I am a CKD 5 patient on dialysis from last 3.25 years. I come to know my kidneys problem during December 2014. I was healthy and I have no blood pressure and sugar problem. One day I felt headache and checked my BP, it was too high. I don't remember exact value now however it was around 180/95. Then I consulted a doctor. He taken few tests including RFT. At that time my creatinine was 3.2. The he referred my to a nephrologist. I continued taken treatment from 2014 to 2020. My dialysis started on 7th November 2020. You are absolutely right that everyone should check the sugar and BP twice a year to avoid kidneys problem. Sometimes there are no symptoms of blood pressure as in my case. I come to know when my kidneys have damaged. Now I am on dialysis.
Thanks for sharing your exprience. You nephrologist did a great job holding your disease from 3.2 onward for seven years. I hope he is also maintaining your good dialysis. please do as much as you can to spread the message of kidney diseas awareness. At least get all your family members and friends screened for BP, diabetes, and CKD.
@@kidneyblogs Sir your way of communication is so good. I want to give one suggestion to dialysis patients to take their medication as per their conditions. Normally BP is decrease after dialysis. Therefore, first they should check their BP then take medication. If BP is already low, which happens most of the time and they taken their routine medicine completely it can create problem. If BP is low after dialysis they should reduce their medicine.

Thanks for sharing your experience. You got it right. These videos are just to help you understand you disease process better so that you can manage it better. You dont have to compare your doctor to any other doctor. as long as he is doing the right treatment and managing the goals right he is a good doctor. No every doctor can emphasize the lifestyle as much as I do because we dont learn lifestyle in medical schools. But both patients and doctors need to learn about lifestyle for themselves on their own.

Hello Dr. Sb. I am a post transplant patient residing in USA. Due to nephrotoxicity resulting from cyclosporine, I am being considered for Belatacept infusion. So far I meet all the criteria to proceed with the infusion, pending financial clearance. I am a little concerned as there is a higher risk of developing PTLD. I have a strong faith in my transplant center but just wanted to see how your experience has been with this med, if any. Thanks!
Ji Syed sahib, there are always side effects with medicines. Blatacept definitely has higher risk for PTLD, yet we use it all the time. And remeber that you lifestyle has more to do with developing a cancer than some drug. WIth your strong faith, maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Sir, I have family history of ckd & I came to know about my proteinuria about 20 years ago with gfr above 90 , without high BP, now remained on ckd 1 more 10 years & now gfr between 55 or above 60 sometime , BP slight high ,

Yes you should. i already see that you didn't mention your proteins in the urine. If it were ever checked or not. That what nephrologists do. And lastly, you should try to reverse your diabetes and hypertension with lifestyle changes.

4. I would also like to know much about Urea, Uric acids and Urates. Also I would like to know about Iron deficiency. Does it also affect kidneys? What are the side effects to be Anemiac as this is also caused by kidneys.
You many times have discussed healthy food, but what are those? As one vegetable or fruit may be helpful for one disease, but not for others.

Thanks for sharing your experience. You got it right. These videos are just to help you understand you disease process better so that you can manage it better. You dont have to compare your doctor to any other doctor. as long as he is doing the right treatment and managing the goals right he is a good doctor. No every doctor can emphasize the lifestyle as much as I do because we dont learn lifestyle in medical schools. But both patients and doctors need to learn about lifestyle for themselves on their own.

Very good v.log. I suggest that the Pharm Stores may introduce a service for BP and sugar screening on payment of reasonable charges. The Lab.are charging crueling for test reports like RFT or A-I.

Hello Dr. Sb. I am a post transplant patient residing in USA. Due to nephrotoxicity resulting from cyclosporine, I am being considered for Belatacept infusion. So far I meet all the criteria to proceed with the infusion, pending financial clearance. I am a little concerned as there is a higher risk of developing PTLD. I have a strong faith in my transplant center but just wanted to see how your experience has been with this med, if any. Thanks!
Ji Syed sahib, there are always side effects with medicines. Blatacept definitely has higher risk for PTLD, yet we use it all the time. And remeber that you lifestyle has more to do with developing a cancer than some drug. WIth your strong faith, maintain a healthy lifestyle.

sir I think you shoudl measure your proteinuria immediately using one of the tests in this video. You may need to see a nephrologist too if you have proteinuria more than 500mg
