They may not compete directly in terms of dimensions, but the golf is it’s biggest competitor because the golf comes second in sales, right behind the clio.
This car sits in a segment class below the golf in Europe. This was very slow when it came out. It was basically an entry point car that no one buys except rental company's.
I have one of it's competitors, my trusty i10. I splashed out on cash and got the 84p version instead of the 67hp one. I still manage overtakes from time to time!
It's impossible to generalise cars in Europe. European countries are very different from eachother and you see different cars depending where you go. Here in Luxembourg for example you see a lot of Audis, BMWs and Mercedeses
If you're still in Turkey and if you can afford, you should also try Bmw 320i or 520i with 1.6 litre engine. Normally those cars have 2 litres in other countries but only for Turkish market, Bmw is offering 1.6 litre option. Technically they are not better than 2 litre option in any way but it enables customers to buy 3 or 5 series with less tax.
The Golf is not the biggest competitor of the Clio. If any VW, it would be the Polo, but given the price and quality difference most people wouldn't be cross-shopping the two.
I really enjoyed this review! You have a great tone when reviewing and you should 100% stick with it. I like the standard no nonsense review format, nothing flashy. I'm also an American and so I can't fathom driving a car with 67 hp. I drive a 2000 4runner with a 5 speed and that has 183 horsepower and I feel like that's the slowest you can get away with so 67 horsepower is crazy. Anyways, keep up the content and I'll be excited for when you upload next. Have a good one!
The real reason that this car doesn't have a unit is that when you add the screen from factory it just adds a grand of taxes into its already hella expensive price tag, so it is just left out from the factory and people customize theirs. The clio is a safe, economic and nimble car but there is obviously not much to talk about it.
Next time try the Audi A1 or any Vag group, 1.0 tfsi engine, it's a bullet and brilliant on corners, I couldn't believe how good it is for such a tiny 3 cylinder engine
in Turkey, low powered cars, especially diesel ones, are popular because of the high annual taxes. I have a renault symbol 1.5 diesel (actually a dacia but who cares lol) which is pretty ok thanks to 150nm torque. even if you have more than one passenger, you can really feel it :D you can always floor it to hear that tiny turbo, and still not break any speed limits :D if you need any translation for Turkish, let me know!
The biggest competitor for the Clio is not the Golf, the Clio competes against VW Polo, Kia Rio, Hyundai i20 etc.
The Golf is a bit bigger

Thank you for supporting!
Indeed very american guy👍🏽
The previous generation Clio had the top spec model called Clio RS 220 with 220hp and a dual clutch transmission

Good info I didn’t know that!
@@AnwarAndCarsIf you ever have the time to do so, give me a heads up when you are in istanbul so i can show you a even worse car. My peugeot 206
There is a 1.3 TCe with 130hp its quite fun to drive
I’ll have to check that one out!
Check out Dacia Sandero/Logan. They're Renault's aquired brand, using same engines, but selling them for even cheaper
Amazing video! keep it up
Thank you bro! Hope you’ve been doing well

I definitely need to, this isn’t the first time I’ve heard great things about those cars
But this is SCe version without a turbo TCe with turbo would be more comparable
