It looks awfully nice, and I hope more people consider this as a serious option while shopping in this segment. However, I don’t think anyone will ever be able to take down the GM full-sized SUV triplets, they’ve ruled this segment since it was conceived and don’t look to be giving up that spot anytime soon. But more competitive vehicles like this Armada is good to have as an alternative!
Alex's channel is the absolute best vehicle review site, and I am rooting for the site to cross a million subs. I am just surprised that it has not already done so, years back.
This Armada is looking great. Historically the Armada has always felt like the awkward, lower-rent alternative to the Land Cruiser. However with the latest LC really dropping the ball, this Armada is now the choice option. Even moreso if it was called the Patrol - at this point a global icon unto itself.
@ArthurBenetton well now we got the baby lc, which no one but maybe jeep with the gc has an answer for. The big lc is now just lexus (granted it's still bad imo). But thr armada name plate is just known here while the patrol is not, and it's already a suffering vehicle

The 2025 Armada is going to sell very well compared to to many full size SUVs in this category. It’s going to be all about price. The Armada is also going to take some sales from Infiniti with QX80. The Armada is topping $82K in the Platinum reserve will the QX80 Tops $113K with options that many will not use. Averages family incomes in the US is somewhere around $50 -$75K. In my opinion the Armada does fit majority of wants for average families.
It looks very good. However I would either wait for the inevitable heavy discounts on the hood, or in a year or two a CPO with low mileage at 35-40% off msrp
When was the last time u used the spare? I would much rather take storage space inside. Just buy a space saver and keep it on long road trips. Much more practical

I’m a Toyota truck guy, and I’m frustrated with the lack of full sized Lane Cruiser and the botched new Sequoia. Leaning hard towards GMC’s Yukon AT4 with the diesel. But this Nissan looks interesting. Nissan did a good job with it. I don’t love the styling of the Pro 4X but the other trims look great. Hopefully I can get a locking diff in the Plat/Reserve trim.
Same here the Sequoia is frustrating and the rear is completely useless. I haven’t owned a General Motors car in over 30 years and I’m a little nervous with a Tahoe or a Yukon to be honest. I’m gonna check out the refreshed expedition. The Wagoneer was a fail for me the seats are obnoxiously small for a giant SUV. The second row seats are so high that my head was hitting the headliner and I’m only 6 foot one the fake wood trim flexes when you push on it I really wish she would’ve done a better job with the Wagoneer because this segment needs more competition. This Armada looks interesting
It looks like the Mitsubishi Outlander, and it'd be fun if they got an Endeavor based on the Armada to spread out the economies of scale even more and inject some life into the lineup.
Hopefully Nissan will survive their current situation and vehicles like this one will get the support it may need in the future. As good as this Aramada is looking…if Nissan goes away, I’m not sure I’d want to own one.

As someone who owns a VR30 engine (same family different specs as the one in the Armada) I must say I’ve had 0 issue with my engine after 5 years of ownership. Turbos still zooming and engine still chugging along perfectly
I’m checking out the new Tahoe but I have to say this new armada is really attractive. Similar performance as the 6.2 but only needs regular. Yes I’m buying a truck and I care about fuel economy coz regular is $4.50 in my area

We towed the travel trailer halfway across the country with our '21 Armada and then did some off-roading in places like Moab. An old-school station wagon wouldn't have worked.

The problem for the Nissan, if they are trying to take share from the Sequoia, which they are, is this engine is less powerful, and less fuel efficient than the Toyota hybrid. I think the vehicle itself is better, though

I try to go no older than a few years and certainly, no more than 35000 miles, and I was driving the previous generation ~2022 armada, and I just could not find a comfortable seating position and felt like I was sitting up too high. Like the seat needed to be able to go vertically down lower by a couple of inches. So instead, I went for more comfort, and I wanted at least a little, tiny bit of sportiness, that also gave me legit. 2 speed transfer case, 4 wheel, low... and towing capacity, that's at least something.....and so I'm going in the direction of a 2022 or so Jeep Cherokee L. .....Which doesn't really seem to be too much different than a dodge durango, except for nicer, more comfortable things?.... THOUGHTS?

Beautiful looking vehicle but, unfortunately, Nissan converted the Armada from a reliable V-8 to a stressed out twin turbo V-6 and its storage capacity falls short of my needs. Therefore, my options are limited to GM's Suburban Z71, Yukon XL AT4 or Cadillac Escalade ESV.

I agree they are on the precipice. They have tarnished their reputation by selling subpar products for years and probably driven a lot of people into financial ruins. Not very many people can afford a 4-5k transmission bill on a financed car with other debt
How do you know this? This is a clean sheet design with a different engine and transmission from the old one. If anything, it should be as reliable as the current Land Cruiser (300 series).

Nissan SUVs have become pretty good. Now do the same with your cars and ditch the CVT for most models and lower the Z price by 5k

Can you use adaptive cruise without all the other propilot stuff? I love ACC, but always turn off lane keep assist when I can.

The Sequoia simply needs to be done away with and replaced with an all new platform. The current model is unacceptable.

I still say the 37mpg on the highway diesel Tahoe is the clear choice in this segment. This is nicer than I was expecting from the Nissan though

I like the GMC Yukon. Nissan desperately needs this truck to succeed.
I’m a little skeptical of the long term reliability of a detuned GT-R engine. Otherwise, it looks like a triple if not an outright home run.
This or the GX550? I can't think of why I would pick this over a Lexus.

Rogue sells very well… hopefully this will capture some tahoe/expedition/wagoneer buyers. This is definitely a more compelling choice vs. the Sequoia.
