I am a nephrologist and kidney doctor who believes that the best tool to reduce the burden of kidney disease globally is not medication, lab tests, or even genetics research. Instead, knowledge of kidney disease can best protect our kidneys.
This channel is part of the kidney disease awareness project I have worked on for years. It started with long conversations with kidney patients in the office and hospital. During these conversations, I was perplexed to see patients’ lack of knowledge about their kidney disease.
To fill this gap, I developed a blog for kidney disease patients, “Kidneyblogs.com,” where patients could find the correct information-and access a nephrologist for kidney-related questions. But then, I realized that not all Urdu- and Hindi-speaking patients could read English, and many preferred listening. This revelation led to the formation of the RUclips channel you will explore.

I am diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure which resulted to damage my kidneys to stage 3 my question is since(4 weeks) I went onto high blood pressure medication I feel weak and lightheaded can I take some Minerals to get some energy or will that harm my kidneys further
I am glad you shared your experience. Please ask your doctor about this condition, he may reduce the dose of your medicine. Taking extra minerals may help with dizziness, but that's not the final solution.

thanks dr sahb as usual, very informative video. the best thing about you videos is that what a patient reads online (like me), your videos always provide additional information with much clarity and simplicity which was missing. it happened to me after almost watching every video. thanks again. I have appointment with my nephrologist tomorrow, and i will discuss with her the benefits of using 3rd medicine, Finerenone (not Eplerenone, as its steriodal MDA) in addition to farxiga and valsartan. Also, I remember in a comment previously u suggested to use maximum dose for these drugs, as i am 35/m with 30+ eGFR currently, i will discuss it too. because i have consulted 5-6 nephrologists in the last 2.5 years here in saudi arabia, 1st started valsartan 160mg, 2nd reduced it to 80mg. one prescribed calcium supplements, other got me out of them as i developed heel spurs (not sure if it was because of using calcium supplements or not). anyway, kidneys are tricky, one needs to study and learn more, and experiment within safe limits to check what suits him/her.
I am glad that my videos are helping with your understanding of kidney disease. And I really appreciate that you take so much care of your own kidneys and read literature, as well as watch videos to understand your kidney disease. Yes, there are always deficiencies in the written literature, as well as in videos. This is the reason I recommend at the end of my videos that always crossed check this information with standard sources because sometime During making off videos, you either skip some board or forget to mention it. And as for the doses of these drugs, yes, they should be maximize unless patient drugs, some side effects like low blood pressure or high potassium etc.

Very informative video sir mary father CKD stage5 patient hain ain ko bar bar infection ho jata hai crp increase hota hai urinary tract infection ho jata hai....phir doctor antibiotic injection start karwaty hai ten days phir test say pata chalta hai k infection kam hoi but phir 10 din nahi ho paty again infection star culture report positive..... humble request what we have to do now what's the right solution...mai app ki videos dekhti hoon you are a great person and give awarness about patient as well as doctor which keep us away from reality

Ji Kapoor sahib, I am extremely sorry that I am delaying the English subtitles but it is for a reason. Doing English subtitles takes about 6 to 8 hours for one video. What can i do if my BP is 105/65 ? Can i still take ARB ? My doctor had given me ARB & SGLT2 but i have reduced my salt intake and then excercise regularly. Now , should i take salt and then take ARB ( Telmisartan 40mg ) or just stop it ?

If Hco3 is normal in blood then no need to take sodium bi carbonate tablet as in my case I saw doctors differing in this point though my hco3 normal n creatinine marginally high like 1.40?...nd should sodium bi carbonate tab prescribed without checking Hco3?

Sir last 2years my ACR up and down with 300 to360 critinin 1.45 I used all medicine but not reduced my protein levels below 300 what can I do
First of all I doubt that you have used all the medicines. If you have, then keep using the maximum dose of both medicines. Even if your proteinuira remains around 300, still these medicines will slow down the progression of your kidney disease.

So Arb or calcium channel blocker which better for kidney?my Acr in urine normal...but one nephrologist prescribed ccb n another Telmisartan n both r reputed? ...why should we not get confused?
If you dont have CKD or Proteinuria, any of these medicines are okay. If you have CKD or proteinuria then Telmisartan would be my choice.
Sir g me primary membranous nephropathy ka patient hu jo biopsy se diagnose hua. 2 saal tk cyclosporine or deltacortril khai. To protein narmal ho gaya hy isky bad tacrolimus or delta khai lekin protein phir 1 gram k qreeb ho gaya. Ab dr ne delta or cellcept suggest ki hy. Kia 2.5 saal tk ye medecine khany k side effect nhi hongy. Kia mea ilaaj sahi chal rha hy ya me dr change karu kindly zroor bataaie ga. Ali hassan from chiniot

I've have nephrotic syndrome proteinuria for last 10 years. Im now 21.
I've always been given prednisolone and immunosuppressive drugs.

If you have nephrotic range proteinuria, yes you can use all these medications. but if you are on steroids and other immunospressive medications, I'm sure your kidney doctor suspects a specific kidney disorder. I'm not sure why I haven't you done boxing so far to confirm the diagnosis

Sanjay agar aap India mai ho tu you guys have the other two drugs to reduce proteinuria- SGLT2 inhibitors and Finrenon. Ask your doctor why is no starting you on both these drugs. He or she should be aggressive to bring down your 24 hour urine protein to less than 300mg/day.

SIr platelets ka CKD say koi taluq nahi hai. Make sure that you dont have liver disease.

Iam 60 with ckd stage 3.
I had CABG in 2013. Iam a BPH patient too with vericocele. My current medication Cardace 2.5, moxovas 0.2, Amlodac 5, ecospirin av 10 /75, Alfoo.
Cr 2.6, uric acid 7.6, urea 51.9, sodium 139, Pottasium 5.16, urine microalbumin 995.
My body mass is reducing lose muscle weight loss
Pls advise the correct medication. Hair dye causing sever allergy too, is this a cause for for ckd?
HTN from the age of 35 and BPH cause for ckd?

My diabetic and BP is under control HB1c 5.7 critinin 1.42 to increase 1.67 after taking this medicine

You should see a nephrologist and take the pregnenacy care with him along with your gyn.
Gyn refers to Nephrologist. Nephrologist says just control BP no serious issue.
But BP is normal
While proteinuria increasing so quickly.
