Brahmos are supposed to be sea-skimming missiles flying at very low altitude, and also will do evasive maneuvers and not just fly at a straight trajectory. I do not think they are modeled very well in the game right now..
It does follows S trajectory in it's terminal phase. And only the Block 3 version of Brahmos can do sea-skimming at 1 metre above sea level and also perform a vertical dive in it's terminal phase in case it is targeting carriers. block 1 & 2 don't have such specs
Please note that Mig 29K are armed with KH 35 anti ship cruise missiles. Indian Navy also uses Boeing P8I Neptunes maritime petrol aircrafts each of which can carry 4 harpoon anti ship missiles. Further Sukhoi 30Mki after firing their Brahmos can use their A2A missiles for dogfighting and they can be formidable considering they are supermaneuverable aircrafts. Further if required it can also use Jaguar aircrafts armed with Exocet missiles (they are not being used anymore after arrival of Mig 29K). A Brahmos fired from a distance of 150 Km will give just 2.6 mins to the adversary to react. Brahmos USP is its sustained supersonic speed unlike most other supersonic anti ship missiles which are are supersonic only at the terminal stage. Hope this has been built into DCS. My two cents.

The Brahmos is supposed to be sea-skimming, right? Would be very cool to see a re-run when things actually work. This sort of stuff is nice and harmless fun, but apparently some just have to make it a national thing. It's a god damn game.
I am very disappointed with DCS 😡 Brahmos is not a cracker rocket today's brahmos is been upgraded with a range of 600km with a speed of 3.5 mach and it's very maneuverable with a accuracy of 5M
If you realized there is no fighter jet that had a radar that can defect 600kms. Also Indian Su-30mki only have 90km of radar detection. There is no a to a missile that have effective range of 600.
Can't imagine the comment section going to become a warzone. I think Cap needs to redo this mission with Awacs and Indian Carrier group as well (I know DCS doesn't have Indian Carriers but in real life India has 2 Carriers one is retired, but still can use Russian carriers for it.)
How can you call this a realistic scenario? No AWACS for Indians, No P8i maritime surveillance No spectra EW on Rafale. No shore based brahmos batteries in Mumbai No sea skimming No S manoeuvres, no 90 degrees dive.

New laws were passed to make this more efficient and the recent rapid militarization is proof in the pudding.

No! It's 250 nautical miles the air version now. With speeds upto 4.7 mach. Also the land and naval version is 450 nautical miles with speed 4.7 mach. Also it hits with an accuracy of 1meter square

Brahmos can fly as low as 5m above sea level and mach 3 with 140nm range which is in the lower end. It can also lock on target after launch independently and has defensive manoeuvres before strike. Latest version of it is mach 4.5 capable and 220 nm range. India has ground launched anti ship variants which is enough to prevent anyone approaching 200nm.None of it seems to be factored in. A 450nm version and smaller version with sukhoi carrying 3 brahmos will be developed by 2021 end.
India increased range of its new in production Brahmos including air-launched ones to *400km* or 215nm, but limits the export version to 290km. Brahmos can be programmed similar to YJ-12. It flies just 7m above sea level to skims the sea, occasionally climbing to 30m to seek target and can do high G evasive manoeuvre before hitting the target. At what exact distance it becomes sea skimming after being launch from maximum range of 400km is unknown. The Moskit, replaced by P-800 Oniks on which the Brahmos was based, could fly 120km at 20m at mach 2.0-2.5 in the early eighties.
Not a fair fight. The Indians didn't have a AWACS aircraft and The Chinese STOBAR carrier was given an AWACS which it can't operate. So do a rematch with the Indians having atleast 2 AWACS, plus were is the god damn Indian Navy??? Add a few ships to the blues man!! The BRAHMOS is also underrated here.
How can the reds have aewacs and that too a land based ones? While the blues have none despite being closer to their shores. Also I think cap sent a wayyy smaller number of aircrafts, like in the Pakistani attack against Russia, Pakistan had 20 Jeff’s and india here despite having a fleet of MKIs 2 times larger than the Jeff had the same number of aircraft 20. and also you sent 20 Falcons which is almost 1/4th of Pakistan’s fleet, send 1/4th of India’s MKI fleet and the outcome would probably be somewhat different.
Where are the Indian Aewc? Rafales should be able to pick up the PL15 with its AESA radars, much quicker, given that the PL15s have a passive slower radar and have never been used in a real war, this simulation lacks accuracy!
In my opinion we the Indian should learn more by running this simulation repeatedly. Don't worry if we lose in this. We will learn what we should not do in the war. Or to win it. And aultimately it is the man not the machin who win the war. And we have a good experience of fighting the war what the Chinese don't have. They have this simulation only ... don't worry in real life the outcome is different
The Indians didn't have AWACs off Mumbai but the Chinese had a non-carrier AWACS off India, well actually the Black Sea between Ukraine, Turkey and Russia. Very strange game! But it is good to see that Chinese have solved the problem of putting J15s on a carrier and that the Indians forgot to use their carrier, their AWACS or subs
Compared to the other game scenarios this one was absolutely one sided and lacklusture. The improper modding of indian air force fighters is to blame. Somebody needs to tell those modders what indian aircraft are like and how they fight.

