I discovered George Bev Shea after I received Christ in 1984. I was introduced to him and the Graham ministry by a real man of God- Roland James Allen-who was black and "loved all nations". He taught us (a mixed congregation) to love this man's singing and his spirit. God rest their souls. Bev Shea's voice is a gift from God.
When I listen to and read about the life of respected MR BEVERLY SHEA I always have tears in my eyes ,and I feel to what an extent this towering servant of God was dedicated for the cause , this great man of God becoming an ideal to millions .He was filled with the power of the mighty RESPECTED HOLY SPIRIT
I had not heard of George until I came to England. (I am from Jamaica West Indies) One of the girls asked if I heard of him and I said no. I was looking for records to play, on my new record player. The 1st record I bought was I'd rather have Jesus by him. It has been my pride and joy until someone stole it. When he sings, I am transported to another place. That voice is something else. I listen to him now on RUclips. I will never get tired of listening to him. He may have gone from this world, but his beautiful voice remains, and is still working in peoples hearts I'm sure
I came to the Lord about 4 weeks ago, and as he sang "The old rugger cross, and i just wept, tears of joy'. I always have him easily available on the computer, and love it when his voice fills the screen!'

After 104 years of being a blessing to several generations, George Beverly Shea, who blessed us with the likes of "How Great Thou Art", "Then Sing My Soul", "I'd Rather Have Jesus", "The Wonder Of It All", and countless gospel hymns has gone to be with His maker. May His soul rest in peace. He lived a fulfilled life, glory be to God.
My Mother loved him and I certanly will miss his wonderful music. George Beverly Shea had a wonderful life and really lived a long life. Thank you George for your wonderful inspiring music of our Savior Jesus Christ. RIP.

Would be wonderful if the songs weren't cut off before the end--a lot of them. I love to hear GBS sing It Is No Secret and others but I like the whole song not ending in mid-word, mid-song...
