I just done the front rotors + pads and now one side has a very loud high pitch metal on metal sound? It sounds like the pad retainers so I had a sus and couldn’t find any marks.. any ideas?
Hey mate, those pad retails was can move just the slightest which can cause them to scrape on the rotor… they may not leave any markings until the car has been driven like that for a little bit. Another possibility could be the new pads… it’s advised to put grease on the metal backing plate of the pads to prevent the metal to metal contact as that can also cause them to squeal.
