In 2015 I camped alone on the Table under a full Moon. One of the weirdest nights camping ever. the Moonlight caused the rock shadows to shimmy and it appeared as if the rocks were moving. It messes with your mind. 🙂 An old Victorian saying about the Quairaing goes as follows. '' The terrors that normally walk by night, walk here by day''.

My (now) wife and our 4 year old lad have just returned from 10 days in Skye. What a place!! We actually went to the Quirang last year when we first went to Skye. I continued the walk and reached the summit, the views are amazing as you so rightly say! We fell in love with Skye so much last year that when we went back this year, we got married on the Sligachan bridge. With a backdrop of the Sligachan Glen and the red cuillin on one side and the black on the other, couldn't be better!! Your videos are fantastic and I have found them really interesting and enjoyable to watch. All the best and keep them coming!
    Cheers

The flock of birds were Golden plover. They breed in large numbers in Iceland, and in lower numbers, in the Scottish mountains. In the non-breeding season, they often still hang out in upland areas, but at lower elevations than where they breed. Also common on farmland nearer the coast.

As an almost life long fan of Tolkien's books, I appreciate your reference, although Mordor doesn't have the green of Scotland. However, that cleft you went into could have been the one where Frodo was attacked by Shelob. I've been to Scotland once and thought to visit Skye on my next trip, but I didn't think I'll be doing that walk after seeing the elevation. Your remark about getting your dog up there, made me laugh. I've been following your adventures for awhile but I don't think I've ever seen such astonishing landscape.
