Very much appreciate you taking the time and trouble to spin us around. Sound like you need a wee break from lugging us along with you. Big thank you from me.
Murray, it's hard to say if that is the best camping spot I've seen you pitch at, but it's right up there for sure! As for taking a break, I don't think anyone would blame you for missing a week. Honestly, I don't know how you've managed to do it so constantly for as long as you have. 🙂
I always let your adverts run Murray, the only RUclipsr I do actually. You’ve given us so much over the years, hiking, backpacking and the odd climbing video dream (for me) it’s the least we can do 👍
We always watch your videos. You shouldn't be under any pressure to produce content on a weekly basis unless that is what you want to do. You always bring to the small screen a breath of fresh air which we appreciate. Thankyou.

A well deserved one at that. Stay safe and see you soon on another adventure M ☘️
Evening Murray, I've long classed both The Cobbler and Suilven as my two favourite mountains. However, I took a wee dauner up Ben Donich a few months back and I have to agree, the views from these mountains on the West side of the Arrochar Alps can leave you speechless, the panorama is superb. Again it's so true, the Corbetts often punch harder than their bigger neighbours. I've watched your video's for a fair wee while now, and must admit look forward to them, I appreciate the time and effort must be very difficult. Kudos to yourself (and Gerry) for the vids.
It is a fantastic viewpoint to the rest of the Arrochar Alps for sure and good bang for buck ration too as most start from the road side and dont involve too much accent:) a fabulous area Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Hi Murray always so thankfuk for all you do for us, and we understand you have a family and other interests, so thank you for all you do, take care another great video xxxxxx
It's always amazed me how you manage to regularly put out so much quality content between work/family commitments Murray. I don't know how on earth you do it and doubt very much if anyone would blame you for taking your foot off the throttle slightly. There's an old motor sport saying 'Ease off to go faster'... Maybe that's just what you need. All the very best.
Always enjoy your camping videos. Always good listening to you when you’re talking to the camera. I’ve only visited Arrochar once but the Corbetts there seem to be excellent for camping👍 I always have respect for people who have an upload schedule. Summer can be a busy time so credit to you for getting a video out every Wednesday even though you’re busy with your personal life too. ATB Gaz
Glad you've converted to the sun hoodie. I've been wearing them for a couple of years now and am also a middle aged bloke. I go further and wear sun gloves and trousers; I burn easily so all are a god send. Thanks for uploading, Murray.

Absolutely perfect views. Probably my favorite out of every hike you've done in the area. Thank you, thank you, thank you Murray. Cannot wait to get back to these brilliant mountains next July!!!❤❤❤
That was a lovely shot of you sat looking out to the Cobbler and over to Ben Lomond in the morning... Lovely colours. Bonus having it to yourself too.. The weather hasn't been too kind since Murray... Lovely viewpoint.... 😎
Thanks Jim , I am sure you know the hill well, being in your back garden - concur that I was starting to get used to that lovely dry weather - back to normal now!!lol Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray

