Love your You Tube videos and free advice. I try hard to make strength exercises part of my day. Even have weights by my desk and turn my camera off and do a few reps while listening.
There are other ways to live longer. I don’t do strength training, or go to the gym. I took the advise of scientists publish in Frontier in Aging Neuroscience several yrs ago that the combination of exercise, mental stimulation, social engagement make dancing a good choice for holding off effects of aging. I am 86 yrs old ,I still dance to date 4 to 5 times a week, various dance style such as Quickstep, Viennese waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Slow waltz, Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Salsa, Bachata, Argentine Tango, West coast swing, Hustle, Brazilian Zouk etc.
Thank you for your comment. There are some great research articles out there on the many benefits of dancing and it sounds like you have a great repertoire of different dance styles. Strength is also important and we believe challenging resistance training is the best way to build muscle mass, strength and bone density.
@@bemobilephysio Reistance training is good, but there is no socializing, no brain stimulation and to ME no life enjoyment while exercising. I go to dance conventions, dance congress, dance camp, While exercising I am enjoying life by dancing with women from all over the world. Every person has a different view of how to live longer, it’s a matter of choice. I prefer to hold a very rhythmic lady while exercising, others enjoy life by holding a COLD object.
Wonderful people, thank you for reminding us how to be mobile!❤
