Wow blonde makes you look so much younger ....it suits you👌🏾
The dark looks better
This is the best dark hair bleaching tutorial on this app. I have seen all of them and this one's the best. Thank you for uploading!!

Wow thank you so much
You did a great job! I’ve been a stylist for 16 years. Only one thing I need to correct you on.... you would of paid $200+ in a salon easy lol!
From a professional standpoint, be cautious when using SO much conditioner before a bleach/ color service. You can soften the hair TOO much and it will just melt when you apply the bleach or color. Knowing your Hair porosity is very very important!
Really? I thought you were supposed to condition and do masks and olaplex before bleaching.
$220 plus tip $44 = 264 in Atlanta plus traffic there and back! No thank you. I’ll do it myself like you did. We appreciate your courage to do this video!
@@Mereship I heard from a hairdresser that olaplex have a big concentration of protein and it shouldn’t be used before dying hair at least 2 weeks before🤷🏼♀️
@@cristinacristina1407 oh wow that is interesting. I haven’t gotten it yet so that’s good because I have to dye my hair every two weeks because I’m so gray.
I’m not a professional and I came here to say that. You should never apply a barrier before you do the
Thanks so much for posting this ! I’ve been wanting to lighten my hair and this tutorial is so helpful. Can’t wait to try it !
THIS is exactly what I've been looking for thank you so much!
I’d call you professional. Looks SOO good. You have a ton of hair. I need to lighten mine as I have it too dark.
Great job
It’s the perfect bronde color. LOVE IT!
Thank you Bella
What color did you use the last one
Stunning color on you. Great job! Can't wait to see the same results. Thanks for sharing your knowledge 😃
I'm a cosmetologist but haven't practiced for a number of years, either. I did my own blonde from a level 4 dark brown for years, but then went back to natural a couple years ago, but hate it. Hesitant to do my own again, even with my experience, but you did such an amazing job. Truly amazing! Looks great! And as someone else mentioned, it would be in the $200 range or more. You saved a ton!
Just seeing your kind message. Thank you. I hope you ended up getting good results with your hair. It’s so fun to do hair every now and then right?! even though we aren’t in the salon anymore!
Girl, you are fearless! So lovely on you.
Amateur tip: while doing this process I had a really hard time holding 2 foils in place. I used the foils with one side colored and what I did was put the colored sides together, fold one end over twice them unfold it. You now have a super long single foil to work with, which if you're not super experienced at foils like I am this was a BIG HELP! Prep your double foils in advance if you have long hair!!
Great tutorial, very helpful! I will be attempting this tomorrow❤ haven't bleached my own hair in a few years so this gave me a wonderful idea of what technique to do
It looks amazing!!!! 😍 You did a great job.
I'm a professional hairdresser and you did a fantastic job! Looks amazing!
Wow thanks so much

It came out beautiful. I don’t know I’m a little nervous to try it.
Could you post a product list?
Thanks!
You make complete sense to me, now I know exactly what to buy at Sally's! I didn't realize I needed toner to eliminate the orange. All this time I've been put more color on my hair and wondering why I still had orange and it wasn't shiny, because I kept putting more color on it. So thank you so very much for this tutorial, I appreciate it.
I work with a woman who has orangish hair and I need to tell her about you and toner. You are saving the world 1 head at a time!!! Thanks again!!
You are so sweet! Hope it turned out well ❤️
What a great job! Looks beautiful
Thanks so much Johanna!
Looks really beautiful... I'm currently dark and I'm always doing my own dye. I would love to go back to blonde.
Thank you so much❤️
Such an informative video. Thank you! Love your hair too
Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful ♡
Wow perfection holy cow you did so good 😊 I can’t wait to try this , I am so excited just waiting for my order to arrive so I can dive on in and do this 😀
So how did it go?
Hey you really inspired me to dye my hair. I have a lot less hair than you and I’m kind of confused about measuring.. what measurements did you use?
Your hair looks absolutely amazing
You did a beautiful job, came out great!!😍👏
Thank you ❤️
Beautiful, well done!
Such a beautiful color !!
Very pretty! I really like the blonde brown mix look. It suits you!
Thank you ❤️
Wow it came out really nice. You are brave, doing this and to long thick hair is really risky, congrats.