Wow that summit was certainly worth a camp! Thank you again for your efforts giving us top quality content every week, and to add my voice to all the others here, don't feel like you have to post if you are as you said busy with life, your loyal subscribers and regular viewers will be patient! On another note I am heading over the water from Ireland on this Saturday to feed the Skye midges for a week! I've been to Scotland many times, but never for walking, so I'm really excited at the opportunity. All the best to you.
Thank you - very much appreciated Hope you have a wonderful time in Skye, myself and Gerry had a trip up there last week and cant wait to share the videos with everyone - such a special place, hope the weather gods are smiling for your trip Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Certainly not a pitch for someone who sleepwalks! 😳. What a gorgeous spot, Murray. I’m pretty sure I’ve been told before, but do you get a break from the midges in the mornings? It would certainly make that beautiful, still morning much more enjoyable. Those morning views down the trail through the knobby area were especially enjoyable. I think you’re one of the most consistent content creators out there…especially since it’s not your full time job! You go ahead and take care, I’ll watch your videos whenever they come out. Cheers and ATB!
Thanks Erin :) in terms of the midgies, it wasn't too bad in the morning but that was mainly due to the fact that there was a slight breeze - it only need a very slight bit of wind and it keep the biters at bay :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Sometimes life gets busy and appears to be in The way , but it's not really in the way it's merely a turn in the road. Love the late sun sets. It is if you come visit your sister in Australia I don't think you will find many hills high enough to climb, but many walks with lotsa hills and bush. Thanks for the video, sure was glorious scenery.
Wonderful Video Murray got to be one of your best . Thankyou for bringing us this. To wake up to that scenery is beyond belief and if you need to take a well earned break you do it and recharge your batteries as you do so much for us bringing these wonderful adventures. Look after yourself and look forward to watching you again soon. Till then so many wonderful videos to look back on. ATB.
Thanks Julie, I have managed to get my video count up again after a few rather special trips recently, however it was close to the wire for a few weeks for a no show on a wednesday evening - cant wait to share a few of these videos with everyone :)) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
I haven't been able to watch your videos for ages, great to see you again. I work full time now with a 140km commute, plus a small hobby farm to run, and I struggle to have time to watch let alone get out climb a mountain and edit the video. So you are doing great, don't be hard on yourself. I barely have time to edit my stills, have a backlog of months. So you're amazing really.
Thanks Lisa, nice to have you back, sounds like you have been really busy yourself, and sounds like a long commute to work for you. Hope you find time to get the editing done it can be difficult to fit everything in - sometimes I wish there were more hours in the day !lol Thanks for watching ATB Murray

