My tried and trusted set up:
Wall (damage halving)
Gil Toss (main damage dealer)
Assault twister+ (good to have just in case she dodges too much)
Mug (to steal 99 Phoenix downs)
Aerial Drain (to close the distance as well as avoid attacks, helps top up decent amount of HP too)
SP Master (this is an awesome cheese if you have lotsa SP as it absorbs all damage received and increases your damage output)
Genji Glove (break damage cap)
Genji Helm (Infinite MP & AP)
Ziedrich (for +100 to all stats)
Adaman Bangle (break HP cap)
Yooo my dudes, it’s time for us to beat Minerva for the first time. Here I go in with my tried and trusted set up which worked wonders during the PSP days and 14 years later it’s still gonna down her easily. This was done during the start of chapter 4, so you’re gonna have to farm, farm, farm that SP and Dark Matter to max out your stats if you wanna deal with her easily. Ain’t got no time for Genji Shield or Armor, which of course if you do get it is gonna make this fight much easier. But hey, beating her early is the name of the game, innit?

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. In my case, Minerva attacks are draining my 10 mil SP in three hits (I play on Normal). I see you have 20 mil SP and you can withstand most of her attacks. Should I do something else?
It’s helps to cast wall and max out your vitality/defense & spirit stats to reduce damage received which will also cause you to lose less SP when absorbing damage.

sorry if its been answered before, but what are your stat allocations regarding the materia, i understand you said vitality/defence and spirit but im confused as to how so.
The stats are irrelevant. He's just throwing Gil. You would need billions of gils to throw for these results.

Never played original but I'm planning to platinum this game. Only hard playthrough + 100%missions left and ofc Minerva. I have some q though. Dark Matter what does it give ? I can see on video you are just spamming Gill Tess without talking any dmg that's so cool xD If I get same setup like you would that work exactly the same ?
Yes indeed, that’s why I’ve shared my play through so everyone can benefit. Dark matter is used for material enhancement purposes. Helps to add stat boosts quickly.

How did u get ur gil toss to deal 99999? Ive got all the break damage items and had my attack to 255 but i cant deal that much off a toss

What do you have equipped or stats do you have maxed out that all her attacks are doing 0 dmg? Also how much Gil did you need?
Set up is in the description my dude. As for Gil I reckon 37m would be sufficient with 255 attack and Mastered SP Master. This will allow you to deal 99,999 for the whole fight.
@@SatsuiMCOC Description shows Costly Punch, but I'm assuming you just replaced that with Gil Toss for this fight, and otherwise the same.
Not to mention he also has 20 mil SP so basically as long he wasnt getting hit sp master help kept his attacks dealing 99k a hit all the time

The zero damage is due to SP Master Materia.

Approx 55-60m should be enough for hard mode; but for normal around 10m and you’re good

9-6-2: steal gold rolling pins from Holy Tonberry. You can farm around 20m Gil in an hr or so

Equip mog amulet and precious watch you get 2 crystal gloves per enemy they sell for 7500 a piece it's slower yeah but much more manageable

Honestly it’s like a 2-3 hour grind to get the SP and needed Gil. Realistically not that bad a grind cause doing this any other way is going to take way longer

Sorry for the late reply. It’s down to maxing out your attack stat plus equipping Master Materia plus having at least 10m gold to do max damage with Gil Toss in normal mode

It still works, but for me I needed at least 15 mil gil. I had nearly 26 mil gil at the start, the damage slowly went down and I managed to use literally money to beat Minerva lmao.
SP I had was something like 25 million +, I have 19 million gil leftover from my previous 26 million before I saved. I also just got the trophy as I commented this lol, was it worth grinding? Nope, but it was satisfying to say

The fuck? I'm in hardmode, my gil toss doesn't even do like 30k, and I ran out of 20m SP at the 2/3 mark. The fuck am I doing wrong?

Hey, i want to ask what is the SP materia i need to use, is it SP Turbo Attack or the SP Turbo?
That would be SP Master Materia which combines both properties together and allows you to absorb damage; obtainable a bit later after you’ve gotten both Turbo & Turbo attack.
@@SatsuiMCOC Is Minerva near impossible even on normal without millions of sp? All her attacks are one shot and no spells are effective only ap moves that are hard to land. Also she seems to have infinite health. Even trying to use 99 phoenix downs doesn't help. I'm level 70 right now.

Into the fight with maxed out stats and spells that give you wall to tank that damage. If not, you’ll get one shotted. It’s possible without the SP materia trick
How Do you get it to do so much damage?
Gil toss is the way to go my friend; there’s a rather complex formula to it, but you simply need to have tens of millions of Gil so you can hit 99,999 damage. I think I left the details for my set up in the description above.

I'm a grown ass man with a career and a family. I grew up playing games where difficulty was a substitute for length, but I don't have time to sit around playing games for hours and hours every day like I did as a kid. If this kind of thing makes you feel like your own experience was somehow invalidated, maybe try getting out of your basement, walking outside, and touching grass once in a while. The sunlight does wonders for your mental health. ✌️

SP Master Materia is the name of the game. There’s no such thing as cheats or mods for this game on PS5 😂
