This was so informative. I’ve had severe migraine issues and skin rashes. I always had a fullness in my ear before they would come on. I’m now understanding the role of gluten and histamines and how they effect my health.
Thanks, Dr. Lynch, super great info in this video! So happy to have finally caught one of your Live's LIVE, got to ask a question, thank you so much for answering!
Hope you're doing well now. I grew up on a thoroughbred horse ranch. Jumpers. I got thrown plenty. Thankfully never on my head. My mom wasn't so lucky though. Neck injury. I love horses but they can be feisty.
I have Celiac, it is the gluten in wheat, rye and barley. But I also can not eat oats. I had these symptoms since I was a very young child. I remember telling my mom, I feel like I just ate rocks, my stomach would hurt and I would feel like I was going to vomit. I avoid gluten like the plague! Because for me gluten is POISON! Thank you for sharing this information.
Listening to this while high on histamine (what I call my brain fog/flushing episodes), so I apologize if I don’t make sense at any point. Triggered by taking a warm epsom salt bath 🙄 I was dx with the trifecta EDS/POTS/MCAS about 6/7 years ago and I exhausted myself trying to find answers with no luck concerning the MCAS aspect, just endless guessing and pill trials EVEN in the natural realm. A few years ago I kinda gave up hope of controlling my MCAS/migraines and have often been miserable and hopeless- you wouldn’t want to have lunch with me 😆. It sometimes feels like medicine just hasn’t caught up to me. Now I’m checking back in and I’m grateful for your research and work in making these healing elixers ❤️. I’m now able to connect a lot more dots. Excited to try histamine block and also the NADH+CoQ10. Hoping I can swallow the capsules as when you’re super fatigued and nauseous it can be hard to get stuff down🤞🏻
Hi Moody ;) - watch this video too - ruclips.net/video/SIB_wzBSeHY/видео.html The NADH is a lozenge - so easy. The Histamine Block is a small capsule - so should be easy. Worst case, open it and mix in bite of food. Consider an online consult with Elizma Lambert - www.elizmalambert.com I suspect you'd do well with Adrenal Cortex with breakfast in the morning, Optimal Electrolyte a couple times a day, PQQ Lozenge 2-3 times a day, Optimal DHA with dinner and Histamine Block Plus 2 times a day and ProBiota HistaminX after dinner. But - there is no lifestyle/envirornment or food changes here - just thoughts on supplements. That's where Elizma may help you along with reading Dirty Genes book -
I haven't even watched yet and know this is going to be good! Thank you Dr Lynch for helping me get my hemipeligic migraines under control. 1 a week to 1 every two years now.
@@DrBenLynch Optimal Electrolytes daily, magnesium, B2, and histamine X if I ate too many histamine foods like a banana and an avocado in the same day. Now I'm on to get this newly dx rosacea under control.
I just found out about histamine migraine connection tonight. This is after years of struggling to figure out my triggers. The most difficult thing has been that it isn’t just a single cause effect relationship. After extensive elimination, re-elimination diets, food diaries I came to the conclusion it was eating too much of one thing in a day, and some stuff will not trigger a migraine until the next day. I also began having random reactions every now and then to random foods, but never linked them together, and they don’t always cause the same reaction. Everything in this video is discussing almost everything it has painfully taken almost 20 years to figure out.
Another masterclass, thank you so much Ben!!! Soo grateful, its such useful what you 're explaining here, my patients will benefit from all i' m learning everytime listening to you. Thank you!!!
