I used to take it once in every 6 days by mixing it with curd/dahi while having lunch. 3.when i took it for 6th time(on 21st February )i started seeing froth in my urine then i stopped it. I took it one more time after 1 month. 4.Its been almost 6 months now i came to know that its proteinuria. 5. I have already started brisk walk and some yoga 10 days back and reduced my sodium and sugar intake to some extent. 6. What should be my course of action now. Plzz help??

You should be worried, and for multiple reasons. You dont know the diagnosis of you CKD yet, and you are not on appropriate treatment. You should immediately see a nephrologist and should undergo full work up and then treatment.

You you are right. if a person has no protein in the urine and his eGFR is more than 60 he doesnt have CKD. However, if he has some RBCs in the urine, he has ADPKD, or he has poorly controlled diabetes and blood pressure, he is at a very high risk of drop in his eGFR. So thats why this second group is considered stage 1 or 2 CKD.

Dear dr, if a person has high cholestrol and high uric acid and also finds a borderline low egfr ~60-65 Does this mean this person has CKD and should he see his physician or should he consult with nephrologist? The person is a male in late 40s.

this is your first video which has made me confused. or may be i could not understand what you were trying to explain, i will rewatch this video. Mt takeaway is simply that my diagnosis is Iga nephropathy, which is one of the glomerular diseases. Protein/urea leakage is the primary effect of kidney damage in this case. Normally, people/we start calling kidney damage/issue CKD once creatinine start remaining above 1.2. In my case, I was diagnosed with hypertention in 2016 with protein & RBC leakage in Urine but My Creatinine remained within normal range. I dont know if the 2-3 tests done between this period were giving wrong results, or i might not have creatinine above 1.2. Only in 2021 when I did Lipid Profile, First time Creatinine appeared to be 1.9 and I was diagnosed with CKD after Biopsy Confirmation.
You got it 100% right. And your case fits 100% what I explained. You have a condition called IgA nephropathy that causes proteinuria and ongoing kidney damage due to inflammation inside the kidney. Initially, your Cr was normal and remained so until a certain level of kidney damage was reached, and it then that it showed as Cr 1.5 or above. So the point I am trying to make is that you had kidney disease since 2016, or even before, but your doctor called it kidney disease only when your creatinine was 1.9, and now you consider it a real kidney disease and started worrying about it or make any changes in your lifestyle and all that I talk about in my videos. If I were your doctor, I would have told you in 2016 that you have really serious kidney disease, so please control your blood pressure and make all the healthy lifestyle choices starting starting right now, 2016. Does it make sense?
@@kidneyblogs Absolutely, Thanks for explaining further. My GP unfortunately diagnosed Kidney Stones (Wrong US, because I never got them in other US tests). Protein Urea and RBC leakage with High BP could be due to Kidney Stones. Unfortunately, I chose to deliberately not follow it up. This is what stress do to you. I rationalized this behavour by thinking that all this high BP etc. is due to my stress and it will go away once i am stress free. Also, I was young (27 at the time) so never though of any serious illness

No, biopsy just tells you what is causing proteinuria. Whether treatment for that cause works or not, there is no gaurantee about it.

Technically it is CKD. but you need to be fully evaluated before any comment. See a nephrologist nearby.

You you are right. if a person has no protein in the urine and his eGFR is more than 60 he doesnt have CKD. However, if he has some RBCs in the urine, he has ADPKD, or he has poorly controlled diabetes and blood pressure, he is at a very high risk of drop in his eGFR. So thats why this second group is considered stage 1 or 2 CKD.

this is your first video which has made me confused. or may be i could not understand what you were trying to explain, i will rewatch this video. Mt takeaway is simply that my diagnosis is Iga nephropathy, which is one of the glomerular diseases. Protein/urea leakage is the primary effect of kidney damage in this case. Normally, people/we start calling kidney damage/issue CKD once creatinine start remaining above 1.2. In my case, I was diagnosed with hypertention in 2016 with protein & RBC leakage in Urine but My Creatinine remained within normal range. I dont know if the 2-3 tests done between this period were giving wrong results, or i might not have creatinine above 1.2. Only in 2021 when I did Lipid Profile, First time Creatinine appeared to be 1.9 and I was diagnosed with CKD after Biopsy Confirmation.
You got it 100% right. And your case fits 100% what I explained. You have a condition called IgA nephropathy that causes proteinuria and ongoing kidney damage due to inflammation inside the kidney. Initially, your Cr was normal and remained so until a certain level of kidney damage was reached, and it then that it showed as Cr 1.5 or above. So the point I am trying to make is that you had kidney disease since 2016, or even before, but your doctor called it kidney disease only when your creatinine was 1.9, and now you consider it a real kidney disease and started worrying about it or make any changes in your lifestyle and all that I talk about in my videos.
If I were your doctor, I would have told you in 2016 that you have really serious kidney disease, so please control your blood pressure and make all the healthy lifestyle choices starting starting right now, 2016.

@@kidneyblogs Absolutely, Thanks for explaining further. My GP unfortunately diagnosed Kidney Stones (Wrong US, because I never got them in other US tests). Protein Urea and RBC leakage with High BP could be due to Kidney Stones. Unfortunately, I chose to deliberately not follow it up. This is what stress do to you. I rationalized this behavour by thinking that all this high BP etc. is due to my stress and it will go away once i am stress free. Also, I was young (27 at the time) so never though of any serious illness