Hi Melissa! Did you use both the quick blue packets in the beginning or just one? I wanna follow your process but don't wanna mess that up. Thank you so much :)
Thank you for this information. My hair used to be a medium golden blonde but I wanted to try a darker reddish brown to match the hair growth underneath. It looked really great on me...until the gray started growing in and then it was a nightmare. I tried to keep up with it but eventually the gray won out. So I let it grow several inches and then used an ion medium blonde to cover the gray with a 20 volume developer. Problem is that the ends are still really dark and I want a more uniform color distribution. Right now the top of my head is gray and the funky darker color is still on the bottom. With the quarantine in place and not working I figured it was not as urgent to deal with the gray. I went to the salon to inquire about the color blending and cost to do it. I was told that bleaching that bottom area would damage it and the gal at the salon suggested a weave to help with blending the 2 colors. As you said...expensive. I was quoted around $150 to have that done at Perfect Look but the gal I spoke with does not do color and suggested coming back when the colorist was there to verify the price. I do not know how to do a weave and am not comfortable doing it on my own in spite of your demo. I wish there was an easier way. :-((
If you want more confidence in how she does this, you could slow the video down to 50 percent speed and put the subtitles on with 200pt font in options that'll help you see and understand her if she goes to fast.

Quarantine has me watching this video lol
your hair looks really great
Looks beautiful!
Okay, you're so pretty!
Your so nice! Thank you!
I'm going to try this technique next time I highlight. I do mine at home with eSalon. I love my color and it covers grey. The last time I did the highlights, it came out brassy. I had to get toner.
You are so beautiful! Oh and your hair turned out GREAT!!!!
You are so sweet thank you ❤️
Amazing transformation. You still shine your smile high. Love it
Love this gonna do it today!! So if I already have bleached hair do I just buy the toners and developer ?
Seriously you should get a million likes. Not even kidding. Thank you!
-1. OMG I so appreciate you using something the average person can buy! Every other video is either a licensed cosmetologist using professional products or amateurs doing something I’ve never seen before with sometimes decent results.(sometimes not)
I have had hit or miss with Sally’s products but many times they work it’s just over the years I’ve forgotten which did really well.
2. That was so easy to follow and though it seems like a lot, those of us who have done this before know, that was a huge and successful shortcut. Doing the weaving how you did and then balayage-amazballs!
I have similar hair as you (long) mine is a bit lighter from occasional diy highlights. So this was so great. Even your bathroom with the toys was familiar!😂 I have 2 littles 👫 and they have too many bath toys. Lol
I do have a question for you though if you get a chance to read my comment...
I’ve had a problem before with toner lifting my roots (I guess because of the 20 vol 🤷♀️) any suggestions on how to prevent that?
Wow it looks amazing ❤️🔥🔥
Amazing, every time 8 go hair dressers they never get it right! Your amazing!
Ahh I've been dying to do this thank you🥰
Your welcome. Good luck
Looks pretty fantastic !
Looks good! I tried it too! ☺️
It looks natural and you did such a good job. My hair is pretty short so I’m gonna have to touch up monthly lol but this is an amazing look.
Btw do I have to use the bleach? Can I just mix the dyes and apply them to my hair?
I am a stylist I love mixing the beige shade toners with the ash it always makes a beautiful shade
Hi, i wanna dye my hair just like her, or i wanna get a natural brown color, i have black hair so i have no idea how to get it natural brown, i have no idea what products to buy to get it, and is it safe to color my hair again after i have had hair damage? I got the damage 2 years ago so i dont know if its still safe cause some of my hair is falling out, not extremely much just a little. I also have like white things when i scratch my head. But yea i really need a natural looking brown color that it looks like its not dyed. Thanks if you can help me
John Henry Tran my suggestion is to do a 2 step protein and moisturizer treatment called aphogee before any color. Also use coconut oil on your scalp & hair for a week each night and wash off each morning before you color. The only way to lighten your hair is bleach or a hi lift color. I suggest a gentle bleach like Clairol Kaleidocolors to lighten to desired amount. After that you can use either a mix of darker toners like a Wella T14 (ash tone) a T10 ( beige tone) & a T28 (natural blonde). To get a light brown just don’t let the bleach set as long and use a level 20 developer not a 30 or mix.
@@TiffanysBunnyGang okay thank you so much! :D
John Henry Tran one more thing to do is do a deep conditioning about 3 days after color. Shea Moistures I think is the brand name has a lot of good deep conditioning treatments, they have it at Sally’s or Walmart. A leave in conditioner spray is also a good idea after each shower. This is the process I use after going blonde. I have medium brown hair and had to bleach several times to lighten to the shade I wanted. My hair is so healthy looking a very soft.
Wow I learned a lot from this..It is definitely doable
Thank you so much for this video! I love a proper hair lightening and balyage video. Makes my heart (and hair) happy! Lol.
You are so sweet! Thank you
The lighter hair looks great on you! Great video as always!