You're absolutely right..... Good morning how are you doing over there hope you're having a wonderful day it's another lovely day that the lord has made
After doing lots of research, and being in the carnivore diet i realised that when i are Sauerkraut my autoimmune flared. I get pain in my bladder which occurs like clock work the morning after i eat something that irritates me. I didn’t make the connection to histamine until i tried to increase food from only eating meat and fat. I now realise that my food intolerance is down to histamine which also makes my thyroid TSH go up - completely resolves when i only eat carnivore. I’m text book, with the histamine flare ups… I’ve now increased, copper, zinc garlic , not b12 as that causes a flare and my b12 is pretty high from the meat i eat. Can you recommend a probiotic to help me rebalance my gut? I’ve started eating beef kidney, which is disgusting but i know it’s high in DAO but i want to restore my gut. I also get really bad head aches if i eat dairy so avoid that too. I’m going to try fasting as i read that can help too, so trying all angles- manage symptoms while restoring my gut. I do find that a run makes me feel better if i’m particularly feeling rubbish.. Anyway any insight into how to get the gut creating this enzyme would be great 😊
i found studies with antihistamine bacteria it's l plantarum, b breve, b Longum and l acidophilus but I'm not sure if fourth was on the list it was long ago I found such probiotic 😉 and it helps got the same with sauerkraut when overdosed bio bacteria extended kefir drinking daily for two weeks my fingers were becoming red and when I was eating anything reactive to me fingers were becoming purple.. so I used it as an perfect indicator LOL and tested all fermented stuff around the only stuff not flaring it was plain basic kefir yogurt basic milk bacteria I only forgot to test natto i believe we still need fermented stuff only without anything funky I like to eat garlic and onions, fried onions give antihistamine quercetin i skip all flavanoid colorful stuff instead I use GlyNAC to boost natural antiinflammatory glutathione in own body of all supplements tested only one that made any noticeable effect was benfotiamine and only the first time 😂 once I spiked histamine with cacao and tomato overdose of stuff related with histamine I still use apple vinegar I must still try cutting coffee to check if... but that's a hard one for sure I also inclined bad and use mouthtape cause of suspicion of apnea cold shower with coffee cases me to shiver later so I suppose something is not right here next stuff I'll try will be methylene blue 😂 my mom had it worse but can't convince to skip sugars and plant oils in diet had pylori too reflux probably leaky gut too but everyone has own brain and will, free decision brings no harm is acceptance of effects of it... but what surprises me is that her hair not ages at all, and I have some gray hair she none 😂 crazy is there any adaptation in higher chronic body stress? must be otherwise it makes no sense
@Dr Ben Lynch When we have issues with Histamine, horribly high homocysteine, MTHFR, chemical sensitivities, can't take NAC because I can't tolerate Sulphur, which I need for detoxification/glutathione and can't take electrolytes because I can't tolerate salt....where does one turn or start? My adrenals are really taxed, always in fight/flight mode or just one quick small stressor away. A lot of the supplements sound amazing but how do I get myself to the point where I can take them?? My health has completely tanked being a TBI caregiver for 11 years, an ungodly amount of stress, oh and let's not forget constant Roundup exposures. I'm desperate to get my health back if it's even possible.
It all started from mold toxicity. Then developed MCAS and when I’m exposed to mold my eyes, hands, feet, stomach swell and turn red. Then I get the migraines.
yes - so work on the histamine intolerance and clearing the mold. Sauna, liposomal glutathione, PQQ, electrolytes are KEY. Watch this video on Histamine Intolerance - ruclips.net/video/SIB_wzBSeHY/видео.html I'd consider Histamine Block Plus, PQQ Lozenge, Optimal DHA and Optimal Electrolyte to start. Then, after a couple weeks, add in Optimal Liposomal Glutathione Plus - just a few drops a few times a day and ramp up as you feel good. You should always feel great from these supplements. If you feel worse, you're taking too much or your body isn't ready for them yet.
Dr Lynch I hope you see this. My son has been having petit mal seizures for about a year now. Just found out from your Strategene report that his HRH1 Fast and DAO slow...His journey started with profuse BLINKING! Niacin has raised threshold a bit. Is this gene combination likely to be a cause of seizures?! In the video you mentioned headaches to migraines to ??? Seizures?
hormones are definitely dirty. When hormones are imbalanced like this, it's best to dive into the fundamentals and start there. Read Dirty Genes and implement the Soak and Scrub Method to clean up your genes. You'll find a lot of useful practical things you can begin doing in those pages. Supplementing is not productive until the fundamentals are implemented. When I say 'fundamentals', it's a lot of things that most people had no idea to do or were even aware of. amzn.to/3sihkUi
@@DrBenLynch Firstly, I would like to extend my appreciation for your kindness to reply me and for spending your precious time typing the message. can take B12 or L-Methylfolate)? If possible make to us a video too, regards those diseases. I will read the Soak and Scrub Method. God Bless you and your family!
