This man deserves so many more subscribers. It's rare one of these UK outdoor/camping channels actually focuses on the geography and the nature as opposed to their gear loadout. I wanna see mountains and lakes, not a man eating his meal inside a tent. Keep doing what you're doing, personally i find it inspirational in a sense, really makes me wanna get out in the highlands.
Thanks for your nice comments Timothy, I suppose everyone has their own tastes and likes and some will enjoy other styles of videos :) Glad you enjoy the way I get mine done and appreciate your nice comment and taking time to watch the videos - its very much appreciated Thanks for watching ATB Murray
I agree, completely. Murray got an award from Trail magazine bit back. I think it was for best independent outdoor film maker or something like that. His entire back catalogue of vids right back to when his channel was called steaming boots is fantastic. Best of it is the high standard of film making has been consistent right from the first film. Should be on netflix or the BBC far as our family are concerned it's a crackerjack gem of a library of films😊
Hi Murray as always really enjoyed your video they are so well edited with very fitting music, for a short time they let you forget what awful things are going on in the world. Keep up the excellent work and stay safe👍
This has to be the most under rated channel on RUclips. I dont understand how you dont have millions of subscribers. What youre doing is incredible, not only are you motivating people to explore the great outdoors but youre giving people unable or incapable to get out to great places the opportunity to experience them in these fantastic videos you compose.

Thank you once again for your time and effort in sharing your adventures😊👊👍

Really good footage of Beinn Eighe. Lot of memories. Camped at the foot of the mountain. Traveled by motorcycle and both bikes got blown over through the night. Came back at a later date to climb this classic mountain. Such good photography. Thank you once again.

Being a big fan of the Scottish mountains it's weird that I don't like this mountain. Alligin is much of my taste and we will tackle it in June. See you there!
Superb Murray. Torridon is currently my fav part of Scotland. As always thanks for all the effort and time u put into the filming/editing. I've been trying to find out the name of the tune @15mins?
Brilliant adventure Murray....absolutely stunning views! It's an area of Scotland I've always want to walk. Shame about the weather the next morning! :-)

You do go to a lot of trouble to film and we appreciate the thought that goes into making it enjoyable for us. Very happy you made it safe down before the bad weather really hit. God bless until we meet again next week.
Murray in the mountains, expansive views, a herd of deer and beautiful soft dawn and dusk colours- who could ask for more? All your usual photographic skill and great commentary. Loved it, thank you ❤ Ps. Have just seen scientific report on CNN news about earthquake lights which might be of interest after your experience when camping with R S in Glencoe. The hanks again.🏴👍😀⛰️

Thanks Murray What beautiful mountains, your pretty brave camping that high with poor forecast for following day. I think I recall your camp on Alligan, and the Arora. Not sure with the spelling. Thanks again
The Camp on Beinn Alligin was a special one - I won’t forget it any time soon :) however all of Torridon is amazing - can’t wait to go back :) Thanks for watching

