The third styled look for men - that originally wasn’t a base game top. That men’s hooded tank top with the mesh strip originally came in the fitness stuff pack - then at some point they added a bunch of recolors and made it base game. Those long leggings/tights on the first men’s styled look and on one of the women’s styled look ALSO originally came in this pack. It was weird how much CAS stuff they pulled out of this pack. I actually use this pack kind of lot both for CAS and Build.
I will say, only 3 swatches each were added to the sleeveless hoodie and those leggings and were made basegame. You do need to own fitness stuff to access all the swatches those items originally had. I honestly find it so weird that they did it to a handful of CAS items across a couple packs, and yet there’s no icon in CAS to indicate the original swatches are pack exclusive
Related to the ear buds in this pack but it would be really cool if podcasts were added and you can get fun needs fulfilled and maybe even skill level increases depending on the podcast you listen to.
As a climber, I’m actually really impressed with the animation on the climbing wall. The sims do actual rock climbing moves on it- somebody did their research!
I enjoy uninstalling every single pack and adding them back one at a time per generation on a long lifespan gameplay. Like time moves forward and you get access to stuff you didn’t always have back in the day
I wish I had that commitment and attention span! Sounds great! Although I still haven't played with some expansion packs yet so maybe I should try this 🤔
Wait that sounds so cool and fun. Do you start with all of them uninstalled or certain ones in like Cottage Living so the “old” generations can live like that was all they had “back in the day”?? I’ve gotta learn how to uninstall so I can do this 😂
I use the workout TV channels all the time, because I tend to have my sims live in a micro home for college, so I don't have room for workout equipment.
It's a fun pack. I think it's definitely worth it if it's on sale, and Sims packs go on sale pretty often. The CAS is much better than most people give it credit for, especially considering how lacking sports clothing is in both the base game and other packs. The BB is genuinely amazing, there's a lot of sleek and modern furniture there that's really hard to come by. The door is one of my faves. And while the rock climbing wall can be a bit pointless by itself, if you have Snowy Escape, they fit really well together. I really like this pack. Not mindblowing by any means, but pretty neat imo.
@@purplecosmonautHonestly even without snowy escape, the rock climbing wall is a nice variation on gym equipment and a little less repetitive. I always forget about exercising on the TV tho. And that that’s a part of this pack. Another nice variation on Sims exercising that’s not the same old treadmill and weights machine.
personally, it's one of my favorites stuff packs. i really like the clothing, the style of the furniture, the fitness stuff, the headphones. i think this pack is really underrated.
My favorite memory of the rock climbing wall was in my first legacy save. The wall was there forever with other gym equipment because it was a pretty active family, but my oldest sim had ignored it for her entire life. Then, when she was an elder in her last few days, and I was letting her basically do whatever she wanted, all of a sudden, I got a pop-up that she'd beat some record on the rock climbing wall, lol. I just found it so fun that with two or three days left in her life, she suddenly decided that rock climbing was her thing - and killed at it. 😀
I just wish they gave fitnessing an actual overhaul, like using some actual usable gym equipment like dumbells, bikes, etc. and maybe that you can go on a diet to improve your physique. Now we just get a very goofy and unusable rock climbing wall.
if your sim can gain weight from eating too much (i witnessed it firsthand when playing the grilled cheese aspiration) then you should be able to diet in basegame too! with salads and the juice machine from eco lifestyle!
Same! I also wish they would split up some skills. Like I would like to have a separate Cardio and Strength skill, and Swimming as its own thing. But it could all contribute to a base Fitness skill too. Like how lots of different skills will simultaneously build the Entrepreneur skill
I'd love to see them add weight training as a separate thing with dumbbells etc... Like there could even be a death where your Sim lifts without a spotter and crushes themselves underneath a bar 😂 the fitness stuff we've got at the moment is quite limited but they could do so much with it.

As someone who only downloads DLC when EA releases stuff for free, it’d be awesome if they focused on refreshing older DLCs because it’d make people more inclined to buy or use it more in their builds, CAS, and gameplay.
Maybe it's just me, but it would be fun if the Sims team did an update and added some new deaths. They could add a concussion if you fall off the wall, and if you don't "treat" it, you could die. I'd prefer if they just fell off and died, but TS4 is...soft 😄
The top at 3:39 used to be from the pack but it was made base game (tbf I think some of the swatches on it are pack only as well?). Still odd how they made items from an already small pack base game
I literally bought this pack for the rock climbing wall so I could make a climbing gym. And I have my rock climbing sim club train there before embarking to Mt. Komerabi. I never track what clothes I use in packs. I make whatever’s there work. 😂😂 I so don’t care about CAS. But that rock climbing wall!! need it. I forgot about the exercise channel on the TV. Need to play with that more.