This has all been very informative content. Only thing I'm not tracking is the association between histamine and psychiatric symptoms mentioned like agitation, excitability, etc. Histamine does not cross the blood brain barrier so what is the mechanism by which increased histamine in the gut would have impact on mental health symptoms? I certainly agree with the symptom association described, just trying to figure out mechanism in the absence of BBB penetrability of histamine
Hi Dr Lynch. My mother has been suffering with urticaria for about 5 years. She has been prescribed montelukast and fexofenadine and is about to be tried on dapsone. If that isn’t effective she will be offered immunotherapy. Allergy testing has revealed that the only food she is sensitive to is peanut. She has also had trouble breathing and has finally been prescribed preventer and reliever inhalers. The preventer is already working. She also takes Famotidine to control acid heartburn and thyroxine for hypothyroidism. I wondered if you could advise specific parts of Dirty Genes to digest to try to get a better understanding of what she is experiencing?
Any chance you could comment on how nitric oxide ties in to this? I'm seeing a lot of articles related to histamine/nitric oxide/migraines. Ive been very ill for 3 years and nitric oxide/ammonia seem to be at the core of the issue. I have a "very important variation" for DAO, NOS3, COMT, MAOA.
tried methylene blue that inhibits NO production and antihistamine probiotics? Longum, plantarum, breve and something fourth maybe acidophilus also if I have bad sleep and headache coffee totally intensifies it
I was taking SH DAO and another brand of a histamine block (as per my functional med dr) and avoiding high histamine foods and i was still having regular migraines. I was following a keto diet which made my GF and I also removed dairy and chocolate. I was also avoiding leftovers and eating only fresh foods. My StrateGene test shows I have histamine issues. Not sure why I haven’t seen results of lessening migraines. Nothing I do seems to help.
hi Katie - thank you for sharing. There are many causes for migraine - especially hormonal. I've left a detailed comment for someone else here - so check comments for my response and possible tricks.
@@DrBenLynch thank you for your response. I’m menopausal-post menopausal so not sure hormones are my trigger especially since I can have them just about any day. I have never been able to connect to food triggers as well. I have taken CoQ10, mag, riboflavin to ward off migraines and nothing ever seems to help. I went the Aimovig route and it only helped for so long. I am currently take 2 antidepressants for migraine and vestibular migraines (dizziness with or without headaches) and they no long work either and so hard to withdraw from. Back to the drawing table. Had really hoped my DNA would have helped me solve the mystery. I have homozygous MTHFR too
My husband gets migraines after coffee (even decaf) or chocolate, this started in his late 40s after gallbladder removal. Lives clean lifestyle, no dairy, no gluten, no prescription meds. We did stratagene as well. Do you think coffee & chocolate as trigger would be DAO & histamine?? Or another pathway?
Chocolate can trigger histamines and serotonin. Coffee - not sure - maybe look into a better source? Consider Gallbladder Nutrients for him - after dinner. Even without a gallbladder, this should be helpful for him. www.seekinghealth.com/products/gallbladder-nutrients-caps-60-servings
i rarely have headaches but in days I wake up after bad sleep with a bit headache coffee multiplies it for sure I need to consider dropping coffee to see it it makes difference in context of histamine reactions it's well under control but colour of fingers indicates it's never fully fixed I'm also gonna try methylene blue soon to check if it fixes apnea after loosing weight I'm not breathing as slow calmly and improved focus came with too active thoughts i tend to feel better when I start breathing consciously slowing breaths as if supplying more oxygen then and things start recovering soon the same, the day after drinking alcohol I just need to lay down and breathe through to recovery not eating a thing, maybe drinking lemon juice only fasting for recovery, weird cause I don't know anybody doing the same
How about high-dose Vit. B-5 (pantethine), or even just OTC drug antihistamine? Does the histamine block work similar to how antihistamines or B-5 work?
Dr Lynch I got your histamine block product took my migraine away in minutes but migraine came back half hour later so I took another one how many can I take in a day? I noticed the first three days I took it my urine was really yellow and then the fourth day it was my normal color. I have been telling everybody about your product and to watch your video.
Is histamine block now called histamine digest? I think you’re referring to the DAO enzyme in this video which is your product now called histamine digest?