Wow! Certainly did have an alpine feel to this video! Stunning pitch, perched right on the edge of the mountain. And a rock climb up to boot!🤗👌. Great to see you climb again with Mark and Gerry. We do love a Murray camping video, to be honest, you always choose such stunning pitches, it is hard to choose the best, but this is up there👍. We will echo what has been said in a lot of the other comments, your fans and subscribers will still be here if you need to take a short break, it must be extremely difficult keeping up with a weekly upload as well as a full time job, family and a busy life, we don't know how you do it. So don't put pressure on yourself on our behalf👊. Excited to watch your multi day adventure with Gerry when that happens. It is about quality not quantity after all, and yours is some of the best content out there on YT. Thanks as always for taking us along. ATB Pete and Shell
Thanks Folks - very much appreciate that. I have been out a bit more in recent week and with a short annual leave break with work, I was up in Skye with Gerry and got some videos from that trip too. Back to having a buffer zone, so hoping the videos will continue for a while on a Wednesday evening :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Every time I've walked these hills I've not had any views sadly so this video was absolutely fantastic watching with those great views. If anyone deserves a break from making videos it's you Murray as most RUclipsrs just sit in a room and waffle, the time it takes driving to each walking route is time consuming let alone the editing time so thanks for the great videos Murray.
Very nice climb. I’m glad you rested before heading back down. Really great views of climbing at those heights. 🏔 Thanks for sharing. Lynn in Naples FL
Great video again, done this a few weeks ago with my step son. It was his first wild camp he loved it. Camped on that exact same spot , a little bit of a slant but we got a not bad sleep .
I forget how beautiful it is in the Alps with living further north. Must visit soon. Oh and everyone needs a break. It seems along time since you missed a Wednesday vid and we appreciate our Wednesday walking vid night but we'll appreciate them even more after a break if you need one. Life gets busy sometimes, we all understand I'm sure 😊
thank you :) much appreciated - lets see what happens but I have managed to get out a lot recently , might be able to keep the Wednesday evening vids going for a bit longer :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
It must be hard to keep your eye on the track when every few steps reveals another stunning angle. You were on top of the world up there. Absolutely beautiful. Could you maybe put up some of your old treks again, Murray, I mean real oldies. A blast from the past is enjoyable. And would give you a well deserved break.
Thanks Joan - absolutely - the views from this mountain are special, but careful footwork is required in places too !lol Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Hi Paul, I got it a few months ago before setting off on my Aviemore to Perth walk . Does what it says on the tin and seems pretty decent :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Lost for words! The views w😮ere so beautiful. Great to see Gerry and Mark. You all made that crag look easy, but it would have scared me. Murray, if you need a break those of us who love your videos will still be there, just look after yourself. I shall enjoy re- watching past adventures- watched the Abyssinia Bothy again a few days ago , great stuff!❤🏴🥃🏔️😀
Great video as always Murray, wonderful views. Looks a great mountain to climb, must give it a go. Don't fancy your camping pitch though, wouldn't sleep a wink, be frightened of rolling over in the night. 😮
Thank you Murray, Gerry, Mark, absolutely beautiful views of Scotland as always. It is a fine view, one of my favourite of yours along with Loch na Sealga, Love knobbly hills but please don't distend on one 🤣 If you need a rest take one, good for the soul and mind, plenty of lovely vids to rewatch 😁
Brilliant video Murray..Enjoyed the climbing but really enjoyed the amazing views from your pitch..by the way, during your trip to Jura you thought you could see the coast of Northern Ireland. We had a family holiday to the North Coast and on a couple of occasions we could see Islay and the paps of Jura. Many thanks and best wishes
AQI here is Orange with Canadian wildfire smoke, that did not keep me indoors, looked forward to coming home and finding your latest vid, uh oh you gave Gerry a mic not a good idea;-) ATB from the US
Beinn an Lochan and Beinn Donich are regulars for myself as quick up and downs. Both have stunning views as long as the clag doesn't ruin your sunset at the last minute like last Saturday night 😑
Ah, I may have been in the area around the same time. We climbed on The Cobbler a couple of weeks ago and did a bit of sightseeing in the area before heading further north. The midges were terrible but it looks like you had a great time nevertheless!
Braw evening Muzza. I've often fancied a camp up there but couldn't remember if there was pitches or not. I don't know how you get the passes from the missus, I'd have been kicked out by now. 😂 I'd admire your commitment to the weekly vlogs but don't envy you either. So can't blame you if you take a break.
Cheers Robin - TBH you haven't heard me snore so I think the boss might enjoy her sleep when I am not at home!!lol There are a couple of smashing spots just off the summit and lots just beyond and down a little :) Hope you are well ATB Murray
Absolutely lovely. What a beautiful pitch. Did a few mountain days in the A Alps years back off the sleeper. Need to get back for some camps! .... As for vids Murray, your all good. Nobody will complain if there's a gap. You do amazingly considering you work too! I can't even guarantee one a month 😂😂😂. Thanks again.👌
Hi Murray so loved this video. A spot l pass regularly, and make a coffee at the Rest. Looking down on Loch Restil from your camp is wonderful. Ive often wondered what its like up there, now l know. l look forward each week to your videos, but everyone needs a rest sometimes, we will always be here when you find time. I dont think utube does anything for Scotch eggs 😄, but I like to use Kofi on other channels, maybe something to think about. Take care........ Alioban
Another great video, what a magnificent pitch. I agree that this is the best of the Arrochar Alps. It is interesting to come off the back and head for the carpark at the top of the Rest and be Thankful. Easier if you have two cars.
Great video 👏. Did this hill a couple of years ago. Saw not a soul up and down despite it being in the middle of June. Maybe everyone was on the Cobbler 😅?
Hi Stuart, some recommendations - cool conversations. go mountain goats, mountain air, scot rock, the photography pubcast, mountain (old but superb episodes) , outside in podacst, dogger saints ;), photographic connections , uncanny.... Might not all be to everyones taste but just some I have subscribed too :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
