in my current sims legacy, our great grandfather sim was a music producer, and all these generations later were still living on the money he made. my sims are like socialites who don’t really work cause he made so much money

Honestly there's a lot of cool story you coukd do with that, regardless of how you get the money. Hell, you could even just use cheats, do a challenge.
How long can your family last with a million simoleons and no jobs. Cheat yourself a million, and then live off it for as many generations as possible without adding to it until it runs out.

I would love to see Stanley try rags to riches again with the celebrity autographs. If you appraise them and then wait a couple days to sell them, you make so much money with that.
price also goes up when the celebrity sim has died 😼
She did that and it was a huge flop. Even appraised autographs she got to supplement other rags to riches, and it wasn't worth it. It's in the playlist if you want to watch.

@VeraaVexx Yes, she didn't have them appraised initially, and no one died. It was still less than frogs or collectibles, at least for her playstyle. Celebrities are beyond annoying, and I think Kayla feels "on and off" about them. Besides cross stitching, she hasn't really done any twice. Maybe she'll try again, you never know. I immediately take away the celebrity's fame and watch them sadly try to get into the club. I love playing as one, but the townies are awful. I'm rambling, sorry, I'm sleep deprived. Hopefully, she sees your comment and reconsider. :)

I discovered this when I got Get famous a year ago and I also thought it was so ridiculous just how easy and fast it was to make tracks especially when you compare it to making music when you reach the right level on an instrument. Writing songs on like a violin or something takes AGES so I'm glad this makes it 100x easier
Sims can randomly hear their released music on the radio. Any station will play it and they get a moodlet.
I knew I should have put “Stanley becomes a SoundCloud rapper” on my 2024 bingo card…
I used this item to get my sims through University, it was amazingly helpful at making them some side simoleons really quickly and consistently!

Del Sol Valley may be an abomination, but I use most of the Get Famous gameplay all the time. The acting career feels surprisingly like actual on-set life haha. I love how gossiping and the crafty table are tasks for the day. I also enjoy the mixing, but use it less often for sure.
i love using the celebrity mechanic! its really fun to get the perk that allows you to gain fame from basic skill building or work tasks. i like imagining my sim is just a great Online Poster whos just posting about their day every day and is really well known but doesnt gain money from it, ESPECIALLY if i make them socially awkward or cringe! it makes such a fun story to play
Really enjoying these pack revisits, I think that many of us tend to forget about or overlook certain features when we get into certain cycles of gameplay. Get Famous was one of the first/only packs I had for a long time, so I feel like I appreciate it more than most people do. My brother-in-law is a DJ and every time I've made him as a Sim, he lives on that music station.
Unrelated, but Kayla has been looking SO BEAUTIFUL lately. So bright and glowy, you love to see it.

I did the Pack A Sack Lunch thing from the dishes in the Community Center! Then I took them home, stuck them in my little fridge, and unpacked them when I wanted a meal. I got six meals that way!

The recreation center in San Sequoya that Simsie built is a lifesaver for so many of my challenge Sims! (Spent a lot of time there recently.) One tip about the NPC-made food: If you choose "Pack into Sack Lunch" they will put a serving in a bag. Then click "Add to Inventory" and you can bring as much as you want home. I've done that at the Spice Festival several times too. 😀 Definitely going to need to give this mix music thing another chance too.

I use this frequently. Particularly if I'm playing a legacy challenge, it's always a good thing to make sure you can pay the bills 😂 It's my favourite thing from "Get Famous" 😂

Kayla should do Deli’s tiny town challenge, but instead of using Deli’s original sims, she uses a bunch of Stanley’s instead. Imagine seeing a Hot Dog town with 7 yellow/red tiny homes (cottage, farmhouse, industrial, mid century, victorian and contemporary etc). Stanley has literally been training his whole adult life for this challenge lol

Discover university has a similar food issue. Although...I dont consider people filling the coffee table space with food an issue, especially since you cant cook in your dorm lol to bad its mostly cake and sweets tho
Ever since they updated the game to have slots on toilets and sinks, other sims at university set their food down on the backs of toilets. There’s just a group of sims chowing down in the bathroom at all times lol
Oh, I hoped for this one. Since I discovered that thing in a super sim challenge, it was convenient cause it's only two tiles and not three on two like the video Station plus you need a chair and it's a lot of space in a small house. So, since I discovered it, I use it very often.

In my legacy challenge the heir of gen 5 was a music producer and he used to make like 8k simoleons a day thanks to the royalties. It was so good and I loved this heir, I think it was my favorite generation bc of that. I had so much fun playing this way and it was also the first time i played with music producing, I love Get Famous it's one of my favorite pack but I always do the acting career (one of my fav too) but THIS item makes the pack even better!!
So glad she did this as I have a musician lined up as one of my sims for my play through of Deli’s Tiny Town challenge and I wasn’t sure on the profitability and ways around only making money via music so this is just 🙌🏻

Crazy how Get Famous (2018) is a redo of The Sims Superstar (2003) with much less content and interactions. We had various objects and places to make a musician/singer sim but here everything is summarized in a single object

AHHH I got so happy when I saw the notification!! Some time ago I got in a nonstop obsession with rags to riches and tried every item that would give me money. This one made me rich in a blink! So I always use it😂 (not when I want my sims to suffer tho)

When I play with sims in the entertainment/musician career, I sometimes have them use the mixing station, cuz then it's like they're live performers who actually sell their own work on the side

Making music with this object is so fun. Deciding when to add a drop, or turn off or on a specific instrument. It’s kinda like playing around in the Garage Band program. I wish Simsie had experimented more with it instead of just turning it all on, but I know she was scared about being copyright struck so she didn’t want to play the music.
Quick advice! If you wanna take the grilled food made by other sims in community lots, you can put it in meal bags and then you can take it to the inventory. It's a little tedious, because it make one bag per plate. And if you don't put it in the fridge, it goes bad. So, in rags to riches I usually only take a few so the bags doesn't goes rotten.

I really like Del Sol Valley. When I start my legacy challenges I build houses there, I think it's really pretty. And Nancy Landgrab is far away from it. :)
One of the greatest r2r experiences in my game has surprisingly the dog training skill. When you max the skill I think and teach your dog tricks, you can have them perform and people will tip you just like if you played the piano!
I used this for the first time in my legacy challenge as my heir’s sibling’s side hustle and I was shocked at how quickly he started providing for the family

Ive never used the music station, but now that i see it in action, its just like the video creator station. I like giving it to my teens so they can gain skills, and by the time I'm ready to move them to university, they can be self sufficient

I have way too much fun with putting the streaming station + the music station + a streaming drone + an easel + any 2 instruments into all my builds xD (gotta get the money somehow bc i play vampires a lot and it takes some time to get the sun resistance perk)
When I was young, I used to use that music station like I would force my Sim to use it every day and also fun
Hilariously, my DJ sim does use this, since she's meant to make her own music as well. But yes, I do adore this and it's so much easier than making the vlog posts since it takes no time to do. You can absolutely be a stay at home parent or have a sim working full time. Honestly, this would be great for Uni sims too if they need funds.
