I like Shredder's appearance in TMNT 1 better than 2, but Super Shredder is my favorite live action Shredder.
The intro scene for Shredder is burned in my mind forever so I’ll have to say the first design is my favorite.

Every time I see "...his faaace...", all I can think of is how much I hope NECA does a dirty, beat up 'landfill survivor' Shredder from the beginning of this film. Just that beat up, cut up, bloodied up Movie 1 Shredder would be so cool. I know he's largely confined to the shadows in that short-but-memorable scene, but if they can do this Shredder's largely unseen face, then they should be able to fill in the gaps pretty effectively for a whole battle-damaged Movie 1 version. As a matter of fact, such a Shredder would make for a great 2-pack idea for when they finally release Tatsu (they did announce that they were finally able to get Toshishiro Obata's likeness some time ago). This figure is phenomenal, as is this review!

Love the purple but prefer first movie helmet
I like TMNT 2's helmet, but the sleakness of the first movie's design outshines the second one by a landslide.
P.S (Probably Hottake) as much as I love the classic Super Shredder Design, with his crazy spikes, it doesn't compare to the 2014 Super Shredder, I love, love that design, I think it needs to be appreciated more with the effort put into creating this design, and it just looks cool, sure it kinda looks like megatron iron man, and the predator having a crazy looking child, but I don't care I love that design. Though it stinks that it was from a fun but ultimately meh movie from me.
I'm not a big fan of Shedder's look in neither live action movie, but if I have to choose, it's movie 1. I saw him in the theater first.
the mecha/robo version of shredder from the michael bay turtles looked cool
I like the version of the shredder from movie 2. My neca shredder from movie 1 looks like it has glitter which throws the synergy off
It’s not actually a katana, katana are curved and a straight short sword with square cross-guard (tsuba) is called a ninjato. Katana are carried by samurai and are designed for slashing in open areas, ninjato are carried by ninja and are designed for stabbing inside tight quarters or through walls (assassin style).
I called it a katana because 99% of viewers wouldn't know what a ninjato is and there's no actual evidence they existed prior to the 20th century.
Yeaa it's a damn good figure but mine has super duper floppy legs, which is a damn shame for such a cool design. My favourite version of the two live action Shredder is the first one, the sparkly red just looks awesome.

It's not a reissue. It's just more product. They have to use the machines to make different things and then come back to make more.
Honestly I'm not sure what the difference between reissue and just more product is. Is it just semantics or is there an actual manufacturing difference (new tooling, different paint apps, etc)
