Hello Doctor! I’m 28Y/M and I was diagnosed with HTN this year January 6th. My BP was 140/90 and my Urine ACR was 50 mg/g. My serum creatinine was 1.04 So my doctor put me on Valsartan . After 1 month ot taking the medication regularly my BP is now stable around 120/70. And my ACR is 9.89. My serum creatinine is 1.20 (Elivated by 15%) My doctor now added SGLT-2 inhibitor after seeing this . Can you please tell me how am I doing? What are my chances to progress into CKD? And also, do I have to continue taking these medication for lifelong?
Also my current eGFR is 82.4%. Could you please tell me about my prognosis? I have been dealing with anxiety ever since I have been diagnosed with HTN.
I can tell only this that you are on good medicines. But my only question is why do you have BP at the age of 28. You should undergo thorough work up and modify your lifestyle. If there is no secondary cause, and your bp is essential hypertension, then you should be able to reverse it with lifestyle modification and then get rid of medicines.
I have H/O smoking for last 1 year and I am overweight for my height and age. I know these are not ideal and also I used to have a not-so-active life style. You rarely need a medicine for high K levels. Just use low K diets. You can find all kind of charts of dietary K on google.

K 5.3 is normal. You can watch your K in diets and it should be okay.

Yes, you need to see a good nephrologist who can figure out what is causing high blood pressure. W me use clonidine sometimes, but it is usually for dialysis patients.

I’m 28Y/M and I was diagnosed with HTN this year January 6th. My BP was 140/90 and my Urine ACR was 50 mg/g. My serum creatinine was 1.04
So my doctor put me on Valsartan . After 1 month ot taking the medication regularly my BP is now stable around 120/70. And my ACR is 9.89. My serum creatinine is 1.20 (Elivated by 15%)
My doctor now added SGLT-2 inhibitor after seeing this . Can you please tell me how am I doing? What are my chances to progress into CKD? And also, do I have to continue taking these medication for lifelong?
Also my current eGFR is 82.4%. Could you please tell me about my prognosis? I have been dealing with anxiety ever since I have been diagnosed with HTN.
I can tell only this that you are on good medicines. But my only question is why do you have BP at the age of 28. You should undergo thorough work up and modify your lifestyle. If there is no secondary cause, and your bp is essential hypertension, then you should be able to reverse it with lifestyle modification and then get rid of medicines.
I have H/O smoking for last 1 year and I am overweight for my height and age. I know these are not ideal and also I used to have a not-so-active life style. But, since last month I have started regular walking and healthy diet and quit all bad habits. Im hoping to make progress and get rid of all those medications.
