Washoe for forestry = 😍 That way the cargo line can go through the mountain (like a dream!) and also easily access the port for ship building. Gotta get those cruse ships and fairies going so tourist can cross the channel from ABC to the theme park in style.
I also personally love watching you place buildings. The little stories you tell for the reason they were "built" makes it feel more homey.
Thanks again for another amazing episode! Can't wait to see the next set up!

Just binged through every single video in the series over the weekend after I found you on TikTok. I am obsessed.
Washoe has my vote for forestry area it just makes sense to have farming and forestry go hand in hand!

Washoe for forestry area. And have the cargo rail lines that you suggested, it's got my vote.

When you do your airport you should make a riverside tourism district. Hotels, Fancy restaurants, European stylized buildings ect.

It would look really cool if you expanded the ore into the mountain and then created three big mining pits with the large saw extractors.

Hi ... so let me continue with highways.
To get the naming straight ... 30:21 I call this Alphabet-South, [ 31:13 overwiew] between Riverfront Estates and the bridge you have Alphabet-West, Laurel District would be Alphabet-North, Belmont = East1, Valley = East 2.
The main highway is going into that East-West-tunnel and is branching off the Southern loop so it does not have service interchanges itself!? Yes, the A-South service connection is well used because you a funnelling all access to the district through is - but a funnel may turn into a bottleneck once people move in and as soon as you maybe grow further. So you can "unfunnel" by branching off a service interchange (just a half connection between bridge and Alphabet; Southern Loop to Alphabet is not needed) from A-West interchange. This would swing around 30:23 and connect near Park City Park as a mixture of S-curve and switchbacks. This would be a slight detour (maybe with a speed limit) and make sure the A-South connection still gets a share of the utilization.
Back to 31:13 overview. We have this road passing by [maybe future highway], to be connected in A-North and A-East. Alphabet City itself should connect to both directions of the road but does not need one single service interchange for that - to half interchanges will work perfectly: a northbound half connection in A-North and a westbound half connection in A-West. The E/W-tunnel should also connect to both directions with the ramps to/from A-North already splitting off in the tunnel and curving around to A-North. The little above ground stubs of the E/W-tunnel (western branch) at East1/Belmont would continue to merge into the bypassing road at East2.
East1 would be where E/W-tunnel (western branch), Southern Loop and A-West service interchange merge with good lane math with many (5?) lanes ... on the shared route to East2 would quickly have narrow down (3?) into something you can actually merge into the bypassing road.
The big question is: will the Southern Loop connect to the Northbound road? That northern branch really needs another elevation level and that might look overbuilt and might collide with some of the roads that are also in to "Belmont Hills" district marking. It's not worth the effort for the current users of the A-South interchange, vehicles originating from the current extend of Alphabet City. However, if Alphabet City expands south of the A-South service interchange in a substantial way those people should not drive through the town to reach A-North interchange.

As always, another great episode. I'm with you. I have Plazas and Promenades, but I don't think it adds much to the game. I agree that the "paint a designated area" thing is a bit played out.