I agree with everyone saying they love this pack! Don't understand how it's so underrated!! Would love to see you build a gym using just this and base game :D
if they refresh this pack, they could easily incorporate sooo much with the rise of gym culture in social media influence nowadays. like, since there's now social bunny, sims can be fitness influencers and market products/athletic wear and sell protein bars... they could add in new high-protein recipes and dishes that set buffs for workouts, energy drink vending machines with moodlet buffs and caffeine-addict quirks, and add gymshark/aybl/NVGTN-esque sportswear to a CAS refresh. more machines, the option to utilize gym memberships, a personal trainer career that recruits clients or maybe a spa day instructor-style training freelance. individual fitness skill levels that focus on muscle groups, and as you grow muscle/skill up you gain quirks or traits like 'fast metabolism', endurance and stamina skills would unlock perks like a slower sleep need decay, or as the sims get healthier they sleep better, similarly to how upgrading beds creates more efficient sleep. also, they could work in events and activities like marathons sims can train for with the seasons calendar system to incorporating different types of training and athletics! i think it would be really cute if you could train for a turkey trot on thanksgiving or have your sims do a couch-to-10k. i can envision san myshuno marathons or fundraising events where kids at school have to run laps. just some ideeeeaaaas
What I discovered recently is that with this pack there comes new swatches for this basegame leggins which is used for the styled look by making a bg only sim using this leggins and it got flagged as having the fitness pack until I changed the leggins. So technically the the pack DO come with accessoires
I have fond memories of this pack, even though I didnt own it until last year. It was one of the last packs one of my favourite german sims youtubers reviewed, and I felt like everyone was making their sims have one of the hairstyles lol! Special place in my heart simply because I think its neat and it came at the right time in my life!
I love when you do these because I also forget about different packs and this is legit the first time I'm seeing those windows and door. I agree they don't go with much else, but I could see them being used in a modern/spellcaster type build. I'm envisioning like an old warehouse converted into loft bedroom. Stairs going up the back. XD
We know sims can wade in ponds we create if we leave room for them to get to it but I wonder, if a pond is wide enough and deep enough, could they swim in it? You should build a community lot that is mostly a deeper pond with maybe a few trees and flowers to test it out. I built one but didn't get to finish it because I got busy.
I really love the braided hairstyle, both the masculine and feminine version, it's just soooo badass and attractive to me. I use this pack a fair bit, especially the tile wallpaper! And the corner tub, when I want to make a fancy bathroom haha
the headphones are very conviente for if you want to raise a sims's fun while their asleep (aka littrally every time i do collage) and the doors/windows are so cool; even if it's to bad their medium hight
ngl I kinda actually forgot abt this pack until right now kanjjdnakd edit: okay- I get it now; the Fitness Pack is underrated. it's got sm nice objects tbf
please please PLEASE make a build using as much fitness stuff as possible, i don't even need it to be only fitness stuff and base game, just as much as possible😩
I think I got this pack because it came in a bundle and I genuinely love the CAS items for athletic wear. I think it would be interesting if, instead of just using one pack for a build, you did something like a pack compatibility challenge, where you choose an expansion and stuff pack that you think would be compatible and build using only those packs. Still a limited build, but I think it would be useful to see how packs could work together.
I'll drop this comment here since you mentioned Stanley: I just built a Save File with almost every single lot filled with one of your builds (and used every reno you've done; there are a few I want to request now, haha). Stanley's Hotdog booth fits so well into the lower lot in Copperdale, I've started putting it there in every file I make. I moved Stanley into one of the one bedrooms on the stinky side of Evergreen Harbor as my Simself's neighbor, and he's the only Sim I added that isn't an official EA/Maxis character. He's a part of the game to me, now.
So funny how everyone is so different, this is one of my favourite ever stuff packs! Obviously i know it needed way more stuff to justify the pack, but what it does come with I love and use all the time!
tbh i forgot fitness stuff existed and made it all part of snowy escape in my head. i would never use that giant machine unless i was training to climb the mountain. even then, i would rather read the book for skill bc i hate leaving my house in game and in real life.
I would love to see you attempt making a house using Fitness Stuff and Base Game together like trying to use those window on the whole house and try to make the stuff in the pack look good together so people can really know if they would like to buy this stuff pack
As much as we meme on the free earbuds that come with the pack, they are interestingly the only wireless headphones in the game. That being said, I do remember at the time needing to download a mod to let me be able to do day to day sim things while still listening to the headphones. I don’t know if it’s still the case where that mod is still necessary, but such a weird choice to not let sims do stuff like go jogging while using the headphones
I used to have this pack but I had to get the game again so I lost it and I loved the climbing wall, buy stuff and especially the earbuds, so now every time my loading screen says “no I don’t want free earbuds” I scream at the scream “YES I DO”
fitness stuff is such an interesting pack. I use it very consistently, but really only the pendant light, art, and hairs. so it doesn't seem that worth it on the surface, but I probably use the light in at least half my builds so I've gotten a lot of value out of the pack.