@@ScotlandsMountains will definitely get onto some of those - thanks! I reckon a podcast with you & Jerry would be a great listen. All that free time you don’t have 😂 Great video as always, thanks for the content! Stuart
All those midges made me itch! Great views, great video as ever. As others have said, don't sweat about getting out a weekly video. I'd rather have years of occasional treats than a flurry (of Murray 😅) that ends up in you burning out.
Thanks Alasdair, I have managed to get a little buffer zone of videos built back up so hoping there will be no breaks in the Wednesday evening videos lol Got a few holidays planned soon and maybe able to get some video from those too which I am hoping keeps me all good :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
I went for a Can of Coke and Whisky. Don't worry about hoodie as I'm older than you and wear them on the golf course. Carrot oil on the ears when sun is out as I love a wee tan!! 😁😁
Nice one Murray. One, no three of my favourite sequential sounds outdoors: the hiss of butane, the click of a lighter and the roar of a burner! Gorgeous views and atmosphere. Appreciated as always. Thanks.
Murray this was another fantastic wild camp on a summit, missed them! This one has been on my agenda for a while however since we last spoke two weeks ago regarding the Buachaille Etive Mor last weekend saw me heading back to the Trossachs on a wee adventure up Beinn Each with our dog, unfortunately clagged at the summit but had a nice day of solitude which helped. Definitely need to do this one. I think the next Corbett after doing Bidean Nam Bian next week will be Beinn Donich. Thanks again for a wonderful video. ATB
It truly is a magical place...one of many...in Scotland... they all have their own quirks and beauty... having said that the Arrocher Alps are rather special... take your time with the videos go for quality rather than volume...ATB from Perth ‼️
Thank you - very much appreciated - managed to get out lots in last wee while so have a nice buffer zone of videos back up again :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Hi Murray, just watched your latest video and been watching the channel for years and noted you still haven't mastered the knob on your Jetboil! I will share a tip my Grandad gave me when I was just a lad for screws etc. To the right screw tight, to the left screw unscrew. He clearly wasn't a poet, but it works. Enjoyed the video as ever. Regards Ian
Happy Friday Murray, not a big fan of the 3 split screen at the beginning but hey ho. Good to hear about those sun hoodie too, I've seen Rab and ME do a range of them now but never tried or needed them. On another note, your videos are the most entertaining and informative on RUclips, take a break or few weeks off and come back rejuvenated.
This video had quite a bit of activity! Your tent was a bit close to the edge for me..too bad about the rock disturbing your sleep When you see your little tent all by itself surrounded by the hills and mountains, it really shows you really have it all to yourself A nice long summer night and no rain Great video and take care 🇨🇦❤️
Firstly, stunning locstion and video as always . Witn youtube its getting all the balance right . I love being out , love the filming and editing process , and love that people do watch the adventures I share . But I'm not obsessed with numbers or being out on filmable trips . My next one is out tomorrow, triple buttress, that was filmed a fortnight ago ( gratuitous plug I know 😅) As with everything, its all about balancing everything.... Do it in a way you still enjoy doing it. If its becoming a chore , take a pause .
A glorious summer camp! Well done! Truly beautiful! Remember, New Zealand is only a short hope across 'the ditch' from the next time you visit your sister, Murray. Flights can be cheap if you and the family time it right! You know what I'm sayin'! ;-) Apologies for my silence in recent weeks. My lady and I got hit hard with our first dose of Covid. Nearly back up to full speed after a month. Phew!
Hope you are both on the recovery - the first dose is always the worse!! I would love to come and hike the mountains in NZ - they look absolutely awesome - maybe one day :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Hi Murray, wonderful video as always, the shot of the orange moon over the mountains was brilliant. I’ve got a red one of the Rab hoodies, does that mean I’m old and decrepit too or is red more young, hip and trendy than blue? 🤣🤣 All the best mate, cheers Dave 😀⛰🥾🏴
After thought, I forgot to say thanks for the shot of the bluebells. Perhaps you, or someone else can tell me are these the traditional bluebells of Scotland, famed in song, or are those in the song harebells? Thanks and A. T .B.😊
Another great video Murray , re other utubers and work. It's their choice to try to get it paying , we all have choices for income. I personally prefer a steady job with pension benefits etc , but I do see the " really living " factor. But , if that's their choice then so be it - but I can't support them... only with like or subscribe. You entertain us Murray , your videos are always great - the editing is superb and you clearly have a passion for mountain experiences. I do too , but I've also got commitments here in North Essex - but I do as much outdoor stuff as I can. Atb, Jamie.
Hi Murray, great video as always, and what a location for a camp! I have been trying to work out where the sport climbs crag is that you started the video on, but I can't seem to find it - could you let me know the name of the crag? Many thanks, Niall
Hi Neil, Im afraid I don't know either - I just followed Gerry and Mark up to the crag on the side of Ba L . Not sure if they are newly bolted or not TBH. Just short routes though :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
The hill could be Improved immensely if a path could be put in leading from the butterbridge carpark through the small forest and up the ridge instead of going across that bog that you currently have to use.
absolutely - it would complete the ridge as well if it could be done :) the wee boggy section is short lived but a line from the start of the ridge would be pleasing Alistair :) Thanks for watching as always Take care Murray
Maybe it's just me, but when I wild camp, I drink cold, stream water and eat sardines, corned beef, Snickers and apples, fruit. I never take the weight of a stove with me. It works for me.
You mentioned watching RUclipsrs who do filmmaking full time. For me, some are good, some are great, others..well. The quality of the edits & aired videos is up there with the professional filmmakers. Long May it continue but don’t punish yourself if you get behind, quality not quantity. You have quality. ATB Mark
I was trying to figure out where you were and what views you were looking out on. Perhaps I missed it in translation :) Is the mountaintop named? Thanks for taking us on your adventures. From a great great grandson of Muck, stuck in the States physically, but my spirit is over the highlands.
Nobody will complain if you take a well deserved rest from all the work that is involved in putting these great videos out.

