I don't like that you can't check out their menu ideas until checkout...just to see if they have things i would want to make and eat. But i love your videos....100thumbs up
The first one does look the better of the two. Baking tip#1: When using a glass pan, set your oven 25 degrees less than the recipe calls for. Why? Glass browns quicker than metal; therefore, I recommend a metal baking pan fort coffeecakes, and always use a baking parchment sling. Baking tip#2: Put a piece of aluminum foil on top of the baking pan the last half of the called-for time in the oven. Why? To prevent over-browning. Almond flour browns quicker and deeper than flour does. Baking tip #3: If you don't want whatever it is you're baking to brown too much, bake it in the lower third, and certainly not past the middle of the oven. The closer to the top of the oven you put a baked good, the more chance it has of over-browning. Just a few tips from your Uncle Jim.

I baked it like the recipe called for in a glass pyrex dish with parchment paper for exactly 45min, and it was perfect. I believe in checking the dish out a few times w/the oven light on during the baking process to see if adjustments are needed.

Very amatuer baker here. Just made the ketocookingchristian cake and it was a rousing success. I have made a few of your winners and have been very happy with the results. We are only one month into keto and are having mixed results. I am down 16 pounds but my wife is only down three. I keep encouraging her to not give up. We are not strict carb counters but are trying to stay under 35 or so every day. Keep up the wonderful work you are inspiring to many. (BTW used a metal 9x9 pan , cooked a full 46 minutes and it came out perfect.)

I just made the recipe by Keto Cooking Christian, and I'm enjoying it for a few reasons. 1) I didn't sift, 2) used 3/4c combo Bocca Sweet & Allulose (b/c I hate the cold sensation of erythritol), 3) used 2tsp van ext and 4) used only 1.25c AF plus 1/3+c GF flour & 2tbsp psyllium husk pwdr (I'm LC not keto), since I had no oat fiber and wanted it to still rise bread-like. It came out just like moist cake so the recipe has a lot of wiggle room if you're like me and don't care for too much AF or erythritol in baked goods.

I saw this on Martha Stewart: in order to keep your parchment in place, use binder clips. Because they are metal, they can go right into the oven. If you are using convection, it will keep the paper from flopping into the batter. ❤🌅🌵😷

Putting the butter outside to soften it is probably the most bestest southern-style baking tip I've ever heard. Genius! I live in Florida (born and raised) so there is always heat...so much heat, unless it's raining 😬

I have had to change to a ketogenic diet for health reasons. I was doing well for many months cutting out carbs and sugar. That said, not sure if it’s the pandemic of my mind “f’ing” with me cause I’ve been craving cakes something crazy! I’ve searched RUclips for keto desserts, and tried them. So far the the winner of your comparison “ keto coffee crumb cake” is the ONLY recipe that I’ve made that’s so good, that I don’t miss coffee crumb cake made the non-keto way. This tastes like a Starbucks coffee cake to me ! Thanks for doing what you do! I’m not sure I would have found this recipe on my own. Also, going through the effort of making something Keto and it turn out not what you expect or taste “wierd” is really disheartening and makes me miss non-keto more! Thanks again! Youre awesome!! Your comments are the real deal and what I experienced when I took a bite. BTW I can have a huge piece and it barely moves my glucose!

That's actually a great idea, Jo! And yes. I'll say that the weather this summer has tracked along just as hot as our weather was in Pensacola. Just no ocean breezes and no afternoon rain storm! But sometimes HOTTER temps and higher humidity, coupled with the "city effect" of warming concrete.. it's HOT here. And I say that as a Florida resident for 15 years! LOL

I was given a tip that I use when baking with almond flour. I was told to cover the coffee cake with foil and remove it for the last 10 minutes or so to keep the top from burning. Definitely helped.

I have many tiny whisks that I use frequently. Love them. Some came from Bed, Bath and Beyond, but most came with hot chocolate/coffee gift sets.

This was awesome as always. Could you do a potsticker recipe review? I made some from a reddit recipe that were really good but I think they could be improved. I also ordered a waffle iron and am excited to have my own highfalutin-style chaffle off this weekend!
When you use a glass dish instead of a metal pan, it helps to lower the temperature 25 degrees. I don't remember where I picked up that tip, but I have it written in my Better Homes Cook Book. I love your videos. You're the cutest.
