I like number 5 the best, the leading lines in the foreground leads you up to the small waterfall and the waterfall leads you up to the mountain in the background. And then you have the interesting rocks on both sides to balance the image and to create more atmosphere.
Nr 6!! fantastic photos. inspiring ;)
Wow, great footage!
the foreground in 4 is simply outstanding.
Thanks a lot :)
Three is my favorite. I really love the lighting and enjoy your tip on breaking the horizon to help the composition of the photo. I really like how you present the vlog and show where things are and tips on what to do when you get there! Keep up the great work Herr Iversen!
No 1, caught my 1st salmon on that river. Wonderful memories and thank you for the heart bump and smile.
for me 4 and 5. super awesome photos mate!!
Love them all
Mads, I love the first shot shown in the video with the person standing at left. There’s an ethereal, atmospheric feel to the photo that is really accentuated by the light glow in the clouds.
love all of your pictures, especially #4 is stunning! Having a person in the picture making it even more special.
Amazing, thanks
Love them all.
Beautiful! You are so talented.
Number 5 for me. The portrait format works really well gives more depth to the image, with good lead in lines,to take you right into the image. A lot of people would never even have thought of taken any image on a day like this, but its weather like this that can make the picture. This is skye at its best. Beautiful image in my book.
Superb! Fabulous photos of the fairy pools
Hi Mads #4 for me. Loving your videos, thanks for sharing!
Really love this series of videos. I found you from your Faroe series and have been enjoying the Scottish set. It's nice to see a different perspective on some very well known locations. The last time I was on Skye I gave the Fairy Pools a miss due to the large numbers of people (despite finding a parking spot) and the crowds at Neist bring back memories!! Thanks for putting together such a fantastic series of videos.
Congrats!!!!
Breathtaking views!!!
Excellent work!!!
Fantastic photography
5 is the best 😁 Thank you for a nice film.
Breathtaking! Wow!
Thanks a lot Biff! :)
Just got back from a 16 day trip of Scotland. I absolutely fell in love with the Isle of Skye. Just love your pictures they are amazing
GREAT. Tx sm
After 2 years this is still one of my favorite videos of yours. I love the final image and how moody it is. Kind of similar to the kind of photography that I do and love. Can’t wait till you’re able to get out again and do more videos 👍🏻
#4 breathtaking
Number 6, love it. You are a great photographer and guide to follow
Number 6! Beautiful drama! I love the short long-shuttertimes
No 4 is outstanding!
Another great video Mads! I especially like the number 5 because of the leading line in the water in the foreground. Thanks for sharing!
For me it’s 5. I love to shoot landscape in portrait. You capture much more foreground leading the eye into the picture.
A great vlog . Image no. 4 for me. The drama of the falls in the foreground, the silhouette for scale in mid , and the mountain with the gorgeous light in the background.
Thank you so very much Michael :)
5 is my fav, I am dying to have my holidays to visit the place. Great video. Thanks!
Number 3 for me: I just absolutely love the sense of isolation and the way the eye is drawn to the lighthouse; sitting alone at its sentinel post.
Thanks a lot, Sam! :)
Superb video. I love all the shots.
Thanks a lot Mark!
Another great video. Thanks a lot for all of your hard work in making this videos.
Tahnk you Frank! Again I very much appreciate people like my work :)
I enjoyed watching your vlog, stunning scenary. The pictures I prefer are 5 and 6. I like the compositions and colors.
#1 and #5. I love the perfect water capture.. not too much, not too little and it feeds the composition so well. Stunning series this
Number 5 for me. Fantastic , I love the foreground leading up to the peak
Great vlog no 5 is my favourite keep up the good work
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Steve :)
I love all of them, but in particular I love #4 because of the way the creek water leads you into the waterfall. Great job Mads.
Epic as always! Looking forward to the next
Next will be even more epic! ;)
Mads Peter Iversen I don't doubt it one bit. I'm disappointed you bypassed Northumberland though. You missed the best part :-)
Excellent, as ever.
Thanks a lot! :)
Gobsmackingly stunning ---- Again! :-)
Haha! I like that word ;)
Excellent vlog and images again mate. Fantastic!
Image number five for myself because of the movement in the water and the "drama" of the sky and mountain.
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Rob :)
Number 5 is a clear standout. So many layers, so much depth, so much mystery. Great work Mads.
Thanks again for the information and inspiration. I like #4 most because it stands out as something special among all the thousands of fairy pool pictures out there. Not an obvious composition, but a great one. Would be interesting to learn what you did with it in PS or LR afterwards.