Thank you
This video has been very helpful because I just bought some products from Sally's beauty supply and plan to do a similar change. I'm a natural dirty blonde/light brunette with some grays coming in. What would you recommend for roots with this process???
It looks great
I dont know if they can dye like this even in saloon you did A nice job
Wow thank you so much ♡
Hi. I usually buy drug store hair dye but i came across your video and wanted to give your method a try. Im scared to use actual bleach specially doing it by myself. Although you made it looked so easy. I had my hair professionally bleached about 2 years ago and i just keep retouching my roots with regular drug store hair dye. (Ive been dying my own hair in many years so i somewhat know how to do it but im not professional) So my hair isnt too dark but almost like dark blonde with brown roots. I found a quick blue bundle on amazon with wella T18 toner and 20 volume developer. Its a bundle so i figured its a good deal. On your video i saw that you had that big developer bottle and 2 small developers, but im wondering if I can use the same developer on quick blue and wella? Is it necessary to have different ones?
Are you a hairdresser? First time I’ve seen you but this looks SO GOOD so professional!
@Melissa OMG! Gurl your hair came out sooooo pretty. I’m so J!! I diy my hair but my hair is not as long! So wish it was. But I love how your hair came out! Thx for the video!!
Your so sweet thank you Alli! Thank you! How did yours come out?
XOXO Melissa Tomao well...not the best. Some came out orange-orangey yellow. Soooo...I’m waiting on some products to come in mail and in the meantime I’m doing hair masks every 2 days. I usually wash my hair every 3 but I’m concentrating on adding protein and moisture in. Because the bits that did come out pale yellow-yellow well they look not great. Frizzy and over processed. Yikes!! But I haven’t toned it at all. I figure I’ll do that at once and after I fix the orange pieces! It’s not like I’m going any where with this lockdown in our homes. Lol. Thx for asking! Take care!!🤩💜🦋
hello.
died my hair last month using The Loreal light brown,
Just wondering if its gonna work even my hair has a color already? I love your hair. Wanted to do it my own.. I really need your response😍
If you did need to use that semi permanent color on your roots to blend the color, what would your process have been?
i use to do a similar process when i was blonde i always did a balayage on my bottom half but i still used foils then i would do the weaving on top with foils. i did go to cosmetology school.
Hi ya, this is amazing. I wanted to do the same to my hair but having difficulty finding the same exact products coz I'm based in Europe. Is any hairdresser here based in EU can recommend same product easy to find brands in EU please ? Much appreciated. ☺️
So pretty thank you for sharing
Thank you soo much I've been using henna but miss being blonde & definitely don't want to go back to chemicals as it ruined my hair.
You are awesome because you did amazing work. Also this color is very good on you. ❤ i just want to make sure that you shared wella developer and salon developer which of them for toner which one for breaching Could you please tell me 🎉❤🎉
Omg im so happy you
Posted this and then I caught it right before I’m doing my hair so I pretty much got everything that I supposed to get except I noticed that you have a separate developer for your bleach. Do I need that? All
I have now as it is a big bottle of 40. Should I go get like a 20 to mix with my toner? I didn’t get hair dye either
Should I get both?
@bradmondo! Please do a video on very successful at home color/ bleaching applications such as this one!
Thank you so much. My daughter was trying to tell me how to do this, but I needed to see it!
Hope it turned out well ❤️
Did this three months ago and got so many compliments on my hair! My hair is naturally a chocolate brown with some natural highlights in it, but I wanted to dye my hair a light purple so I used this method for a natural looking ombre that would be light enough for me to put light purple over it with semi-permanent hair dye. I liked the lightened hair so much that I left it for about a month before I actually dyed it purple. A quick disclaimer, I am no professional and have actually never bleached my hair at home before this. Somehow with absolutely no bleach experience whatsoever, my hair came out looking really great! Don't be scared, immediately after bleaching it looked a little yellow and orangey but once you add in the Wella toner that orange goes right away and evens out to a nice blonde! My friend liked it so much that she has asked me to do this to her hair as well! Definitely recommend this method to anyone looking to bleach at home! Even after bleaching, my hair feels soft and healthy with very little damage! I follow up with a deep conditioner once a week and just leave it on in the shower for about 15 minutes to keep my hair healthy. I couldn't get a hold of the It's a 10 miracle deep conditioner she suggests so I ended up going with Mielle Babassu and Mint Deep Conditioner and absolutely LOVE the smell! Definitely recommend!
It looks sunkissed and natural :)
Your hair looks great!!
Thanks so much
wowww loveeee ur hair its bootiful and thx for the idea!!!!!!

