Just beautiful - every shot a feast for the eyes.... and as you got back to the tent I thought, there hadn't been a midge to be seen anywhere. And then ....... 😁. Just another wonderfully crafted film. Thanks so much Jim 👍🏻
You are so good at seeing the big picture as well as seeing the details. I love that about your work. I particularly liked the shot of your shadow walking about 10 mins in.
Wow, beautifully shot and edited video. I really enjoyed being immersed in your video. Having walked those hills it brought the memories back to me. Thank you so much for sharing.
Stunning video Jim. I did that same route to climb the 3 Fisherfield Munros on foot & camped for 2 nights near where you camped. Unfortunately we didn’t get the same clear views as you. It’s such a special place & about as wild & remote as it gets in Scotland. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Wow, absolutely stunning Jim, what a trip, one of your very best if you don’t mind me saying, topped off by BT divers, which are one of, if not the most beautiful birds, you have to be in places like this to see and hear them at their finest. Hats off sir 🙏
Thanks ☺️ The BT divers made my day. Mother was feeding the chick right outside the tent for about half an hour. (Don’t worry, I wasn’t near the nest!)
Brilliant Jim, absolutely stunning vid👍 captured the area superbly. I was camping in the exact same spot a few months ago doing those 3 munros, such a lovely camp. Drone shots were superb as usual Jim. Enjoyed that video.👍
Thanks Frank. It's my second time camped at that spot. Love that area. Will probably head in from the north next time. Keen to head to Beinn Dearg Mor in the heart of Fisherfield.
New to your channel Jim. Epic video. I’m heading up to Quinag on Wednesday night then dropping down to Torridon for a couple days and nights wild camping. This video makes me want to be there right now ❤️🏴
Thank you so much again Jim for creating this beautiful film, the eagle’s view of this extraordinary Scottish mountain landscape. The sights and sounds are mesmerizing. Such a gift to share with us!
This is a really lovely video Jim, thanks for sharing, we're hoping to get up to Scotland for some hiking and exploring next year so your videos will help us with our planning, we look forward to seeing more of your content, we've subscribed, thanks for sharing !
Thanks. Hope my other videos give you some ideas. Glen Coe is always a good bet for some spectacular walking but can be busy. Torridon and anywhere north of there is my personal favourite.
Yeah, I think when I started this channel I assumed everyone had short attention spans but it seems that's not the case with outdoorsy folk. I think they can appreciate long indulgent shots of mountains more than the average youtube viewer.
Lovely video, especially the tremendous drone shots from around Beinn Tarsuinn. And yes, I agree with you about 'wilderness' but hey who says it has to be perfect in the promised land. Thank you for this, it is so good to see those hills again. Cheers man.
I agree with one of the other comments...this is one of your best. I know how many steps you must have to take in putting these films together, and i'm not talking about the walking ones, and not least the ones you need to take just getting out of the house... i struggle with those ones a lot these days! A lot of work and time and thought goes into these films, i hope you're rewarded and that it leads to something, you deserve it. Looking into the camera at the end and connecting with your audience was a nice touch. Always inspiring...keep it up.
Thanks Steve. It does take a lot of work and I always think I could have done a better job but time is limited and, sometimes, so is motivation. You're right about getting out of the house. Truth be told, it was a real struggle to set foot for this one but I'm so glad I ignored my brain and went for it. Always appreciate you watching my films and commenting. Thank you!
Wow…..absolutely brilliant video Jim. One of your best in my opinion. You really know how to put a video together and your editing skills are fantastic. I hope your bike was still there when you got back to it. Thanks for sharing.
Lochan fada quite a trek laden on bike lol . I only did it twice lovely . Think ther is a boat moored to left for the estate . Brilliant footage thank you
As soon as the wind drops in the evening they all appear. Ruined my evening. Had planned to enjoy the sunset by the loch but I had to stay in the tent.
@@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking Understandable! I missed a few short-eared owl shots on Mull because of clouds of them being outside the car. Those divers were beautiful too.
Got lucky with the divers. They just drifted by while I was sitting in my tent. Don't worry, I wasn't near any nest site! Looking forward to the end of midge season!
And here are some of my favourite shots around the mountains of Scotland ruclips.net/video/o8uB3EihBww/видео.htmlsi=hKwwzzrYF6GEtisd
Absolutely beautiful. Really stunning scenery. Captured that perfectly!
Thanks Mark. Wonderful part of Scotland.
Amazing as is your photography. I love your quiet no talking style. There's no need to talk, the images do it all. Regards
Thanks. I'm glad there are others out there who like this style. I like it too!
Thanks / yes I hear winter arrives this week! Stay safe and look forward to a winter edit.
Thanks Philip :-)
Yet another evocative film Jim. Thank you for going there and sharing your beautiful impressions with those of us who arnt so adventurous.
Thanks again for watching. I really enjoyed this one. It's such a wild and beautiful place. Wish I could have stayed longer!
Just beautiful - every shot a feast for the eyes.... and as you got back to the tent I thought, there hadn't been a midge to be seen anywhere. And then ....... 😁. Just another wonderfully crafted film. Thanks so much Jim 👍🏻
Thanks. Yes, the wind dropped that evening and the midges were out in full force. Had to stay in the tent and miss the sunset!
What a great experience and lucky you. Have a great weekend.
Thanks Philip. You too. Cold weather on the way so hopefully some snowy hikes to come.
You are so good at seeing the big picture as well as seeing the details. I love that about your work. I particularly liked the shot of your shadow walking about 10 mins in.
Ahh, thanks Veronique! Lovely of you to say. I think I have a thing for shadows!
Wow, beautifully shot and edited video. I really enjoyed being immersed in your video. Having walked those hills it brought the memories back to me. Thank you so much for sharing.
And thank you for watching. Pleased to have brought back good memories. Wonderful area isn't it.
An outstanding video - beautifully put together. Especially enjoyed the views to the two Beinn Deargs.
Thank you. I've been wanting to do the Beinn Deargs for years (decades even!). Still haven't got round to it. Might have to be a future video.
Beautiful video and music. Scenery is spectacular.
Thanks for watching. Yes, spectacular place. Well worth spending some time exploring there.