I love #6
Number 4 mads, amazing!
Thanks a lot, Bernard! :)
Hi Mads, I was on a photo trip to Skye at the beggining of December 2019. I know its 2 years since you published this video and I did watch it a couple of times for inspiration prior to going. The image I think is my favourite is number 5. The leading lines are superb drawing me in to the waterfall then up to the mountain. It was an image I had hoped to get for myself. Sadly there had been a vast amount of rain and it was impossible to get in to the position required for that shot. Ill have to return and try again. Thanks for the many inspiring videos. Your expertise and delivery of the art of photography is fantastic.
Spectacular images ....
Thanks a lot Ishak :)
Best for me is #4 because of he texture of the water in the foreground and the perspective of the person standing mid-way. Your photography is great and your set up explanations are the best. Thank you Mads.
I like no 4 the best.... I like the drama, the scale and the colour of the sky. No. 2 is a close second, I love the perspective, the textures and the golden glow.
Glad you managed to get to Skye and survived the midges, Mads - All photos totally captured the drama of 'The Fairy Pools' but 4 is my personal favourite.
Going to skye island in couple of months, this video is very useful. Thank you.
Man I love the mood and drama you capture in your images!
I'd say #4 was my fav, The light and foreground are epic, plus I love that you added a human element to the image.
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Damian :)
I love picture No 4 , great movement in the water. Amazing light around the mountain and the girl, at the perfect position!! Great work!!!
Thanks a lot again :)
Number 2 for me. I love sunsets!
Wow! Mads, I love your videos and photography so much. I've been to scotland this year in july and we've been to every single location, that you've shown in the video. Thank you so much for all the upcomming momories while seeing this. And by the way: Nr. 4 is my favourite in this series.
I'm very happy you enjoyed rewatching the locations :) Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts :)
number 5 for me. love the way the mood draws you in but then gets you to pause mid stream and reflect about life at the same time before continuing to the top of the mountain
Great stuff, Mads! #5 is my favorite of these images. Here's why: I love the restrained and moody colors and atmosphere; I like the strong leading lines and s-curve formed by the water around the bank in the foreground that brings your eye to the waterfall; there's pleasing texture in the water; finally the mountain has almost a reflection of itself in the triangular shape formed by darker clouds at the top which completes the picture (I presume you accentuated this in post). It feels very balanced. Btw I love that you went to these famous locations and still always try for original work. Your stuff is always very inspiring and gives me lots of ideas for future trips!
Thank you for your thoughts Jon! Every single pixel (almost) is controlled in post. I kinda like to make it a challenge to get away with something fairly original from famous locations :)
I really love number 5. The composition is perfect with matching light in the sky and waters! Truly inspiring as we will visit Skye in August. Thanks for your hard work.
love your videos ,for me no.5 beautiful image with fantastic leading lines, keep them coming Mads cheers
Thank you for your thoughts Jimmy! :)
Great video, I like number 5 because of the leading lines ❤️
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Nicklas :)
Lovely place and great pictures Mads! My favourite is number 3, I just love the colours you got in the sky and water.
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Daniel :)
all images are excellent ,I like 6 the best thanks mads
Thank you so very much :)
Love the light in #3 & #4 and the way the eye is drawn into the photos in #5 & #6. Beautiful!
Thanks a lot and thank you for your thoughts Nina :)
Great job! Love the way that you so unselfishly shared logistic details (albeit highly touristy spots) of locations where you shot. Addition of maps is very helpful. Beyond that, your "seek composition beyond the masses" attitude inspires many, myself included. I love all 6 images, but #4 stands out for me. By adding the lady in the photo added scale and dimension. Foreground details of the textured water flow work so perfectly with the triangular shape of the far away mountain. Simply perfection only MPI can muster! Thanks for sharing (man, those bugs were terrible!).
3, 5 & 6 are my favourites. Another great video
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts :)
Just come across this video as I am looking for ideas for when I go to Scotland, all your shots are amazing number 5 is my favourite
Thanx for the awesome video Mads. I really think all Your shots was great but nr 4 speaks the most to me. Love it Moody :-) Keep up the great work.
Greatings from Norway.
Thank you for your thoughts Bente! :)
Another epic video, great stuff. My favourite is picture 4, my eyes were constantly drawn to this image. Happy Christmas Mads.
Thank you so very much Carl! :)
Stunning video and images Mads! Personally, I like #3. I have a thing about lighthouses on top of cliffs, and I like the color in that one better.