Keep it up and let our enemies rejoice thinking that they can shoot down world's fastest supersonic cruise missile out of the sky with that ease!!! LOL!!!
Obviously Brahmos can be shoot down, its far from the fastest and there are plenty of SAM systems in the world that can shoot it down, several in China, why would someone not be able to shoot it down?
@@umasankarpal6958 What exactly is it I shall prove? That many missiles are faster? That modern long range air defence are well capable to shoot down supersonic targets? I would gladly do this, but first, why can’t they shoot them down? And for your information, I do not use Chinese sources, so don’t try to point finger and call it propaganda.
@@MrCastodian That implies!!! If one can shoot down a missile with supersonic range with a supersonic air-defence missile, then the question is what is about rcs?? What is about reaction time?? And most important question is what the capability of the present defending country here?? If you can not defend your argument, no point in arguing with you!! I rest my case!! Period!! 🤣🤣🤣
@@umasankarpal6958 obviously on can shoot down a supersonic anti ship missile with a supersonic air to air missile... You can even shoot down hyper sonic missiles, how do you think ABM missiles work, or ASAT missiles? And RCS is not that low in missiles like this, Brahmos is not a stealth missile, they are not that stealthy and they generate an huge heat and the distances are relatively close. And reaction time depends on the missile you use to shoot them down with, if you fire OTH missiles like S-300F, HQ-9B, SM-2, SM-6, Aster, Barak they can start targeting the threat from max distance is they are detected by OTH radar or AWACS/AEW. If the ships don’t have OTH and AEW they would have about 30-45 sec of reaction time. And volley fire? All modern air defence ships have the capability to launch several missiles simultaneously, no exception, they can track hundreds of targets, launch multiple missiles and engage with multiple missiles, and if they are active guided or are IR guided they are guiding them self towards the target. What kind? S-300F, S-400, Barak-8, Aster-30, HQ-9B, SM-2, SM-6, all long ranged missiles that can intercept missiles that fly in supersonic speed on low altitude. And how they operate? That’s depending on the situation obviously... What the capability of the defending nation...I told you what can intercept Brahmos and Brahmos like missile, USA, U.K., France, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Spain, Italy, Russia, China, India, Israel, all nations that can intercept Brahmos with ship based SAM. Not even close. The PL15 can not match the homing capabilities of the Meteor and have not been battle tested. Even the Chinese say that at most, it will be effective against AWACS, not smaller targets.
Imagine if there could've been a multi-role missile... It would truly give birth to actual multi role capability. That missile could hit aircrafts, ships, stationary targets, hell even missile itself... Lol
The amount of explosive needed to destroy an aircraft vs the agility of the missile vs size of target are all different.... So while to meaningfully damage a ship it will need a heavy warhead at the same time target size is large and not agile.....so its possible to carry a large warhead..... Not the same scenario for aircraft
@@tanmayhaldar7565 that's why small Nuclear warheads with fragmentation would-be best for multi role missiles, it would destroy aircrafts as well as take out warships with 2 almost, and would be agile too. Could possibly have smaller size too.
Hey Cap, Great Scenario but the Blue side is not modelled well at all. This scenario needs a Rematch. Brahmos didn't go sea skimming and were slow. Indians also lacked an AWACS. Also consider that Chinese wouldn't have such a huge land based AWACS but in real life they would only have helicopter based AWACS like Ka-31. The Rafales didn't fire their Meteors correctly like the PL-15s. Su-30s also should have done CAP/Fighter Sweep after firing Brahmos. Also you could also add ECM pods to the Indians side. This scenario seriously needs a Rematch because it is very realistic in a future war between the 3 countries.

