  • A bit of a longer video covering the MKIII drives (longer as the assembly is more complex). Again, compliments the instructions. Hopefully helps.

Instead of hot glue to hold the square nuts in the holes just use a blob of grease, this holds it great and you can still move the nut about if you need to to line it up properly

You come out with this after I finish building it! lol
I had to add washers as you recommended to that center herringbone gear. I added lithium grease to it and the face of the gear on the motor shaft since it was pretty tight to the face of part B.
The boiling water trick made fitting my 'dreaded tire' easy, thanks for that. The spindles were a pain.
I didn't know about the axle caps, I skipped them. Oops?
I did not know about adding washers to the wheel gear to keep it from touching part B.
My square nuts had to be knocked in with a deadblow, they were all super tight. I dunno if they were slightly thicker than yours or what.
Getting part A and B together was not fun.
I had to use longer bolts for the omniwheels. I think the directions said M10 or M12 and I had to use M16, the 12 wouldn't grab the nut.
I saw the flex locks but didn't print them since I want to do 2-3-2. Will they work with that?
Getting the nuts into those top parts once they are together was a pain.
    Very cool video!

Very useful video. How do I find/access the small flex part that fits on top of the Drive Unit? Also, can I fit the v2 skins on the mkIII Drive Units (using the v2 attachment points)?

Hi Michael, at 23:42 you show a leg lock that needs to be printed in FLEX. I'm looking in the V2 FEET folder but it is not in there. Do you have a link? Thank you for the great video.

Great video, this really helps with the build. I can't seem to find your Leg Lock flex part that you mention around the 28-minute mark in either the feet files or the leg files. Can anyone pint me to the folder that has this part?

Michael, Have now managed to print all my R2 on Prusa i3 MK3S+ you recommended without any issues, the only item left is the flex items e.g. wheels and tyres. I have tried for a week using some Ninja Flex but gets lots of stringing and the items rip of the bed before finishing. Have tried many profiles an settings and using the textured sheet.
Do you have a recommend filament and setting/profile for the Prusa I can get and try?