Thank you for your thoughts Tony :)
4 puis 6 pour moi. Exceptionnelles. Bravo
Number 4 is my favourite. I love that you filled the frame in the way you did leading to the point of interest. The water streaks are perfect and it is just so beautifully balanced. It was hard to pick one as they are all really fabulous pics. I have watched this series before and ending up going to the Isle of Skye and hiking/photographing it, and watching this again makes me want to do it all over again. I just love Scotland
WOW ...another great video Mads no 5 and no6 are my favourites they are both epic and the composition is fantastic ..i just love that dark mood and the way the water flows to the corners of the image ...SPECTACULAR
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Tam :)
No 4 is by far the best. Super great depth, dramatic clouds, nice water flow.
Thank you for your thoughts Jens! :)
4 & 5 are stunning. such a superb use of the light in a vertical format.
no 5 is epic!
Yet another stunning video...! My memories of Skye are rain, so I like image number 5 for that reason! Great series this one, looking forward to what you do next after Britain.
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Mark :)
Your videos deserve more views, keep up the good work
Thanks a lot! I just don't know how to promote them more than I do...
The 6 is absolutly amazing.
Another brilliant video ! It’s always a shame when they end haha. 4 and 5 are brilliant !! I love the way the water guides you up through the photos .Having the person in 4 gives the shot something extra which I really like. Great work
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Matt :)
Fantastic work again Mads. No 4 for me, just love the way the foreground just pours off the image
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Jamie!
superb video and images Mads, thanks. I would pick 4 - at times I think placing a person in the image works very well, and that is what draws me in. the lighthouse shots are beautiful
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts David :)
Fantastic - It's got to be 5 or 6 for me. The mood and atmosphere in the image is just magical. Thoroughly enjoyed the video and it's very fitting as I'm planning my first trip to Skye for April/May.
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Jason! Good luck :)
4/5 stunning wide angle shots
seems like in September those horrible bugs would be gone but as a gardener in the Deep South US I have invested not only in nets for the head but also for whole body LOL...plus making my own herbal bug spray to take along ...Im loving your recommendations and cant wait to visit this surreal landscape in the coming year...even in September it seems to be quite nippy there and finding the perfect time to go has proven to be challenging .any recommendations would be greatly appreciated ..rubber boots are also on this list ...loving the drone addiction to your video...as well as crazy textures in those water images !!! My personal fave the number three image ..colors...composition ....location and expanse ....you have me excited about my trip there...stay blessed and thank you for sharing the top of my bucket list!!!
5 has it all, the rest are just superb, exellent work Mads.
Thank you so very much Alex :)
Oh Mads you have done it again. Great segment. Loved all the pool shots but 4 was the best for me. The eye just leads you up to the mountain.
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Tom! So much appreciated :)
I love #4. So athmospheric, and that foreground.. #5 same reasons and the sense of depth because of the waterfall.
Fantastic photgraphs. You have some skill. 5 for me. It combines the brooding mountain with the power of the water and so much interest.
#5 for me, because it is the location for a shot I have in my head that I want to take. Have been to the Fairy Pools many times in the past few years and it is a stunning location (but bloody busy).
This video was one of your bests. I appreciate that. I like 3 and 4.
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Ramin :)
No5 for me Mads, great foreground lead in and overall atmoshere of the shot is superb.I've been to the pools a few times and always struggled to get a shot i'm happy with. You nailed it.
2 and 4 are amazing, but all pictures are great Mads, congratulations
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Ricardo :)
Awesome video Mads, you absolutely nailed the whole Isle of Skye drama and feeling. I can't decide between 5 and 6 because they are both iconic dramatic Skye shots. Looking forward to part 2.
Thank you for your thoughts and compliments! :)
i am torn between 2 and 6, and in the end i'll go with 2 because i love the color in it, and the light playing on the cliff walls, and the fact that you didn't strictly follow a rule of thirds recipe. but i'll give a nod to 6 as well because of the great mood and atmosphere of it and i'm in love with water falls. great shots sir.
Another awesome video Mads. I think number 5 is my favourite. I love the portrait view and the way the image has so much depth. We visited the pools a few years ago but I never managed to find that location. You have now made me want to re visit. Please keep making these great informative videos.
Thanks a lot and thank you for the thoughts Richard :)
Your photography is beautiful 😍
I visited the same place in 2018 and 2019
Another great video Mads! Impressed by the constant high quality thorugh the series! I really like the depth and composition of image nr 5, if I where to choose only one :)
Thank you for your thoughts and continuing support Hans! :D
