I honestly don't know how you're a) not a tv / radio celebrity. b) a 10m+ RUclipsr... your videos are well.. captivating for want of a better word. Your voice, the production.. everything makes me feel less anxious. Scotland's Mountains is quite literally therapy for me. Thank you, thank you!
I agree, imagine what Murray could do with a TV budget. Well let's all do our best by sharing following and liking, subscribing etc. to get Murray those 10m followers, he brings us joy and deserves to be up there with the YT greats 😀
Most of TV celebs are part of the club and not that talented and would find it too much work and effort to produce anything near to the level of Murray or many RUclipsrs.
As a diehard fan of your work im always in a state of awe at the conditions you find yourself in, from inversions, meteor showers and unaccompanied locations, sharing your experiences are always a joy to behold. Exemplary once again.
thanks Kevin - it was a fantastic camp and to experience the meter shower was special - usually it is clagged in when these things happen for me!!lol Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Another stunning and beautiful video, Murray. I wouldn't be seeing these alternative views of Scotland if I hadn't started subscribing to your channel - and I'm so glad I did!
Excellent video Murray your vlogs just get better and better, I would love to bump into you on a mountain sometime when I am over from Ireland climbing with my Scottish brother inlaw both of us watch all your stuff The Scottish landscape is just outstanding keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍ATB
Spectacular video Murray. In terms of folk making videos showing the best of Scotland you're a modern day Tom Weir. Hats off to you and keep them coming.
I very seldom miss a day at work to sickness, but I've been floored today. Spent most of it watching your videos. They're excellent and are keeping my spirits up for better day ahead, enjoying the great outdoors. So lucky of you to see those meteors on top of everything else, Scotch egg aside 😁
Lovely to see the meteor shower, the first one was the biggest I've ever seen.. You were brave to walk through the flying ants... we came across them on a hot day on dartmoor years ago, they were everywhere and we had to stop the walk and go back to the car.
Visited Scotland for the first time couple weekends ago. Blowed my mind...was in Cairngorms to see the pyramid but couldn't get access due to HRH passing. Only had 36hrs to look around so needless to say I'll be back ASAP for longer. Great video as always thankyou sir
Really jealous of the peace and tranquility Murray....and of course the beautiful views. Thanks so much for producing a wonderful video 👍 the inversion was spectacular over loch Tay I believe... fantastic stuff.
What a super camp Murray, perfect conditions. I must say it took me 3 goes at watching it 😁your voice is so soothing l kept falling asleep. 😁 anyway managed to see it all at breakfast time. It looked amazing in the snow too. Thanks as always for a great wee video, see you next time Alioban x
Another superb video Murray, your videos provide us with a much needed escape when we are stuck in the city and can't get out ourselves. What a stunning wild Camp this was, you are quite right, couldn't have got any better (well perhaps if they had had scotch eggs in stock 😆👍). Joking aside your videos are an inspiration, they are mainstream television quality. Looking forward to your winter vlogs😊👏
I My first wild camp up a mountain was about the same time earlier this year i imagine, and that's what stuck me wasn't the midge it was the millions of flying ants ! Great Video as always Murry!
What a wonderful spot for a wild camp Murray ....Love the way you choose your spot ! I spotted the shooting stars that's what I miss about camping in the wilderness ...the night skies and the sunrises and sunsets. Thanks as usual for sharing these special times.... 😊😮..so appreciate being able to catch up on your 'back' catalogue.😊
Heyup Muzza 💥! Them bloomin flying ant things always seem to fledge on the warmest days of summer. The wee beasties are omnipresent on days like that. Yet another amazing film BTW 😃👍👍
What a magnificent view! In 1994 I was on holiday in Milton Morenish with my (ex)husband and our 4 young children (6-13 yrs). We had a marvellous time. The weather was great and we tried to climb Ben Lawers but only my ex and oldest son (12) made it to the top, the others tired halway so we went back down. But it made such an impression on all of us and luckily the partners of my children are also fond of Scotland and they all can't wait to go there some time in the near future. Thanks Murray for this beautiful video!
There are times when after a hard day's work you get to distress watching a magical meteorological Murray wildcamp :). Perfectly pitched with aptly applied commentary by Scotlands Star. Fantastic as usual and not a scotch egg to be had anywhere. Looking forward to the winter ahead ☘️ M
You need to be on the tv but at the same time I appreciate your hard work and camera skills on point it makes me relax it makes me wanna go camp in highlands I was in Isle of Skye but definitely going back there again from London 14hrs drive
Fantastic as usual, I'm sure I've mentioned it before on previous videos but the fact you really enjoy what you do really shows through. As soon as I get a notification you have a new video up I'm all over it like a cheap suit. Like Dave Outdoors Scotland and MCM outdoors time and again you show that a well planned trip misses nothing when compared to the adrenaline junkies. Why you don't have more subscribers is a mystery....(Sorry for inadvertent plugs to other channels)
Another marvellous video Murray and I swear you captured a shooting star at 18:30 in just after showing us the inversion. Some stunning camera work in this one. But the biggest surprise for me was M&S no Scots Eggs. Absolute shocker 😂 Take care Murray ATB
We've found a flask of boiling water keeps hot enough for about 8 or 9 hours. Nick a few coffee packets next time you're in a hotel etc and you're sorted.
