sully''s unique old soul low voice should be incorporated into some unique harmonies and alternating leads on some of the old classics along with original material.
California Grass owes more to the Greatful Dead & CS&N than the Stanley Brothers. Her most popular song on RUclips is with the Brothers Comatose who also have 2 gtrs & no fiddle/banjo.

What an outstanding take on an already great song. I really want to do a ska/punk take on this song, now. The energy here says it would make that transition beautifully. I've often said that coutry, polka, and punk are close cousins.
Love the intro! For me personally, I would have made it a little longer so the listener could savor it for awhile before the lovely vocals begin. Smoking version though!
