Oof. That CVT-saddled 4 banger does not sound happy when it's asked to hustle. Good on you guys for recognizing the purpose and target demographic for the Venza. It's a bit of a waste of breath to bemoan the lack of steering feel in something that is 100% just a commute appliance

I heard the Venza was back...the last one was so ugly, I didn’t even pay any attention to it. Then yesterday one pulled up next to me...very different than the original! I have noticed that too about different vehicles...the hybrid is normally better. To that end, how does that comport with the fact that the hybrid models are way heavier than the non-hybrid versions of the same vehicle? As to Toyota as king of hybrids. I agree. Although I own 2 TESLAs now, I am a big fan of Toyota’s approach to hybridization, i.e., because people don’t need 300 miles of range on a daily basis, they can make hybrids that have smaller batteries (less of a strain on the supply/recycling system for battery material until they figure out the whole battery eco system), with the addition of an engine that is there if needed for the occasional long trip. The rear styling...F-Pace?

I see the last venza as a 6th gen Camry wagon, it's what I'd imagined the Camry wagon to be in that generation. I never saw them as ugly, there were pretty interesting looking for a Toyota in 2009, and Toyota cars were pretty boring looking in 2009.

I have a 2009 Venza and really enjoy it as my foul weather daily driver. Although I like the looks of this car, just not interested in a CVT-hybrid. Ideal garage is a A90 Supra and a Genesis G70