Pretty funny & inaccurate, brahmos are capable of flying as low as 5 mtrs or 15-18ft from surface , with very low radar visibility And can engage on target with multiple trajectories and can make independent maneuvers at even +3 mach. Remember it's a fire and forget missile. And yeah there is a brahmos NG(next gen) variant already which is lighter and smaller than first gen brahmos.
Brahmos is actually developed as land to land and land to sea applications, so there will be a naval variant shore based bhramhos will be eagerly waiting for it's enemies to trespass into it's zone... 🤫 Recently India tested a 800km extended range shore based bhramhos successfully... And 1200 & 1500kms are on the way, even a hypersonic one is under trials ... 😇
The brahmos is a sea skimming missile(5-15 meters above sea level), it won't do traditional attack, so it can only be detected by ships raders by 30-45 km and around 80km for enemy awas. 1 big thing is brahmos don't travel in straight line like traditional anti-ship missiles, it changes it's trajectory slowly and constantly (kind of spiral/S maneuver) during the final phase of its flight, making it the most feared and best anti-ship missiles in the world. Also it's speed is 2.9 to 3.1 in final phase Mack speed, not 2.8. Another thing is brahmos range is heavily underrated ( actually more than 250km for NG/air launched variant currently in service). Next, iam so suspicious about pl15 missile's range and also possibly its speed. Chinese always like to hype/lie about their equipments. There was no AWAS support from indian side, that's a big drawback. More over how can those Chinese or any awas spot a Rafale with that much distance? Those Mirage and mig 29 can be spoted in long distance, su30 at around 150 to 250 km , the Rafael can only be spoted by those radar when only the Rafale is in dangerously close proximity (Its the best low RCS in 4th gen fighters). In a real life scenario india is most probably gonna deploy 3 su30mki with brahmos anti-ship missiles and 2-3 Rafale for electronic jamming in close proximity (optional), both in fly low configuration. And use mig 21 bison(4 -8 in numbers) as a bait/formation breaker, then followed by a 7-9 Tejas/mirage 2000 fighters(fully armed for A-t-A compact), both fighters in fly high configuration for diversion. A possibility of using decoy drones are there for overloading the enemy Rader by indian air force. Mainly unlike in game, in real life there will be proper coordination and formation among figher jets. In game, simply travel straight and fire missiles. But anyway, I know the game has lot of limitations. And I admire your effort to make a scenario with in these limitations. Good work guys. Hope you will redo this scenario with same adverseries soon with proper mods with accurate range, speed, characteristics and damage model for each assets. ❤️ From india.
It do make a traditional attack, most missiles in the world travel on that altitude, and it can be detected earlier, the "horizon detection" apply to standard radars deployed on ships, but if you have airborne AEW or OTH radars they will be detected earlier. An radar that are elevated at 50m can detect a target at 5m from 35km distance, if an radar are at 1000 meter they can detect the same target from 128km and if the radar are at 5000 meter they can detect them from 276km. And Brahmos does not change speed after they get closer, they have a constant speed of Mach 2.8 and they cant do some S manoeuvre in the final phase, thats against the laws of physics to make turns like that without thrust vectors or thrust vector engines, Brahmos does not have that. And Rafale may have a good RCS compered to many other fighters, but it will still lit up the radar from long distance, this are fully armed fighter, and Rafael are close to 1.5-2m2 RCS, easily detected by all AWACS you can think of, especially in a scenario were the enemy know that a strike are on the way, they can narrow the search area. And the numbers of fighter you are mentioning are not a serious threat to a Carrier group, to few planes, would be suicide mission, india would use way more assets, but no decoy drones, that does not India have. You cant overload radars with this small amount of assets.

