Great review and a lovely setup.... I’m not pointing fingers at anyone other than the brand, that much money for plastic storage boxes is absolutely ridiculous. I have a Ford Ranger, rooftop tent ect and have been camping for quite sometime... once you hit the 80-100 buck price range they are pretty much all the same quality. I purchased a few boxes 2 years ago, waterproof, dust proof, strong enough to use as a step and they set me back 60 a piece. This hole over-landing thing is taking ppl for a ride. Just my opinion. 🤙
Thanks for your input Marc. Let me know what you are using. I would like to take a look as well. BTW, I did not mention this in the video but I have no association with Roam or any other company.
Hi Diego. Thanks for watching. What matters is that you are out there having a good time. I also ride a Harley and have many friends with a wide range of bikes but we all have a great time riding together. Overlanding is the same. Some of the more expensive gear can provide some benefit at times but the good times are more about hanging out with good people no matter what gear you are using.
Hi D. Thanks for watching. I have not owned a Plano (with the exception of a small pistol storage case) but know the quality is very good. Prices now have really gotten out of control.
Thanks to you I finally got a good idea to solve my kitchen bin for camping! A nice slim long bin, instead of a deep bin that I'm always digging through haha cheers!

Been looking for a video like this. I like seeing how different people set up their boxes. I am like you as well, I like to have everything in one box. Just grab and go. But Jeeze that kind of money for a plastic box is crazy, I use Ridgid boxes to store all my gear, works well. Wish they would make bigger boxes though lol
Thanks for watching SK and your feedback. I agree, they were pricey when I bought mine but now simply out of reach. They are very rugged though. Heading out one day, my wife did not latch my tailgate completely and when pulling out from a stop light, the container fell out with about 80 lbs of recovery gear! everything stayed in tact but now I always keep the container strapped in!
Thanks Josh. I can definitely attest to their durability. Had one fall out of the truck bed at about 35 mph. No problem, only a few scratches and the contents were secure.
I have some Action Packer boxes too, and although they are less expensive than these, they are by no means cheap. You could argue that there are boxes similar to Action Packer storage for a fraction of their cost. Looking at the way these are designed, they look to be worth the price, if your budget allows it.
Now I know I’m not the only one. Driving a Raptor, Diamondback cover, raised bed cover storage, just throwing money at Roam, and Yeti. Weird, but comforting.