Thanks Folks - very much appreciate that. I have been out a bit more in recent week and with a short annual leave break with work, I was up in Skye with Gerry and got some videos from that trip too. Back to having a buffer zone, so hoping the videos will continue for a while on a Wednesday evening :)

Every time I've walked these hills I've not had any views sadly so this video was absolutely fantastic watching with those great views.
If anyone deserves a break from making videos it's you Murray as most RUclipsrs just sit in a room and waffle, the time it takes driving to each walking route is time consuming let alone the editing time so thanks for the great videos Murray.
thanks Ibr - much appreciated :)

Life gets busy sometimes, we all understand I'm sure 😊
thank you :) much appreciated - lets see what happens but I have managed to get out a lot recently , might be able to keep the Wednesday evening vids going for a bit longer :)

Fantastic landscapes!
Thanks Joan - absolutely - the views from this mountain are special, but careful footwork is required in places too !lol

Tremendous Murray, truly an inspiration ! Is the In Reach a new addition, been thinking of getting one myself ?

I got it a few months ago before setting off on my Aviemore to Perth walk . Does what it says on the tin and seems pretty decent :)

Great video Murray great to see the Gang out again.... I still have lots of videos to catch up on.. Enjoy some time for you to enjoy the hills 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi Murray another amazing video hope you have a good trip north look forward to your next video.
Wow another incredible video..👌
Lovely video - incredible views - your love of Scottish mountains shines through
Great video as always Murray, wonderful views. Looks a great mountain to climb, must give it a go. Don't fancy your camping pitch though, wouldn't sleep a wink, be frightened of rolling over in the night. 😮
twas nice a close to the edge - not a place to pitch the tent if you are a sleep walker!!lol

It's a cracking wee Mountain. A fine spot indeed Murray. Talk aboot camping on the edge tho 😬😁

Excellent video Murray.
Cheers Robin - TBH you haven't heard me snore so I think the boss might enjoy her sleep when I am not at home!!lol There are a couple of smashing spots just off the summit and lots just beyond and down a little :)
Hope you are well

What are your favourite podcasts, Murray? Always on the look out for recommendations!
Hi Stuart, some recommendations - cool conversations. go mountain goats, mountain air, scot rock, the photography pubcast, mountain (old but superb episodes) , outside in podacst, dogger saints ;), photographic connections , uncanny....