Hi Linda. Thanks for watching. Yes, I got so lucky with the weather. I'd been waiting for a forecast like that for weeks!

Absolutely stunning footage Jim. Really enjoyed that. Love how you captured it all. Well done.

Thanks so much Alan. Appreciate the comment. Wonderful landscapes in the NW.
@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking definitely stunning landscapes. Am going upto Glencoe in the morning to climb Bidean Nam Bian.
Great Jim. Beautiful views throughout.
Thanks Andy. Such a beautiful area.
Beautifully shot! The landscapes in this video are absolutely breathtaking. Looking forward to more stunning views! 👍63
Thanks. More to come. Looking forward to the mountains in autumn. 🍂

Thanks for watching. I climbed Quinaig years ago. Cracking hill. You've made me think I should go back. Could make a nice film that one.
Thank you so much again Jim for creating this beautiful film, the eagle’s view of this extraordinary Scottish mountain landscape. The sights and sounds are mesmerizing. Such a gift to share with us!
And thank you again. Always good to hear that folk have enjoyed watching my wee films.
Always A Enjoyable Watching Jim.. Thank's For Taking The Time To Put These Together.
Cheers Paul
Thanks Paul. I enjoy doing it. Just wish I could do them more frequently but hard to find the time!

Beautiful film of this stunning landscape
Thanks. It really is a stunning area.
Brings back so many memories, thanks Jim.
Thanks for watching. Glad it brought back memories. I first went there in the 90s when I climbed Beinn Lair. I keep going back.
Sublime Jim, no words needed.
Thanks. I like to let the mountains do the talking!
Another beauty Jim. Nice length of film without compromise. Such a breathtaking area of Scotland, superbly captured as always.
Thanks. Thought I'd try to make something a bit longer as people have often asked me for longer films. Hopefully it wasn't too long!
@@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking Not too long for me. I think the viewer benefits from just a little bit of breathing space to take it all in.
Yeah, I think when I started this channel I assumed everyone had short attention spans but it seems that's not the case with outdoorsy folk. I think they can appreciate long indulgent shots of mountains more than the average youtube viewer.
Just beautiful, as always! Breathtaking, stunning, and many more superlatives. Thank you Jim. 🙏

Thanks Johny. Yes, wilderness is a bit of a loaded term hence the question mark. But it's certainly very wild out there.

Thanks for watching Mark. Beautiful place it is.
Wow…..absolutely brilliant video Jim. One of your best in my opinion. You really know how to put a video together and your editing skills are fantastic. I hope your bike was still there when you got back to it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. Yes, bike was there. Actually, I hid it a bit better than that after I'd taken that shot!
Stunning as always Jim. Lovely work 👍
Thank you so much. Lovely place to spend some time in.
Amazing 👍
An area yet to visit..
I don't think I've seen a black throated diver , they always seem to be red ones 🤔😅
BT divers a close relation to RT divers. Tend to see them on larger lochs. Beautiful birds!
Fantastic video Jim, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Lochan fada quite a trek laden on bike lol . I only did it twice lovely . Think ther is a boat moored to left for the estate . Brilliant footage thank you
It is hard on the bike, going in especially. Much easier on the downhill going out!
As always, incredibly shot. Am thinkin calories Jim - you probably use more filming than walking!
Filming does make the walk about twice as long as it normally would be. Thanks for the lovely comment 🙂
No words can describe those views simply awesome a fantastic area which you displayed very well. awesome Hope you escaped those midges lol😂
It really is a fantastic place apart from those bloomin' midges. They were horrendous on the last night. Thanks Andrew.
Yes they are a nightmare I love a breeze
The last shot of all the insects attacking your tent , where did they suddenly come from ? Is this when you had to de-camp 😳😅
As soon as the wind drops in the evening they all appear. Ruined my evening. Had planned to enjoy the sunset by the loch but I had to stay in the tent.
Beautiful, apart from the midges!
Oh hi Pete! Thanks for watching. Midges were horrendous. I missed the nice sunset because I didn't want to face the midges outside the tent.
