Imagine if neca put out a vanilla ice figure. A diorama of him performing while the turtles take on foot soldiers would be legit.
There has to be a kit bash custom out there somewhere
It iss definitely in the works for the near future. Rob Van Winkle said that he wouldn't mind giving rights to his likeness for that sort of thing.

Loved the movie as a kid. As an adult I can see the flaws but the nostalgia factor is there and I still watch it every couple of years
These are some of my favorite figures. I'm glad NECA can keep reissuing them. Secret of the Ooze is the one that sticks out the most for me. Don't know if it just got more reruns or if I enjoyed it more as a kid.

I remember when I was a kid, this movie was my favourite. It's just had more for me back then, for the light tone, jokes, toma and razar, super shredder, and also I liked more the turtles heads . The first movie was a movie more for adults.
great to those who missed the first releases, a chance for them to catch up..but I'm Glad I got to these at their $22 price range.. I even got the 2 pack foot soldiers for $44.. these new figures look fantastic though, even better looking than the TMNT 1 versions.

I've always liked the turtle costumes from TMNT II. I like how they took the look of the original costumes and refined the design to give them a more improved look. I've been looking for these figures since I heard they were released at Walmart, but so far after much searching, I've come up empty handed. I loved the original figures from the 1990 movie and I'm so looking forward to getting these.
If these were made by hasbo,all 4 would have the same exact bodies and head(just different colored bandanas) lol.

I got the two packs that I ordered directly from NECA before getting the VHS boxed set which I thought was weird. I hope they didn't lose my order.
Mine are coming next week. I’m glad to have both set of 4 for the first 2 movies and both shredders. Neca killed it with the accuracy of SOTO.
As a kid, I owned a VHS of Secret of the Ooze, but I didn't get the chance to see the original movie until I was a little older. Everybody says secret of the ooze Donnie is weird, but for me the original movie Donnie is weird

No such thing as too silly when it comes to the turtles since their most popular iteration and intro to most around the world were from the 87 show. Loved all 3 and the first one had the turtles still be silly but they dealt with the dark theme of their father being kidnapped and beaten and them dealing with it and searching for him. Love these figures.

I have a lot of nostalgia for SOTO I loved the soundtrack but still remember being bummed by how Super Shredder defeats himself without a fight and by the lack of Casey Jones.
Not sure if Neca will make figures of the third one but I really would like a set with samurai armors even if the source material is so bad it killed the franchise.
I know the belts are glued on the front which is stupid. but on yours can you move them on the sides or back to adjust?

As much as I like the NECA Secret of the Ooze figures of the Turtles myself, I would've preferred giving the Leonardo figure the head sculpt with the stern face expression that was included in the Secret of the Ooze accessory set instead, and I also would've preferred having the Leonardo figure's katanas and the Donatello figure's bo staff also remade to look like how the weapons had been remade for the second film instead of reusing the same katanas and bo staff that were included with the figures from the first film, and I also would've preferred having the tied straps on the back of the shoulder strap of the Donatello figure's belt be made out of the same rubbery plastic that was used to make the belt instead of using ribbon fabric, and I also would've preferred the holsters of the Michelangelo figure's belt to be longer some so the nunchaku cords won't show, And I would would've preferred the belts to be glued on just the back of the shell and loose on the front, AND I also would've preferred the bandana tails to be longer some made out of cloth fabric.
I like how the Michelangelo figure had been given the same shell that was given to the Donatello and Raphael figures since that is how it was seen of the second film when the costumes had been remade for it.
In fact, the costumes should've been given the same shell details of both the first and second films.
I also like how the belt had been given the holsters for the nunchakus.
A minor detail that the belt lacked of the first film.
I also like how the Michelangelo figure is the same height as the Leonardo, Donatello and Raphael figures.
I prefer all four of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to be the same height of both the first and second films, just like they were of the comics that were published by Mirage Studios and the animated television series that was first aired on December 14, 1987,
When the first and second live-action films had went into production, the Leonardo, Donatello and Raphael costumes should've been made to be the same height as the Michelangelo costume.
Interesting thing about the hips on mine: I ordered the 2 pack versions and received them two days ago, and mine have the same hip joint setup as as the 1/4 scale turtles. Not sure if all the 2 pack versions of the SOTO turtles are like that, or only some of them.
The second movie was fine I loved it, I find it weird that I’ve been hearing lately that some people did not like it, yes it was not as dark as the first but it def was fun. Now the 3rd movie I could understand the hate 😂
Sucks I missed out on these but I'm sure they'll pop up in 2 packs in stores. I was able to get the GameStop TMNT movie turtles but definitely wanted to get the two packs to put the extra heads from the accessory pack I have and would do the same too if I get these.
I really enjoyed the second movie when I was a kid, but only watch parts of it now. I still love that first movie, though.
1st one was vastly superior but even that was a very mediocre movie. Just something I loved as a kid so nostalgia makes it seem great

Yeah, I love secret of the ooze. Super shredder was disappointing and recasting April was weird but it was still a really good time.

