I'm so glad you did this video with parts list etc. Your videos will be watched for years to come mate, well done. Personally I would secure the bottom of that cooler to limit the shaking of it but that's me hey. How's the Atoto screen doing since the install, any update would be appreciated as I am looking to get one, but maybe not the floating one still thinking of what I really want. Cheers!
@@tobo26 Cheers mate, hopefully someone finds the videos useful. I’ll be getting an intercooler in the near future so I’ll take a look at securing it on the bottom then. I’m hoping not, but I may even have to relocate it. The ATOTO unit is going great, I’ve since removed it from my car and put my EONON one back in but I’ve put the ATOTO one into my daughter’s car. Any way you go will be a massive upgrade to the factory ICC. Gotta have my tunes 🎶
A easy way to connect lines cut the in and out trans side of the heat exchanger ,Tap the fittings 1/8 and fit tails to them now connect to your rubber hoses to the cooler
Just watched your 2 videos on the xr6 (old one with milkshake clean out), you did real well. Helps give us old buggers a bit of confidence to do the same and hope for the best. With your Fairmont, how did you go with the wheels off set to make them fit so nice. I've got a BA G220 and wanting to put the same Dspeed 05's on mine. Thanks. Teddy
Thanks mate, the milkshake one is the one I’m currently trying to get back on the road. So far so good. As for the wheels, they’re just bolted straight on, no spacers or anything but because I wanted the cars to sit low I did roll all 4 wheel arches to avoid scraping on the side walls. The rims are 19”x9.5” with +22 offset with 245/35/19 tyres and it all works really well.
Hey buddy love your videos... I have been tossing up running an external cooler for more than 12 months now and I feel that these external transmission coolers can run the ZF temperatures inconsistent I have just replaced my heat exchanger with a JayRad brand exact replacement because I do believe that the Engineers for ZF and Ford would have designed it with an external cooler although I feel that running constant temperature is more important than super cool all the time and that can be detrimental to the gearbox in itself
@@davesmith6754 Cheers mate, much appreciated 🤙🏼 I had seen mixed opinions on either or before I went with this setup. I decided to go this way just to eliminate any chance of a heat exchanger failing. I am interested to see what the temp of the fluid is when the car is at driving temp.
Hey mate, great job - really enjoy watching your videos. 👍 I've got a BF Futura, same colour as well but it has the BTR 4 speed - will the same transmission fittings work on that as well, do you know or are they different? Keen to get a cooler on mine to avoid the dreaded milkshake! Also, you mentioned something about a hard line for the coolant - is that a genuine Ford part? Cheers. 👍
Hey mate, the fittings on the BTR are different to the ones on the ZF but I’m pretty sure there are BTR AN fittings you can buy to make it work. As for the hardline, the one I have I took off of a motor from a BA that I have, it may have been from a manual car. I can’t say for certain as but I assume that the if you can find the hardline from a manual car it will delete those exchanger outlets completely. Worst case the rubber hose I used for now, works a treat. Cheers for the feedback too mate. Much appreciated 👍🏼
Reckon one would get away with using brass air conditioning lines and fittings for the trans cooler? If so I can grab said materials from work & save a fortune.
Hello, "Jeenzy" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channnel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. If you tell I can tell these problems. Where can I tell? Here or email?
If anyone is interested, I've listed all of the products I purchased for this kit in the video description. Cheers 👍

Nice work man, good to see you are getting your main daily driver all sorted out and up to the spec you want it at.

Hey mate, fantastic job you have done and this this is what I need to do for the wife's FG XR6 which has the same future Mr Whippy. Thanks.

Awesome work, looks really good👍

Mayby some spring washers on the cooler
Well Done Jeenzy, apart from the tranny fittings I suppose it's the same for a BF MK2. That looks nice and tidy mate Kudos to you 👍.
Thanks make 👍🏼
Yep, this car is a MK2 BF so if the car is a 4spd everything apart from the fittings will work.

Did you top-up the gearbox oil after the installation, the longer lines and oil cooler will add oil volume.
Yep, I serviced the transmission at the same time I fitted the cooler so has all new fluid through the whole system. Cheers
