I would often just sit in the couch watching TV) -The Stand up Comedy show (Split sides) It was awesome!!! -Story (A great story with different outcomes, different plots, twists, and overall great writting) -Dating (It was fun to pick a girlfriend from the websites and go on dates) -Emails (The emails Niko received AND sent were awesome and meaningful AND you could see him writing it them) -Cyber Cafes (It was cool to actually have to go to an internet cafe to check the email AND visit that girl that worked there :) -Meaningful dates (Going out with girls OR friends was always awesome and had interesting conversation topics) -Meaningful dates (The people were different and so it was always interesting to hear from them and their stories) -Cool places (Going out the bro's or with the GF was always awesome, there were always cool places to visit like: - Restaurants (Characters would comment on if they liked the place or not) - Bowling (Bowling was a fun minigame especially to share with the company) - Pool (Pool is another great minigame to play with the bros) - Comedy show & Cabaret club (these were AMAZING to go to and see a show!!! Funny & interesting) ----------- There are many things that GTA 4 did very well, these things I pointed above are NOWHERE TO BE SEEN in GTA 5 which is a shame. Obviously GTA 5 has "friends" and "comedy" but not like GTA 4 did. Even though GTA 5 is a great game and much more fun to play (open world etc) it will never have the impact (emotional, immersive, etc) that GTA 4 has. For instance... I could give a fuck about Michael, Trevor or Franklin... And much less of Lamar... Ron... Wade... etc. However I LOVED Niko bellic, Patrick McReary, Little Jacob, Dwayne, Kate, Gerry, Derrick, Roman, Brucie, Michelle, etc.etc.etc.. So much that I actually SHITTED myself when I saw Packie was in GTA 5. I respect and love GTA 5, including all the work that was put into making it be a masterpiece BUT I get a little mad and annoyed at why Rockstar didn't grab those good things in GTA 4 and brough them to GTA 5... This makes GTA 5 a great journey with awesome missions and great fun to be had but not much else... In a few years I will still remember the story and characters AND feeling of when I played GTA 4 but as for GTA 5 I will probably only remember the protagonists and not much else.

I really miss that little stomach ache i felt in school when GTA 4 came to my mind. It was one of my first video games which i played in a considerable young age and i'll always think of it as the best game i played in my life.

Mohamed Nabeel while it the graphics and physics were amazing at the time, it was pretty unresponsive and there wasnt a whole lot to do with the game after you beat it. Heck the money even becomes useless too, you cant own property. People's standards were set differently after San Andreas, you had gang wars, various activities, various vehicles, customization, property, and the map was also bigger and filled with more easter eggs and hidden things to find.
I had same feeling. Also game had that dirty feeling that i can compare only to GTA III. But in this GTA it's much much better because story is more close to our hearts and Nico is more human than other protogonists of GTA series. Maybe he is bad guy and do bad things as other protogonists of gta but he do it for his friends and family, and frankly who would become other person after things that he experienced in balkans in 90's, jugoslavian war was horror. And also was really easy for me to feel like Niko because he is Slav like me. I dunno why im writing all of this but i had some thoughts aboyt GTA IV and i needed to write about them. GTA IV is a masterpiece, the sense of atmosphere of Liberty City is so unmatched , you genuinely feel like you’re in a massive city, the world feels so alive, Niko Bellic is my favorite GTA protagonist, he’s got so much emotional depth, and the story was also really good, classic by Rockstar Games 👏👏👏👏

This game was so advanced for the time when it came out back in '08, I dont think people understand how much detail was put into this game during a time when open world games were not nearly as prevalent as they are now. gta 4 was a realistic gta more down to earth and captured the dark gritty feel of new york. while capturing the magic of a new country through the eyes of an immigrant was well done actually

The editing on R* trailers have always been amazing but this is one that stands out to me!

San Andreas had a more epic map but this game had the best story and characters, the lack of countryside and airplanes kinda was a bummer tho

I remember this trailer for the game back in 2008 and it still gives me the same amount of hype it does today and I still play it along side with Gta V, Gta SA and Gta Vice City god I love this game series so much.