Instead of discharging everything I said because iam not Indian try to face the points I mentioned instead. Answer to the things I wrote, what was incorrect? What did I say that was wrong and why so?
@MrCastodian bro, what you have said is pretty much true, but only for std weapons. Brahmos is not any ordinary anti-ship missile. If so y even the friendly nations are giving their respect to this weapon? Y pak and china is honey trapping and hacking in to indian network to know more about this missile. Here relevance of your questions "if no one gives out exact figures, how do you know?" Is gone. You said that awacs can detect fighters from 250+ kms. True, but Awacs is a germ. In a big scenario, taking out enemy awacs will be the primary target/priority. Only after taking out enemy awacs using long range missiles, that a military will even consider entering into 100km proximity of enemy battle group. And fighter jets don't even need to enter 200km proximity of enemy war ship, it's there to tackle enemy fighters/missiles etc that emerge to defend. You stated brahmos is not maneuverable and only do 2.8 Mach. so my question; Is trust vectoring the only way to steer a flying object? Brahmos do use s maneuver to dodge enemy radar lock. And from block 3 varient it's speed is able to reach 3.5 Mack. Also if an enemy awacs is out of equations, the radar on warship will only able to detect a missile in about 40km. Plz remember brahmos is capable of 3.5 Mack, which is more than 1km per sec. That means a warship would have less than 35 seconds to react. Among this a total of around 15 sec will be taken for a state of the art radar to detect, confirm, track and finally lock on to this missile. So about 20sec left for Sam missile to launch and travel towards brahmos, but still intercepting a mach 3+ missile is a hard one and have no guarantee especially with s maneuver of brahmos. Also all Sam missiles will not be launched at ones, atleast 1 missile launch per sec. Ciws will have only 1s to shoot down brahmos, so it's out of equation. Rafale will not be used in air to air or air to surface mode, but for electronic warfare/radar jamming. Now I do make a false/mistake statement about at least 17 fighters will be used. A rethinking, asking to experts and research made me realise it would take 6+ su 30 with each brahmos to hit a Chinese carrier. So here you are correct, less than 25 fighters will be a suicide. Bro Thanks for that. ☺️ About drones, hope you are aware of nations using drones as a target for air to air or surface to air missiles to do target practicing. Which can be launched from warships/aircrafts/boats. These drones can not only be used as decoy/saturation/radar overloading but also can be used as electronic warfare/missile guidance platform/reconnaissance/situation monitoring drones. Also u said the carrier group will know a potential direction of attack of Indian Air force and will direct it's radar more on that specific direction. Absolutely bad idea, any army can attack it's enemy from any direction. U never know from where. So puting more power on one direction will make mission of indian air force easy, so india can stab Chinese carrier from back. It's all about knowing your enemy well and devising a plan accordingly. Most of these battle figures are based on US Navy aginst brahmos. So aginst Chinese, expect half good performance than US in dealing with brahmos. The soul target of brahmos is not advanced US or European war ships. It's china mainly and pakistan. So a missile which is a true challenge for US will be a hell for china.
The word in naval circles is that the Indians are having issues getting the Brahmos to work correctly and have secretly brought in a team of Pakistani engineers to help them figure it out.
china has the awacs (god knows how did it came there ) india doesnt have an awacs despite figthing on land meteore is new and underrated su30mki is new and has issues with damage no ships on the indian side mig29 didnt even lauch one cuz the pl15 are on god mode no specat jaguars whi actually does anti shipping role bramhos is like iam gonna go to the space flying at 3000feet(in reality its gonna be 100feet above ) by the way there are way more ships than the missiles
The RCS of the j-15 and su-30mki is 5m2 at 125 miles. The rafale is about 1m2 at 125 miles. So technically the chinese should not see the Rafale until it's too close. But then it's a game.
The RCS isn't dependent on the distance, but on the wavelength and the aspect of the AC relative to the radar. I don't know about Su-30MKI's RCS, I imagine it being classified, but the basic Su-27's front aspect RCS is above 15m^3 (something like 20-25, IIRC). Later variants got some RCS reduction treatments, but 5m^3 seems a bit too optimistic. Rafale was designed with RCS reduction features in mind, but even at single digits, it would not be a hard one to detect at long ranges by AWACS or ship-based radars. Also, the RCS figures are typically given for clean airframes, while each air-to-air missile on external store can have something like 1m^3 RCS just by itself. And there can be a dozen of them on a plane. So really, no reason to consider RCS in such scenarios at all.
@@max2008abhi RCS in any given aspect is a physical value, and it is a result of materials, shape and size of an object. In other words, it is a constant: neither distance nor any ECM capabilities have any effect on the RCS itself. What you are talking about is the detection and tracking ranges, which depends on multiple factors, target's RCS being one of them.
I don't know how you assumed the altitude of Brahmos at 1100 feet, in reality it is less than 40 feet as they are classified as land grabbing cruise or sea skimming missiles, so your analysis falls flat. Also PL missiles have range but their accuracy is debatable. Another scenario you missed is presence of Indian Navy, how come a strong Navy allow its coast to be blocked and remain idle? If this scenario is assumed to be real the Indian Navy will take effective control of Malacca strait nd block it conveniently block supplies to China.

