- In this show we count down the Top Ten Views on Skye as we take you on a scenic journey around the island. The Isle of Skye attracts visitors from all over the world who come to see the amazing scenery that exists on this small island off the west coast of Scotland. We look at new views of classic locations such as the Old Man of Storr, The Quiraing and Elgol, but we also showcase some lesser known, but no less impressive views in other locations. From the very northern tip of the island to the heart of the Cuillin mountains, join us as we count down what we believe are the Top Ten Views on the Isle of Skye.

If you're planning a trip to Skye and have an interest in the outdoor attractions and views, then this is by far the best introduction. We based our four day trip around this and really couldn't have had a better guide. There's enough here to tempt us back for a second visit sometime, and the two absolute highlights were the views of the Old Man of Storr (viewed from the much-quieter higher vantage point, -as recommended) and the ferry trip across from Elgol to Loch Coruisk and the tiring-but-definitely-worth-it climb up Sgurr na Stri. Watch this several times, base your trip around it and you won't be disappointed.

Every month Ive been following your channel and loving the "Best Views" feature. As the months went by I kept saying to myself , I hope they make a special covering the whole top 10. Wonderful, thanks for that, I thought I knew Skye pretty well, but I learned a lot from this.We had a week's holiday in the old coastguard cottages at Duntulm, and explored Rubha Hunish a couple of times. Sadly it rained most of the week, but your video proves that we need to give it another go. So much about visiting these popular areas is about finding a shot that hasn't already been done to death, which is why I always tend towards the lesser known corners. Thanks again, and well done for avoiding the Fairy Pools, which are being destroyed by too many visitors...
It's already my second time viewing this special issue, and this time I had to share it with my son. We spent our time going from "WOW !!!" to "NOOOO ?" then "HO !".
You managed to hook us from the very start, and no letting go until the very last image. You all are a hell of a bunch of talented and passionate pros who do it seriously without taking it seriously...

Elgol and Coruisk beat the rest hands down - the Black Cuillin is dramatic, picturesque and there's nothing like it in the UK. Nice film :)

Wow, Wow, Wow, there was me thinking that I had seen every part of Skye! Not so after watching your blog! Mind you - I am a pensioner now and I would find it hard to find those view points for sure! I was a bit shocked to hear some of the pronunciation's I heard from you Scottish folk! After and during watching your blog - It makes one so proud knowing that I am part of Scotland, I am a proud Scotsman and knowing that Scotland is the best country to live in! It has it's history like no other!

Im 57 live on dartmoor devon & been doing landscape photography in the south west england for many years. My one wish before anything happens to me is to visit the old man of storr to see with my eyes, hopefully in 2021 i can drive to scotland to see this for my eyes ! i have been diagnosed with Hepatitis C which on & off for the last few years seem to be getting worse with levels 4 times the normal amount. Your videos give me the strength to keep going & look forward to seeing these views thankyou :)

I am hoping to head up to Skye late Spring into early Summer by motorcycle. I would be leaving my bike for periods of time at the various car parks. I hope theft is not such an issue on the island

Most places north of the central belt are like being on another planet. Scotland is very lucky to have all types of weather, four seasons in one day. If it didn't have the weather to protect it, if it was always sunny and hot it would ruin the beauty of it and probably be packed full of theme parks and rollercoasters. Scotland is the cheeky and beautiful daughter of Britain. The Hebrides blow anywhere else in the UK out of the water really. Like most places that are magical, they should be left alone from developments and and encroachments, leave the beautiful little girl alone ( not you guys) i just mean if they started building nonsense buildings and attractions then she would morph into 100 cities. Great work and protect this awesome piece of 3 billion year old Geology. Great work though !!! keep it up !
I recently used the Bioda Buidhe & Old Man of Storr viewpoints from this video with great success. Along with the PDF guide, it made my short trip to Skye really productive photographically. At Storr it was a bit of wicked fun to have that position and view to myself while looking down on other photographers who went no further than ‘photographers mound’ !

Talisker Bay appears in our Photographer's Guide to Skye, but it isn't really a view a such - more of a destination, so it wasn't really worthy of this countdown. As you say though, it's a great place. Thanks for watching our show.