What about headaches and migraines that are pre menstrual? Always the few days before it starts. I’ve never ever been able to connect my headaches or migraines to any food or drink. Any thoughts for this type of thing? Thanks
Have you tried magnesium glycinate? 600mg is what has worked wonders for me. Good for kids too. Magnesium can help with prostaglandins (among other things). Migraine sufferers tend to be lower in magnesium. B2 and/or CoQ10 are other supplements to look in to.
RE: Premenstrual headaches - I'd consider taking 5-HTP BEFORE you experience any headache. You know the patterns by now and when the headache will come on. If you feel sadness coming on due to the drop of hormones (and drop of serotonin), then taking some serotonin supportive nutrients may help. Taking 1 capsule of 5-HTP for a couple of days prior to your cycle may be the ticket you need. Let me know how it works :) - www.seekinghealth.com/products/5-htp-100-capsules You may also need vitamin B6 and magnesium as these nutrients are needed to support serotonin as well - www.seekinghealth.com/products/magnesium-plus-100-capsules So I'd consider 1 capsule of each of these for a few days before your cycle and a few days into it. Then stop.
Son: I'd consider Optimal Electrolyte for him - most kids don't hydrate - and also keep an eye on his food intake. If he's low blood sugar due to not eating, or he's not metabolically flexible, or he's just eating carbs vs balanced meals of carb/protein/fats, he is susceptible to migraines. He may also be low serotonin (like his mom perhaps?) and 5-HTP may be helpful for him as well BEFORE a migraine starts. 5-HTP may especially be helpful in those with low moods and sometimes anxiousness. I'd consider 1/2 capsule of 5-HTP for him and 1/2 capsule of Magnesium Plus. If he's not getting enough food in him or he's not metabolically flexible, I'd consider 1 capsule of Acetyl-L-Carnitine in the morning before breakfast. www.seekinghealth.com/products/acetyl-l-carnitine-90-capsules
A family member has constant migraines after constant Roundup exposures. Had to move!! Unfortunately, the migraines are still continuing, not as frequently, but still bad. Wondering then if this may have gone into a gut issue. When exposures would occur, she said she felt like she was being kicked in the gut. I'm wondering if it did damage to her gut and when she eats an offending food now, then it triggers high histamine and then triggers migraines? Sound plausible?
Glad you all moved! I grew up in the country with all sorts of chemicals, too. Roundup destroyed me. Roundup tends to destroy bifidobacteria so she should consider ProBiota Bifido to help support healthy levels of bifidobacteria. www.seekinghealth.com/products/probiota-bifido-60-capsules She should also sauna as often as she comfortably can. It will be short duration at first and then slowly she'll get better and more tolerant of it. I could only sauna for literally a couple minutes at first and I had to get out. Do NOT force duration in a sauna - ever.
i had a strong headache when flying but only in one specific plane, but I don't risk flying since going back that time i would never in my wild imagination link it with histamine 🤯
ouch. I'd consider Histamine Block Plus, PQQ Lozenge, Optimal Electrolyte and possibly 1/4 to 1/2 lozenge of NADH + CoQ10 Lozenge. These will help support healthy histamine levels. ONLY take the NADH + CoQ10 Lozenge if you haven't had any food in over an hour. It's best on empty stomach or way away from food.
Hi Dr Lynch I suffer from histamine intolerance and my husband and I used to live in the us but he retired and we decided to move to México but I just found out that you don't ship to México and I don't understand why since we are neighbors you ship to a lot of countries but not México.😔
I have daily headaches for 3 months now never had these issues before, had mri the said the results are fine, I’m 21 male. Don’t know what to do, I take nortriptyline 10 mg buts still feel it a little. Can it be from eyes? Post covid ? Or from my gi issues? Will it ever go away ?
I have really bad hayfever ALL year round. Could this be inflammation? Thinking of trying your histamine products. It gets worse with stress. Many thanks
Migraine is the disease. Headache is the symptom. You’ve never gotten a “migraine” because you don’t have migraine. Thanks for this info on histamine tho!