Just a little talk
WHy would Pakistan have a Carrier group let alone a mini version of a carrier ship anyway ?
Bhai ye programmer hi chutiya hai
Brahmos can fly as low as 5m above sea level and mach 3 with 140nm range which is in the lower end. It can also lock on target after launch independently and has defensive manoeuvres before strike. Latest version of it is mach 4.5 capable and 220 nm range. India has ground launched anti ship variants which is enough to prevent anyone approaching 200nm.None of it seems to be factored in. A 450nm version and smaller version with sukhoi carrying 3 brahmos will be developed by 2021 end.
Will ask programmers to fix it.

I don't know much about aircraft but without the funny man in the plane with the big spinning pizza ontop, team blue never stood a chance!
Even a plane with no spinning pizza and a simple stationary banana would have done. Talking about the Netra.
Russia increased the range of the Brahmos cuz its Russia's engineers and missile specialists who created it and idian providing financial support

@@MrCastodian That implies!!! If one can shoot down a missile with supersonic range with a supersonic air-defence missile, then the question is what is about rcs?? What is about reaction time??
You don’t know what you are talking about, you actually believe that India can defeat every nation in the world with a missile that no one can intercept, entire US and NATO vs India and India would easily defeat them all, just because you have Brahmos that no one can shoot down...
And you also believe that Russia have been able to defeat every single navy in the world because no one can intercept Russian supersonic low flying missiles...
Wow...
What did I just watch I’ll never get the half our back. Great post

Imagine if there could've been a multi-role missile... It would truly give birth to actual multi role capability. That missile could hit aircrafts, ships, stationary targets, hell even missile itself... Lol

@@rnash999 yes sir 👍

About drones, hope you are aware of nations using drones as a target for air to air or surface to air missiles to do target practicing.

Plz refer this video. It's not accurate, but close.
Anyway have a nice day bro. ☺️
31 seconds ago...wow im early. Nice vid tho
Need to redo with improvements..! Keep it up
The word in naval circles is that the Indians are having issues getting the Brahmos to work correctly and have secretly brought in a team of Pakistani engineers to help them figure it out.
awkward...
china has the awacs (god knows how did it came there )
india doesnt have an awacs despite figthing on land
meteore is new and underrated
su30mki is new and has issues with damage
no ships on the indian side
mig29 didnt even lauch one cuz the pl15 are on god mode
no specat jaguars whi actually does anti shipping role
bramhos is like iam gonna go to the space flying at 3000feet(in reality its gonna be 100feet above )
by the way there are way more ships than the missiles
Exactly
@@ashokiimc he meant to say that in this video he didn't put an awacs for India..he never said that in real life they don't have an awacs bro
@@defence-zone7826 yes but its unfair and one side
@@hemanthreddy3860 yes .man... absolutely 🙄🙄🙄🙏🙏
@@hemanthreddy3860 How is this one sided??? The Chinese are almost perfectly fine and have 1000 unfair advantages
@@Struktualnyj But the rafales have a much better ecm and eccm than the su-30 that aids in the RCS reduction.
What is paxitani 🐷 fleet is doing there between two lions🤣👌even they have just 1-2 fleet of Chinese donated 🤣🤣🤪