I love this Stuff Pack! If not only for the higher quality plumbing (toilets, sink, etc.) versus the cost of buying similarly rated items. This is really worth the few dollars. I've really enjoyed this pack. It's not going to change your SIM life, but it's brought me joy....just sayin'.
i enjoyed this video a LOT . please do more videos of reviews older packs cause a lot of us don’t have all the packs and we want to know what things are in the pack and are they worth buying or not. if anyone agrees with me like this comment 👍
The pack is very useful if you want your sim to build rock climbing skill outside of Mnt Kohlrabi at the gym or something, then take a vacation to climb the mountain.
I wish we could get stair climbers, rowing machines, exercise bikes, small trampoline, step fitness, the one where you step up and then step down,I don't know the exact name for it. Also some free weights like kettle bells or small barbells. A pullup bar might be nice too.
I love the tv fitness feature so i can exercise when i dont have money for fitness equipment or cant leave the house because another sim needs to keep doing a task or soemthung
I have most of the packs except for the most recent ones that just came out recently including the Fitness Stuff pack. I put a gym in all my builds and most of my Sims work out regularly. Some of them even like climbing the wall.
I really like this pack. I use it all the time. I like the TV work out features so I dont need a home gym. The build mode is great for community lots or expensive looking modern homes. And I always use the clothing when selecting athletic wear.
IIRC the Rock Climbing Wall also builds a 'hidden' climbing skill, which is base game. It's not the same as the Snowy Escape Rock Climbing (and is separate), and is purely a visual skill thing for the wall item itself. The higher the hidden skill, the better the climbing animations on the wall, it's also the skill used for the wall challenges and unlocks (not Fitness). Kind of like the old hidden skills from earlier Sims, like Darts, Bowling, Yoga, Card Games etc. Mechanically useless, but immersion pleasing to some extent.
that base game tank top that has the mess strip was originally in fitness. they made it base game later. it even has the same patterns as some of the other items in the pack. ---- same with the long leggings
My friend has this pack and let me play with their account, I like it, maybe if I got a good sale (or for free), I would get this. It’s got some fun little gameplay things, I surprisingly really like the living room furniture, and I was surprised that the dancing workout benefits the dancing trait (I forgot what it’s called lmao)
I thought that i didn't use the fitness pack a lot when I had it. But I ended up losing access to my ea account, so i had to create a new account and repurchase the sims packs. I dont have a lot of money, so I had to carefully choose my packs based on what i thought i would use the most- I didn't get the fitness pack. It's been about 6 months since i started this new ea account, and I wish i could buy it 😭. After having something for years and then not having it anymore, you start to realize how much you need it
"Or I was a teenager and therefore my opinions were annoying and invalid" GIRL BUT SAME THOUGH FOR WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER LMFAO. I felt this statement so hard, I wanted to stand up and start clapping lmao
Ok first of all, the fact that the game makes the "No, I don't want the free headphones" joke even WITHOUT this pack, annoys me. I get that loading screen all the time and if I didn't know that it relates to this pack, I would be so confused. But secondly, this video (and the comments) actually made me want to buy this pack lol. I really like the BB, it's really my style and I love all the rock and wood accents. So maybe I'll buy it during the next sale!
The swatches for the fitness tights of the Fitness Pack that you kept saying are "base game" is somewhat correct. The base game comes with pink, purple and red swatches for the fitness tights. The Fitness pack adds many extra swatches to them. With some base game items, packs add swatches to them. This is one of those cases. Like Parenthood adds swatches to a set of men's gym shorts and Eco Lifestyles adds swatches to beanie hats.
my hot take is that i really love this pack, I bought it when it came out, and I don't think it would hold up if it was released today, but for what its worth, I have no regrets that I bought it when I did, I use the cas a lot for athletic wear and I use the furniture a lot too, mostly the bathroom stuff and the gym equipment (except for that rock climbing wall, which I find ironically quite unusable, given that it's supposed to be the main feature)
I like the fitness pack - would have loved if they would have added stationary bikes. Maybe fitness classes would have been good so they could do the tv classes in person.
I only use this pack for the mirror and a few more build buy stuff. This pack is nice for a Frutiger Aero build, and a few of the clothing items for that too i suppose
I got this pack for free at some point and I do use it fairly often (that wall art is a staple in my houses) but unless you very specifically want to make gyms with better gym equipment... eh.
Tbh, instead of a house, I'd love a gym/spa built with fitness stuff and spa day. I always struggle to add the climbing walls to the gyms in game.
I like more bathroom things that come with this pack. I don't know, it's my opinion.
I bought that pack when it was on sale. I pretty much like it. Used most of the items for the gym and some of my households.