I’ve got the turtles from first movie and they are epic if I never had them I’d get this set. There is differences but not enough for me to rebuy them. Although does look like a must buy if you don’t have them and get them all in one set!

Awesome looking figures, the prices are nuts though imo, I may just be stuck in the past when I was paying 20$ cad for my neca figures and now on average there like 60$ my wage is 10$ more per hour than back than but the cost is literally 3x on the average.

@@AnthonysCustoms I wish I could really explain it but chalk it up to my fascination and love of, at the time (which still holds true for 2*) *TMNT, time travel and *Feudal (probably not but I'm no historian lol) Japan (Japan in general...I have always been fascinated by Japanese cultural especially their cooking and way of "simple living"
I love the second movie as well the third one not as much but the first one and the second one were awesome and I can't wait for my VHS box to show up been looking forward to it ever since they released it for pre-order

How can you tell if the 4 pack is a knock off? I know the first 4pack you can tell by the wear and tear on the box?

I don't care for the movie. I loved it as a kid (who didn't?!), but I find it hard to sit through now. The first one holds up fine, but the rest do little for me. I still think the costumes hold up though and that Tokka and Rahzar set is one of my all time favorites. I am still waiting patiently for NECA to ship my four-pack and accessory set so I hope to have them by the end of the year. They're almost so good at recreating these characters in plastic that it's boring, but I'm sure I'll be happy. Aside from the lack of vertical hinges on the hands (they take care of Leo in the toon line, but keep screwing him over in the movie one) my one nitpick with these guys is Mikey should really be noticeably shorter than his brothers. With the amount of reuse going on here I was hopeful they'd do something this go-around to reflect that, but I guess not.

I wish they didn't depart from the way the turtles looked, facially, in the first film. Each turtles had a unique look in that first film and I always disliked that they got more uniform and more derpy. oh well. Second movie is still fun. My kids like it.

In my opinion, i feel Secret of the ooze is too in the middle the turtles. I enjoy my turtle stories either gritty and tied down (the first one) or super outlandish and unbelievable (the second one). I believe the turtles just thrive better in those situations. ill get flack for this but I think Turtles 3 is better than secret of the ooze.

The only 90s TMNT movie that I DIDN'T really like much, was part 3. Even it was "alright" tho. I just really didnt like the look of the turtle costumes. Part 2 gave us the jagged Shredder helmet, Super Shredder, Ernie Reys Jr. and Vanilla Ice! 🤣 ...it was friggin AWESOME!! Sik
The second film isn’t looked down upon that much from the first…i was a kid and remembering alot of the films down fall of less violence was caused by the “soccer mom” outrage of them swearing, and using weapons….which is why if you notice in that film they hardly use there weapons and don’t swear….but the funny thing about that was to fix the fighting with weapons they were just using appliances around them😂 meaning it was like oh you moms were upset about them using weapons that they literally have to find, get, or have the unlikely odds of them getting these weapons…to just grabbing a broom, lamp, or yoyo and turning those into weapons….so there complaint’s just added a extremely likely problem, 😂😂😂to a fairly unlikely one

I loved the 2nd movie. As a kid I liked the 2nd movie more. But hate it? Come on now I’d love to hear someone say they didnt have fun with the Ninja Rap part.

i literally just walked in the door with these from ups when you posted this. the 2nd movie would have been decent without the ninja rap scene... but as it is, it's almost unacceptable as a sequel and only makes the 1st movie better.

The articulation in the elbows and knees looks better than my first movie turtles. Unless I'm just not pushing the joints enough?

I like it TMNT 2 but I love 1 better.
I liked Secret of the Ooze. It could have been better, but I loved the action, comedy, and Jim Henson creatures.
Seeing Bebop, Rocksteady, Baxter Stockmen, Casey Jones would have been great, but I am happy we got to see some more mutants for the turtles to fight.

they did a very bad job with the belts.. especially raph and Mikey! they have them glued too high. in the movie their belts over the bottom line of their stomach,, they shouldnt have glues the front,, the belts in the first one are better

I like the second movie. I never seen TMNT 3...by the time that movie released I lost interest in the OG turtles and moved on to X-Men and futuristic robots and mech stuff.

I just watched your The Batman figure review and this video back to back. So, you hate The Batman movie, but you are okay with the 2nd Turtles movie? Hahaha... Really? I liked the first movie, but the second one was forgettable. But these figures look good.