Hi Kristin - that's a great point. This is why calming supplements can really help people with ADHD. Consider Histamine Block Plus when you find your histamine levels too high. Histamine Block Plus is designed to support healthy histamine levels. Histamine triggers a lot of various neurotransmitters to release and activate in the brain. So optimizing histamine thus optimizes other neurotransmitters. www.seekinghealth.com/products/histamine-block-plus-60-capsules
Red face during/ after sports is high histamine. Consider Histamine Block Plus 1 capsule right before exercise and possibly after if the red face is there. Here's a video on histamine intolerance - ruclips.net/video/SIB_wzBSeHY/видео.html
Can you make a video on blushing? It’s extremely annoying and happens worse leading up to period. It happens when I have normal conversations then it makes me embarrassed because people point it out. There was a time when it didn’t happen for a few years but it’s back. Is it a physical issue? What can be done?
I don't eat any foods known to cause high histamine and I don't drink etc. But I have mega migraine with hormones. I'm trying to work the estrogen dominance out. Are there particular genes implicated?
a number of them - COMT is a big one - but I'd also look into supporting your estrogen levels with DIM + I3C. Learn more about it here - www.seekinghealth.com/products/dim-i3c-60-capsules
yes - it's always dependent on other factors. If you drank alcohol and had gluten and didn't get much sleep at night and were dehydrated - you'd be more likely to have a headache. If you just ate gluten and were well rested, hydrated, you're less likely to get a headache.
hi - half way through at the moment. finding it interesting and maybe applicable to me- I get migraine type headache like clockwork exactly 4 hours after high intensity exercise (so a 5k run at 9am ill be in bed unable to open my eyes due to head pressure by 1pm) - Had brain scan and sinus scans, nothing apparently wrong. Any thoughts as to what it might be? starting to think it might be histamine related but im lost tbh
One trigger of my migraines is also exercise. I would go workout and within an hour I would see the aura and be down with a migraine. If I use a nose spray and take an allergy pill prior to exercise, it can help. No fun 😞
maybe because of hypoxia and lower oxygen supply to tissues what is somehow related with Nitric Oxide exercise also activates mTor while methylene blue which inhibits NO production downregulates mTor which activates inflammation and thanks to this our muscles grow giving signal to fix the inflamed area so maybe something related with these things do you drink coffee if it worsen headaches like for me? btw im researching hairloss mechanisms it's also from inflammation because of tight scalp depriving head skin from blood and nutrition to cells and also from chemicals killing all good natural bacteria on head but what's interesting it was discovered things that were supposed to cause inflammation that all antihairloss medicines wanted to block in reality accompany inflammation to fix it and they worsened hairloss trying to fight good inflammation that repaired stuff
I normally get migraines in which the auras are the worst part of. I now am getting sinus type headaches. I cannot take decongestants because they make my blood pressure spike. Nothing else helps my headaches.
I would look at Brain Nutrients. People are reporting good things regarding this and headaches. Take it as early as you can - the start of symptoms. www.seekinghealth.com/products/brain-nutrients
@Dr Ben, Ive had headaches since a child daily & now @ 60 years . I've been told I have 50% blood flow on Right Neck Artery. Would love a headache free day
sorry to hear this. ouch. I'd work with a great integrative doctor to help increase blood flow. Sometimes just systemic enzymes can help but it may also be structural especially if from childhood. Perhaps a bone is compressing or muscle compressing too tightly over the artery - or if clogged, enzymes may help along with evaluating your total cholesterol panel. Consider working with Dr. Eric Potter via telemedicine and someone locally for imaging. sanctuaryfunctionalmedicine.com
Quick question? With the EMF thing I would feel sick if the TV was on while I slept but there was one good side effect. I always know where the direction of North is. Ever since I have been a child I can tell North wherever I am. (Magnetic field) as my EMF sensitivity has gone down my awareness is less acute. Do you have a good sense of direction too?
@@szymonbaranowski8184 yes. I feel better when I sleep with my head to the north. Second choice is my head to the east. I feel better in nature. Trees seem to help. I should put plants in my bedroom I guess.
I just got the histamine block plus. Been taking one with meals since it seems that two gives me acid reflux. Haven't noticed much of a difference. Was hoping to reduce symptoms of lymphocytic colitis and nasal drainage and itchy skin esp eczema on base of skull on neck I've had for years. Is there a different way I should be taking it. Or is a different product better for this?