I agree with bringing a flask of hot boiling water as a substitute for a stove on occasions - ideal for warm days and nights when a hot meal is not really needed and the water stays hot enough for a couple of brews (and some instant porridge).
good idea - must remember that :) might try it out - would save the weight of the stove but add the weight of the thermos flask I suppose :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Another excellent video that truly encapsulates what mountaineering is all about. I can only echo the words of JTL . . . simply the best! Tnanks for sharing.
If not coffee sachets, maybe keep some candied coffee beans (the beans with a little coating around them) light and easy to pack, no water needed! So beautiful up there, Murray. Glad the only beasties you had to contend with on the mountaintop had curly, white coats and deep, scratchy voices! 🤣
Thankyou Murray, amazing scenes of Scotland as always, it only dawned on me while watching about the lack of a certain snack after tweeting yesterday 😁
Hey mate, have you ever tried a Thermacell for the midges? All I can say is DO IT! Get the version that runs on the normal camping gas cylinders. Once you use it, you will never go without one. Start it up when you first stop to set up camp and by the time your tent is pitched there will be no more midges.
Absolutely awesome Murray. What a trip. You sure had conditions to be pleased about....again! Loved it. Can't wait to get out on a summit camp soon. Your videos always get me jealous 😂
Thanks Harry , it was a fantastic wild camp with the inversion, shooting stars and nice warm weather - only downside were the flying ants on the mountain - at least they didn't make it as far as the camp spot :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
thanks Anne - it was a great wild camp this one - nice warm weather and some shooting stars from the tent - not a bad camp :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Murray, that was incredible. Thanks for sharing your adventures. One of my inspirations for getting out this year and starting solo mountain camping, it's just wonderful!
Lovely moontin camp! I think I was camped a few mountains over around the same time, as I had boiling walk in, a clear night, a full moon and lots of shooting stars.
I camped in the bealach in May there and couldn’t believe how busy the area you where at was. Can’t believe how quiet you got it on that night. I camped out on the blood night too over on your favourite small mountain in glencoe 😊
Great video and great weather you had. Funnily enough Beinn Ghlas and Lawers we're the last two I done just a few weeks ago and had the same conditions. We managed to get a full 360 that day including the Buachaille and the Nevis range. ATB
Another good one! The inversions always look like snow You caught some good shooting stars..one looked like it exploded Those are some pretty relaxed sheep That was a nice hike and camp..very relaxing Take care ❤🇨🇦
Amazing video Murray, you capture the beauty of Scotland so well. What camera / lens and settings do you use to capture the stars on video? The shooting star was fantastic. Thanks
I'm wild camping in the Cheviots in Northumberland and unable to get to sleep at 2am. Great quality and nice and relaxing. Night night. PS what make of mic are you using as its really clear. Subbed as well Graeme
Murray, been following your channel for years, always a superb watch. Can I ask, what video editing software do you use? I'm a keen drone photographer and I'm looking for good software. Of course every software claims to be the best!
Hi Craig - I use power director software which does the job. I think once you get familiar with one program , it is hard to move away from it :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Fantastic views as always. A feast on a mountain top you had. Interested to hear about how good the tent is. It’s on the list to buy at some point, possibly if I head to the USA and being back to save on import tax. Does it breathe well?
Never really had any issues with condensation TBH - had a wee bit on a raining weekend when I spent most of my time in the tent but it was not bad - only a few drops on the inner :) Must say I have not had any issues with the SCARP1 since I got it back nearly ten years back Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
Another epic adventure. Question 🙋🏻♂️ ………. I recently completed Nevis via the Arete with my 11 year old son. He seen one of you photos of the North face and is desperate for a print to take pride of place in his room. How would I go about purchasing a print from you? Thanks 🙏🏻

Completely agree - best films out there - and so inspirational- thank you Murray
I agree. We save Murray's videos every week for a weekend treat. They are better than any mainstream TV programming on the same subject.
God bless Scotland!

I'm only jealous of you because you make better videos than me. Stunning, as always.
There are coffee satchets that you can dissolve in cold water. A cold cup of coffee has a very short season in Scotland though. But what a morning...🤩
If not coffee sachets, maybe keep some candied coffee beans (the beans with a little coating around them) light and easy to pack, no water needed!