I followed this to a T with my daughter's hair and she looks absolutely amazing and I have never been good at doing hair. I would love if you would help me with my other kids hair because you were on point. Thank you so much and my daughter looks fantastic thanks to you!!!!
This makes me so very happy. I’m so glad you got fantastic results. I bet she looks beautiful. Good job mom! I can definitely try and do more hair tutorials. I just cut both of my girls hair and did color for back to school. Maybe I will do a video on that 🤷🏼♀️ Let me know what your looking for help with and I would be glad to try and help ❤️
I was looking at getting a packet of Ardell Red Corrector to prevent brassiness, would you reccomend these toners instead? I was going to use a box dye. I have the same natural hair color you have. I am interested in looking like you.
Hi! I used your video tutorial to do my hair about 2 months ago and am getting some serious roots. I want to try to hold out a bit longer before touching up to avoid too much damage. I also want to go a bit more blonde next time and I noticed that in your new videos your hair looks a bit lighter which is what I want to go for too. Is there anyway you can post a video of your touch up technique? Thanks so much for posting this video by the way. My hair turned out great and your technique was the best and most doable (to me) of the dozens I watched on RUclips before deciding to just do it! Haha
Megan Davis hi Megan! I’m so happy this worked for you! Yes my hair got a lot lighter. I added more blonde using pretty much the same technique. I actually have a video going up this week how I’ve been touching it up! Hopefully up by Wednesday! Thanks for the sweet compliments ❤️
XOXO Melissa Tomao yay! Can’t wait! Seriously so glad you posted this because I have paid over $300 for highlights before and walked out of the salon crying they looked so bad or looked like nothing had been done, Haha. Just some awful experiences. Blarg. So relieved to be able to do this myself now! 👍👍
I love this hair hack. The results are really impressive. The bit I didn't quite understand is when you put the T11 and T14 on your hair. I can see how that permanently coloured your bleached highlights but how come it didn't turn your very dark bits of hair orange as they weren't prelightened and you were adding a permanent lightening product on to it.
I love the results! i was wondering if you or anyone else would recommend another deep conditioner that isn't so heavily scented? I have major problems with fragrances namely florals or sandalwood types but unscented or fruity do not cause problems. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
Isnt floral and fruity in the same category? 🤷🏻♀️
@@rachaelteague7578 No fruit smells entirely different as it is lighter & smells natural. Floral falls into the category of perfumes which are heavier lingering scents that can be overpowering to those of us with sensitivities. They also tend to be a blend of multiple florals & other things like sandalwood & musk.
Fragrances have become an issue with a lot of people & when I had to go to conferences many of them banned perfumes & colognes.
My hair is virgin so far for several months.
I’m going to color dye it medium golden brown. It’s a nice color that suits me.
But then I want to do this process you did.
I bought the products:
I’m ready ..
I’m thinking maybe waiting a few days before starting the bleaching.
My virgin hair is dark brown as of now.
Should I color it medium golden brown , and when doing so will I make it look weird with the process you did?
Like red or pink ?
Wow 😯 you look so pretty!
Love the new hair
So pretty!
I know this is an older video but if you see this comment, I was wondering how much peroxide did you use at the end with the 2 toners? what number toner? 20 or 30 and how much? You did a fantastic job!
i love this so much!!!!
GREAT VIDEO!!!! I’m about to try this and am soooo nervous of breaking my hair. How long do we know how to process the bleach? I know you did 1.5 hours, but is that the norm? I also heard adding oleplex to tbe mix
Toccoah10 10 how did it turn out?
Love this color
I have a question maybe u can help
I have super dark hair almost black
And I went super light blonde .and now I put a light golden brown color over the blonde . And my black roots are growing out. What would I use to get my dark roots to match my light golden brown hair without bleach
Can u use a box color
It looks amazing !!
Thank you Sandra
I want this color so bad!!
Your amazing, gorgeous !
My hair I believe is a level 4 dark brown (natural hair color). I want to get to a level 7 balayage. I dont have any highlights in my hair.
I'm still a bit lost on how to use/mix the hair color, toner and developer????
Hair color dye goes first. The toner mixes with the developer if the color comes out brassy?
I've had wella Professionals do my hair before (I am a hair model) but I want to do it myself.
Please give me any tips 😘
If you can recommend which wella products I should buy.
Hi thanks so much. You want to lighten with bleach before you tone. The toners come with directions but you mix 1 part toner with 2 parts developer. Hope that helps♡
XOXO Melissa Tomao was hair wet when u put the toner ? Does it have to be dry or can it be wet?! TIA
I liked this tutorial, very helpful thanks!
I want to do this on a dark brown to begin transition to gray. what color toner color will you recommend?