All those midges made me itch! Great views, great video as ever. As others have said, don't sweat about getting out a weekly video. I'd rather have years of occasional treats than a flurry (of Murray 😅) that ends up in you burning out.
Thanks Alasdair, I have managed to get a little buffer zone of videos built back up so hoping there will be no breaks in the Wednesday evening videos lol
Got a few holidays planned soon and maybe able to get some video from those too which I am hoping keeps me all good :)

ATB

Regards
Ian
Every time I press record and go to turn it off I turn it the wrong way - every time 😂😂
Happy Friday Murray, not a big fan of the 3 split screen at the beginning but hey ho.
Good to hear about those sun hoodie too, I've seen Rab and ME do a range of them now but never tried or needed them.
On another note, your videos are the most entertaining and informative on RUclips, take a break or few weeks off and come back rejuvenated.
This video had quite a bit of activity!
Your tent was a bit close to the edge for me..too bad about the rock disturbing your sleep
When you see your little tent all by itself surrounded by the hills and mountains,
it really shows you really have it all to yourself
A nice long summer night and no rain

Firstly, stunning locstion and video as always .
Witn youtube its getting all the balance right . I love being out , love the filming and editing process , and love that people do watch the adventures I share . But I'm not obsessed with numbers or being out on filmable trips . My next one is out tomorrow, triple buttress, that was filmed a fortnight ago ( gratuitous plug I know 😅)
As with everything, its all about balancing everything.... Do it in a way you still enjoy doing it. If its becoming a chore , take a pause .
Brilliant video as always 👍. My wife and I really look forward to your videos, they NEVER disappoint. Hope you enjoyed your Tomatin 🥃

A glorious summer camp! Well done! Truly beautiful! Remember, New Zealand is only a short hope across 'the ditch' from the next time you visit your sister, Murray. Flights can be cheap if you and the family time it right! You know what I'm sayin'! ;-)
Apologies for my silence in recent weeks. My lady and I got hit hard with our first dose of Covid. Nearly back up to full speed after a month. Phew!

Hi Murray, wonderful video as always, the shot of the orange moon over the mountains was brilliant. I’ve got a red one of the Rab hoodies, does that mean I’m old and decrepit too or is red more young, hip and trendy than blue? 🤣🤣
All the best mate, cheers Dave 😀⛰🥾🏴
haha - I must try and get myself the red one!!lol
After thought, I forgot to say thanks for the shot of the bluebells. Perhaps you, or someone else can tell me are these the traditional bluebells of Scotland, famed in song, or are those in the song harebells?
Thanks and A. T .B.😊

That ecoflow fridge is amazing but not cheap!! Good job though!
Those Arochar are little psychopaths and to camp there in June is proper hardcore🫣.

Hi Murray, great video as always, and what a location for a camp! I have been trying to work out where the sport climbs crag is that you started the video on, but I can't seem to find it - could you let me know the name of the crag? Many thanks, Niall

Im afraid I don't know either - I just followed Gerry and Mark up to the crag on the side of Ba L . Not sure if they are newly bolted or not TBH. Just short routes though :)

The hill could be Improved immensely if a path could be put in leading from the butterbridge carpark through the small forest and up the ridge instead of going across that bog that you currently have to use.
absolutely - it would complete the ridge as well if it could be done :) the wee boggy section is short lived but a line from the start of the ridge would be pleasing Alistair :)
Thanks for watching as always

Maybe it's just me, but when I wild camp, I drink cold, stream water and eat sardines, corned beef, Snickers and apples, fruit. I never take the weight of a stove with me. It works for me.
You mentioned watching RUclipsrs who do filmmaking full time. For me, some are good, some are great, others..well. The quality of the edits & aired videos is up there with the professional filmmakers. Long May it continue but don’t punish yourself if you get behind, quality not quantity. You have quality.