Hi Patricia - sometimes foods are so problematic that a supplement cannot offset the reaction. Look at foods and remove the ones you believe are contributing to your symptoms. A great book to help is this one - amzn.to/3ufnrLA
I'd also use the Histamine Block as it's more potent with the DAO enzyme than the Histamine Block Plus. Histamine Block has 2x the DAO enzyme than Histamine Block Plus. Histamine Block Plus is 'plus' because it has so many other ingredients to support the Entire histamine pathway. I'd definitely switch to Histamine Block and take 1-2 with each meal. www.seekinghealth.com/products/histamine-block

Anyway any insight into how to get the gut creating this enzyme would be great 😊
i found studies with antihistamine bacteria
it's l plantarum, b breve, b Longum and l acidophilus but I'm not sure if fourth was on the list it was long ago
I found such probiotic 😉 and it helps
got the same with sauerkraut
when overdosed bio bacteria extended kefir drinking daily for two weeks my fingers
were becoming red and when I was eating
anything reactive to me fingers were
becoming purple..
so I used it as an perfect indicator LOL
and tested all fermented stuff around
the only stuff not flaring it was plain basic kefir yogurt basic milk bacteria
I only forgot to test natto
i believe we still need fermented stuff only
without anything funky
I like to eat garlic and onions, fried onions give antihistamine quercetin
i skip all flavanoid colorful stuff
instead I use GlyNAC to boost natural
antiinflammatory glutathione in own body
of all supplements tested only one that made any noticeable effect was benfotiamine
and only the first time 😂
once I spiked histamine with cacao and tomato overdose
of stuff related with histamine I still use apple vinegar
I must still try cutting coffee to check if...
but that's a hard one for sure
I also inclined bad and use mouthtape
cause of suspicion of apnea
cold shower with coffee cases me to shiver later so I suppose something is not right
here
next stuff I'll try will be methylene blue 😂
my mom had it worse but can't convince to skip sugars and plant oils in diet
had pylori too reflux probably leaky gut too
but everyone has own brain and will, free decision brings no harm is acceptance of
effects of it...
but what surprises me is that her hair not ages at all, and I have some gray hair she none 😂 crazy
is there any adaptation in higher chronic body stress? must be otherwise it makes
no sense
Very interesting. Lots of fresh ginger stops my migraine, so I am wondering, does ginger reduce histamines or it has another action?
Yes it does by reducing inflammation. Ginger is a known anti-inflammatory. Inflammation increases histamine.
video about GABA possible ? as always thanks for the new content
Seizures?
Is there also a histamine connection to ocular migraines?
Must be why I always take Benedryl when I have a headache. It helps.
I have been diagnosed with PCOS, Fibroid, Endometriosis , Could you talk about Endometriosis, please? Many thanks!
hormones are definitely dirty.
Thank you so much! This was very helpful and even entertaining at times 😄🍽🍷
Glad you enjoyed it!
Dr. Lynch, what do you think of the following lactose bacteria: Lactobacillus delbrueckii, Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus rhamnosus ?
I have a "very important variation" for DAO, NOS3, COMT, MAOA.
tried methylene blue that inhibits NO production
and antihistamine probiotics?
Longum, plantarum, breve and something fourth maybe acidophilus
also if I have bad sleep and headache coffee totally intensifies it
I was taking SH DAO and another brand of a histamine block (as per my functional med dr) and avoiding high histamine foods and i was still having regular migraines.
Even without a gallbladder, this should be helpful for him. www.seekinghealth.com/products/gallbladder-nutrients-caps-60-servings
i rarely have headaches
but in days I wake up after bad sleep with a bit headache coffee multiplies it for sure
I need to consider dropping coffee to see it it makes difference in context of histamine reactions
it's well under control but colour of fingers
indicates it's never fully fixed
I'm also gonna try methylene blue soon
to check if it fixes apnea
after loosing weight I'm not breathing as slow calmly and improved focus came with too active thoughts
i tend to feel better when I start breathing consciously slowing breaths as if supplying more oxygen then and things start recovering soon
the same, the day after drinking alcohol
I just need to lay down and breathe through to recovery not eating a thing, maybe drinking lemon juice only
fasting for recovery, weird cause I don't know anybody doing the same
This is purely anecdotal, based on my own experience ; but coffee does trigger migraines and sometimes big hives, for me.
this is amazing, thank you so much!