I bought this when it originally came out and I have never seen that mirror in my life. 😂
I really love the braided hairstyle, both the masculine and feminine version, it's just soooo badass and attractive to me. I use this pack a fair bit, especially the tile wallpaper! And the corner tub, when I want to make a fancy bathroom haha
the headphones are very conviente for if you want to raise a sims's fun while their asleep (aka littrally every time i do collage) and the doors/windows are so cool; even if it's to bad their medium hight
ngl I kinda actually forgot abt this pack until right now kanjjdnakd
edit: okay- I get it now; the Fitness Pack is underrated. it's got sm nice objects tbf
please please PLEASE make a build using as much fitness stuff as possible, i don't even need it to be only fitness stuff and base game, just as much as possible😩
That bathroom set especially is my go to for every single house, the shower and the toilet? Top tier.
I use the bathroom items from this pack ALL the time. Low key the toilet… is my favorite
tbh i forgot fitness stuff existed and made it all part of snowy escape in my head. i would never use that giant machine unless i was training to climb the mountain. even then, i would rather read the book for skill bc i hate leaving my house in game and in real life.
Your videos are a breath of fresh air, always enjoy watching
reviewing old packs is such a good idea!
Also big idea, build an industrial loft for a photographer that loves fitness and rock climbing with the fitness and mosquito packs 👀👀👀👀👀👀
This is the most millennial thing I've ever read in my life.
Sincerely, a millennial
@@bladeofSteele from a Millenial to a Millenial 😂
I would love to see you attempt making a house using Fitness Stuff and Base Game together like trying to use those window on the whole house and try to make the stuff in the pack look good together so people can really know if they would like to buy this stuff pack
oh and she has to add a full on home gym to it
I love the clothes and I like build stuff more ❤but there are better packs though that is worth more your money
This pack needs to have a free period
As much as we meme on the free earbuds that come with the pack, they are interestingly the only wireless headphones in the game. That being said, I do remember at the time needing to download a mod to let me be able to do day to day sim things while still listening to the headphones. I don’t know if it’s still the case where that mod is still necessary, but such a weird choice to not let sims do stuff like go jogging while using the headphones
if you select “turn on” instead of “listen to” it doesn’t add any action to their queue and you still get the increased fun benefit!
I used to have this pack but I had to get the game again so I lost it and I loved the climbing wall, buy stuff and especially the earbuds, so now every time my loading screen says “no I don’t want free earbuds” I scream at the scream “YES I DO”
fitness stuff is such an interesting pack. I use it very consistently, but really only the pendant light, art, and hairs. so it doesn't seem that worth it on the surface, but I probably use the light in at least half my builds so I've gotten a lot of value out of the pack.
i love the bathroom set, the hoodie and shoes, and the earbuds are great for gameplay
I think it's fair to do a building using this stuff pack. I wanna see a house with these windows and that door, they are so cool and chic
Legitimately snowy escape should have gotten one because LEGITIMATELY(x2) I have no idea to to get the early levels of rock climbing skill without it
i enjoyed this video a LOT . please do more videos of reviews older packs cause a lot of us don’t have all the packs and we want to know what things are in the pack and are they worth buying or not.
if anyone agrees with me like this comment 👍
I quite like that pack, I'm using the treadmill and bathroom stuff frequently, and one of the female tops are one of my best for teenagers :)
First!! I wish they put out some of these older packs for free lol
I just wished they refreshed every pack in the sims
That picture is actually the one reason I’ve ever considered buying fitness stuff. The ceiling lights are good too.
After having something for years and then not having it anymore, you start to realize how much you need it
Now I want to see a base game/fitness pack house! Just because you said the fitness pack build/buy is hard to use!
Yes, I would love to see a build challenge with this pack and base game, or paired with Snowy Escape or what ever other pack you think it's fit with.
"Or I was a teenager and therefore my opinions were annoying and invalid" GIRL BUT SAME THOUGH FOR WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER LMFAO. I felt this statement so hard, I wanted to stand up and start clapping lmao
I love this pack! One of the first ad-ons I’ve bought.
So maybe I'll buy it during the next sale!
i actually love everything about the fitness stuff pack except the damn free earbuds!
I really wish they wouldn't neglect masculine frame sims - I still think we need way more facial hair options in base game.
I'm glad there's cross pack compatible with Snowy Escape with the mountain climbing machine.
I use the workout channel all the time in my games!! I find it very convenient.
I use TV for exercise all the time in my gameplay, it is so convenient
I personally think the furniture looks incredible. Useful for building a gym but would also look really nice inside a normal house.
You used the windows and doors in one of your "every room is a different pack" builds. (You spon Fitness Stuff for the outside)
I got this pack for free at some point and I do use it fairly often (that wall art is a staple in my houses) but unless you very specifically want to make gyms with better gym equipment... eh.
