Awesome video Murray, can't believe it has taken me so long to find it! I also always say "hi" to the Rannoch Rowan, and got my kids saying it too. I've often wondered about stopping to wander up a nearby hill to get those views across the Moor, instead of speeding onwards to Glencoe and beyond. Now as I get older and have done most things in Glencoe, and got more unfit and generally decrepit, I might actually do it one day, so thanks for that :)

    Brilliant video.
Since I was a baby, me and my Mum, Dad and sister passed that tree growing out the rock. My Mum and Dad had been doing it for years before we arrived too, and while.you say "Hello to Mr Rowan", we always had a conversation about "I wonder if that tree has split the rock yet?".

I saw all the water and thought Rannoch Moor.
Last time I went it was going dark and getting misty so I got a move on while I could still see, just in case the weather turned bad. I didn't want to be up there in the dark and mist on a motorbike.

Another fabulous video and I will remember to wave to Mr Rowan in the future. Is that the hill with a monument? I started watching your videos 10 months ago. I had developed serious Asthma which had affected my fitness and scarred my lungs, leaving me in intensive care. Watching your videos whilst on my rowing machine, slowly trying to gain my fitness, your videos spurred me on to get back on a hill. I have now done Ben An and Beinn A' Bhragaidh whilst up in Tain; Hughs as a starter and then conquered Ben Ledi last weekend, (a test) sore lungs and hips but well happy. Thank you for being inspiring. I need some poles though and have just bought new boots (fed up slipping on my backside)!!! My new weekend hobby has returned :-)

Hi Andrew - with the right sleeping bag it was perfect for this weather, would not use it in the winter though as I use my exped 9 for the colder camps :)

They aren’t a thing around here, so I don’t know, but, do you get a break from the midges when the season changes?

Hi Erin - absolutely - they start to die off from October and slowly start emerging from April but usually not at their worst until summer time :)

So you're allowed to just walk about? Where I am ( northeast England) every inch of the land is owned by someone, and has a fence around it.

Murray could I ask how you spell pamethrain the tick repellent you use ? And 😊are you joking when you say it makes you out of breath ? I know you have a divil of a sense of humour you see, so I’m not sure if that’s one of the temporary side effects or not ? I will understand if your too busy to reply, and then I will stop being lazy and do my own research 😂 old owl 🦉 Alaya

Hi Alaya - the spelling is Permethrin (I think 👍) - I have not had one tick since using it - can’t recommend it enough 👍