You're so welcome!
Histamine Block is now called Histamine Nutrients
Wheat, rye and barley have a particular sticky protein that Celiacs can not digest.
What about headaches and migraines that are pre menstrual? Always the few days before it starts. I’ve never ever been able to connect my headaches or migraines to any food or drink. Any thoughts for this type of thing? Thanks
Also my son who is 10 gets migraines too, again no food trigger we can work out!
Have you tried magnesium glycinate? 600mg is what has worked wonders for me. Good for kids too. Magnesium can help with prostaglandins (among other things).
Migraine sufferers tend to be lower in magnesium.
B2 and/or CoQ10 are other supplements to look in to.
Hi Lara - This is a pretty good article on the subject - www.healthline.com/health/headache-before-period#causes
Do NOT force duration in a sauna - ever.
i had a strong headache when flying but only in one specific plane, but I don't risk flying since going back that time
i would never in my wild imagination link it
with histamine 🤯
I have migraine now. I had a MCAS flare and got a stabbing HA over my right eye. Feels like my brain is swollen
Got lacose free milk, much more tolerated. Organic porridge oats.
Many thanks
Did you try it ?
Migraine is the disease. Headache is the symptom. You’ve never gotten a “migraine” because you don’t have migraine. Thanks for this info on histamine tho!
I'm so glad I found this. You are describing me to a T!
I am post menopausal will low levels of estrogen and I broke out in hives, histamine overflow
Also, histamine reaction symptoms mimic adhd symptoms. When my adhd symptoms increase it’s really my histamines…
Can you do a video on kids and histamine/sugar? Red flushed face during/after sports?
Red face during/ after sports is high histamine. Consider Histamine Block Plus 1 capsule right before exercise and possibly after if the red face is there. Here's a video on histamine intolerance - ruclips.net/video/SIB_wzBSeHY/видео.html
One to two ? I take 6 ! BOOM ! 😂 Thank u doc.
Can you make a video on blushing? It’s extremely annoying and happens worse leading up to period. It happens when I have normal conversations then it makes me embarrassed because people point it out. There was a time when it didn’t happen for a few years but it’s back. Is it a physical issue? What can be done?
Pretty sure he mentions this briefly in this video, but yes, it is related to histamine.
ruclips.net/user/liveSIB_wzBSeHY?feature=share
I don't eat any foods known to cause high histamine and I don't drink etc. But I have mega migraine with hormones. I'm trying to work the estrogen dominance out. Are there particular genes implicated?
a number of them - COMT is a big one - but I'd also look into supporting your estrogen levels with DIM + I3C. Learn more about it here - www.seekinghealth.com/products/dim-i3c-60-capsules
Is it possible that when I consume gluten I don't always get a headache, but just feel awful?
yes - it's always dependent on other factors.
No fun 😞
maybe because of hypoxia and lower oxygen supply to tissues
what is somehow related with Nitric Oxide
exercise also activates mTor
while methylene blue which inhibits NO production downregulates mTor
which activates inflammation
and thanks to this our muscles grow
giving signal to fix the inflamed area
so maybe something related with these things
do you drink coffee if it worsen headaches like for me?
btw im researching hairloss mechanisms
it's also from inflammation because of tight scalp depriving head skin from blood and nutrition to cells and also from chemicals killing all good natural bacteria on head
but what's interesting it was discovered
things that were supposed to cause inflammation that all antihairloss medicines wanted to block in reality accompany inflammation to fix it
and they worsened hairloss trying to fight good inflammation that repaired stuff
My DAO is slow😢
@Dr Ben, Ive had headaches since a child daily & now @ 60 years . I've been told I have 50% blood flow on Right Neck Artery. Would love a headache free day
1000's of years of Wheat & milk and now Allergies? Hmm, GMO's & ANTIBODIES
sorry to hear this.
Do you have a good sense of direction too?
sounds like a superpower
does it make difference what direction you lay body to when sleeping?
do you feel worse in city vs less dense places?