Absolutely stunning. Really enjoyed this one. What a body of work you are creating! Did you ever consider making a website with a clickable map linking to your videos? ATB
I've only been to Torridon once (in a hurry, no high walks) and I don't know if I'll ever be able to get back, but it's my favorite place in the world, partly thanks to you Murray and a few other top-notch videographers. Thanks as always for another gem.
Beinn Eighe is one of the few mountain ranges I can recognise on sight. Doing the CWT it looked terrifying the first time. On my second visit I took the harder route round the western side and one of my best memories of the trip.
Have you seen there is an electronic midge repellant, it fits onto you and dreates a barrier the midges dont cross, i saw it on Roaming Radfords, 😅beautifil scenery this time thanks
This may make an appearance in an upcoming video (only the lamp tho) tried the repellant side of the device at the weekend when away Ona family trip in the van 🚐
Been such a busy cpl of weeks for me with moving house but finally ,time to sit and enjoy murray on the mountains during lunch at work , worth the wait 😊 cheers man ✅️
Your cinematography expertise shows no sign of slowing down. Fantastic. Edit: and the views on this remind me of one of my best ever days in the mountains in identical weather. Sigh, need to get up there again.
Superb Murray, really excellent stuff. An area I’ve only managed to visit once many moons ago. Unfortunately the weather then was diabolical, so didn’t get out much. Always thought I’d be back, but for whatever reason it never happened (yet)! Thanks for bringing us along. All the best lad.
Nice one Murray, i enjoyed that. I'd love to live close enough to Scotland to be able to just head out for an evening then get up and go home. Hoping to get back up there at the end of the month fingers crossed. Great video, take care. ATB Andy
I’ve been watching your old videos and only gave each of them the thumbs up as I mainly watch on my tv. I work away in Baghdad for 4 months at a time and home for a month. Your videos are very professionally done so well done you. I’d love to start walking like you do but don’t have the information you seem to have before you set off. Any tips on how I would research for them please pal? I’d be heading off from Kinghorn, Fife.
Thanks Matthew - in terms of research I would recommend Walkhighlands website - such an amazing resource 👍👍 good luck - or maybe join a local hiking club and get info and experience from such clubs if that’s your thing - think there is a clubs link on Walkhighlands too 👍👍
Lovely views in this. You found a great spot to camp. I was camping recently up there too, but it was further east in a much more soggy and marginal patch, but in the morning I made my way over to the lovely big grassy patch on Coinneach Mhor to use as a superb paraglider takeoff point (I just put up a video of it here: ruclips.net/video/WDPY08saOjs/видео.html). There's a good water source there too I noted for future reference at the source of a little burn.
Would you agree, Murray, that deer are much more tolerant of human presence than they used to be. Probably due to far more people on the hill these days. Lovely video as usual. Was on Choinnich Mhor 20 years ago with my collie and watched a stoat hopping about near the aircraft remains. Unusual.
This was amazing Murray, it was nice to see you on another summit camp, long overdue 😂. Yeah my mate doing Liatach recently and found it interesting, I've yet to go up to this area but I'm sure I will in due course once I've ticked the southerly munros. ATB mate and look forward to seeing what's in store next week.

Thanks Murray What beautiful mountains, your pretty brave camping that high with poor forecast for following day. I think I recall your camp on Alligan, and the Arora. Not sure with the spelling. Thanks again
The Camp on Beinn Alligin was a special one - I won’t forget it any time soon :) however all of Torridon is amazing - can’t wait to go back :)

Brilliant video as always Murray. Scenery stunning and loved to see the deer roaming near you. Brings back memories . Hope you enjoyed your whiskey . Video's always so informative. Look forward to the next one. ATB Murray and thankyou.
Thanks Julie - the deer 🦌 were great and not really that bothered by my presence - they were so chilled 😎
Absolutely stunning. Really enjoyed this one. What a body of work you are creating! Did you ever consider making a website with a clickable map linking to your videos? ATB
Not yet, maybe in the future - find it hard enough to keep up with the weekly video TBH

I've only been to Torridon once (in a hurry, no high walks) and I don't know if I'll ever be able to get back, but it's my favorite place in the world, partly thanks to you Murray and a few other top-notch videographers. Thanks as always for another gem.
It a great place for walking , low or high - hope you get back their at some point:)

Great video. That looks suspiciously like the conditions I had on beinn a chearcaill. Was this end of July? I woke up in the cloud 😅
It certainly was - a nice evening followed by incoming weather the next day !
Your cinematography expertise shows no sign of slowing down. Fantastic.
Edit: and the views on this remind me of one of my best ever days in the mountains in identical weather. Sigh, need to get up there again.
Thanks Philip - hope you get back out to the mountains soon 🤞👍
Pyrethroids (eg Smidge) also DEE can make your lips numb. Better to keep these chemicals away from your mouth and nose (and other mucous membranes).
DEET!
Thanks Matthew - in terms of research I would recommend Walkhighlands website - such an amazing resource 👍👍 good luck - or maybe join a local hiking club and get info and experience from such clubs if that’s your thing - think there is a clubs link on Walkhighlands too 👍👍
Thanks for the info Murray 👍
Hi, hopefully you have a mountain to climb on Saturday at 12.30.
So jealous of you ,with that view.
Great UP and ATB
great views!
Thanks again for another great vidio 🥳. We both really enjoy these walks. Keep them coming!! 😂
Looks a fantastic place!!
A fantastic video thanks Murray. Such amazing scenery. You looked like you were on top of the world.
That looked Amazing!! I would love to be able to paraglide - the perfect way to get off the mountain ! Great video
Thanks very much 🙂
Stunning. I love the Torridon mountains. We usually take a trip to Applecross when we visit family in Invergorden 😀
