Every week I recommend a handful of the best movies on Netflix, Amazon, HBO etc. so my subscribers never run out of good movies to watch on streaming. Spending 10 minutes watching one of my videos could save you hours of searching, hours that you could otherwise spend watching good movies on streaming that you otherwise might not have ever watched or even known about.

Nope was trash. The rest are decent or pretty good
@@JakeWolf2408 nope was a very appropriate name. When asked to see this movie say nope.
Soo many people gated and I mean hated the Northsman. I loved it I believe it to be a art film not a movie .
@@koffinNAILSI loved “The Northman” Willem Defoe and Ethan Hawke are National treasures. I loved Ethan’s portrayal of John Brown..
Badassery? LOL 😅
Top Gun Maverick… SO GOOD! Saw it in theaters 3 times! I don’t think I’ve EVER done that in my life!
So much better than the original.
Did you see it in a cinema with the enhanced sound?
I thought it was turgid, predictable and clichéd. I couldn't even get to half-way through.
Excellent FLICK CONNECTION Darren. I have particularly enjoyed seeing Wrath of Man. Many thanks for sharing with us. Love your presentations and your insights into each movie 👍👍👍
Movies are such a Wellspring of good energy for me in a life that is not gone so well, and Mr Van Damme has turned me on to so many great releases I would have never checked out on my own. Thank you
Air was actually a great movie! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
You are the best recommender of any subject, I have ever seen on RUclips! Even for movies I've already seen; after I hear you describe them I end up wanting to watch them again .
"The Lighthouse" damn near broke my Spirit!!!!! I'm going to check out "Northman"!
I had to reply to your comment because I felt the same way about "The Lighthouse". "The Northman" is a little less soul destroying, but not by much. I loved both movies, but "The Northman" was more fun.
Kelly Brown Eric T replied to your comment!
Great list, I mostly agree. Just switch nope with terrifier… then remove nope altogether😂.
Jordan Peele is so overrated. His movies are ok, not amazing. Nope had great idea but it was boring.
Agree. I was very unimpressed with Nope. It did nothing for me.
@@aeromedical6776 me neither. Snooze fest.shame.
This is great! Been getting increasingly frustrated with Netflix but rarely venture off platform because I really like the playback speed toggle, but I just finished The Boys finally and haven't had a good look around Prime in a while.
I love the little subtitle tag things you added under the movie titles!
Vengeance was terrific!!! Some great characters, some really funny scenes, and terrific performances. My viewers enjoyed it when I showed it.
"Vengeance", is my surprise movie of the year for me so far. This movie had surprising turns. It is way better than I expected and I give it 4-stars, for comparison, I give the all time classic movies 5-stars.
Yup!!! Saw it a while back and was so surprised how good it was.
I was pleasantly surprised by The Outfit, not my typical movie, but wow, very well done, great storyline
Excellent content as usual,my go to movie and TV reviews
And we will certainly keep watching them. You are at the top of your game sir, keep up the great work!
The more I watch the black phone the more I like it. But it does fall a tad short. Ethan is so great in horror movies.
Air was a fantastic movie! Great job to Ben Afflleck and all the actors!
Cujo with Cats…High Art Carnage.. MAN you’re awesome. GENIUS
This Captions at the start of each review Saves me Tons of thinking if I’m going to like a film or not, it sorta bypasses critical thought, I just sense ok this the type of vibe the movies has, and paired with a bit of info I can tell if i care to watch…
Honestly it seems like nothing, yet I think you’ve struck Gold, it might be hit e miss sometimes but you got talent for this, you’ve seen so many films your repertoire for coining the one sentence is definitely worth putting up there. I’d go as far as saying your totally tapping into the collective subconscious.
Wrath of Man was a great watch! Also had a cool haunting soundtrack at times. Love your content man
Saw AIR & The Northman in the theaters, both were great movies. I actually worked for Nike back when Jordan's came out, they were all the hype. Sound track for this is awesome.
Prime has less content than Netflix but for me they have better movies.
You mean less free content...I can find most movies on Prime, even though they're not free...not so much on Netflix
Way better movies
After a week on any one of them, they got nothing.
I don't know why streamers haven't learned the lesson of cable don't fill your channel wouldn't garbage don't be stingy with content give a lot of content but a lot of quality content that's what people want why wouldn't you do something that's in demand?
I was extremely impressed with Air, great movie
Thirteen Lives is probably one of my all time favorite movies within the last 5 years. Such an incredible & insane story. I'm not claustrophobic however on some of the scenes I had to look away & turn the volume down. I felt like I was in the caves with them. It's so realistic watching them moving through spaces that were so small they has to tank their air tanks off. I highly recommend this movie.
Completely agreed. The “Thirteen Lives” Amazon version of the Thai cave rescue is by far the best film about that tragic event.
In fact, it stands alone as an incredibly well rounded and fast paced thriller of a movie. I enjoyed it and felt a connection to the boys and the divers
Thanks for the list. I have added Ambulance and Nope to my Prime watch list 💯. I probably would not have watched either one had I not heard your recommendations 🏆
Ambulance is painfully bad
Guy Richies The Covenant is my current favourite. This will definitely make your next list haha. Can't wait to see what else will be on it.
Vengeance was a great recommendation. Thank you Darren!
. thanks again!! :)
The black phone left me blown
Away
Boom
Roasted....
???
Always look forward to these lists. Thanks
Ooh, ooh! The Outfit is a gem that's not to be missed! So glad you highlighted this flick, Darren. The Northman shocked me first time around but became a fave after a second round. Can't lose either way with 2 helpings of Alexander Skarsgard. I loved the quirky Oscar winner this year, but Top Gun: Maverick deserved that top spot. For sheer entertainment, movies just don't get any better than that.
The Outfit is first rate.
Very well said, 7streetoak. The Outfit gave me hope; unlike Nope which made me feel like a dope (for surrendering 2+ hours to it).
The Outfit is a merging of old school and new school and done really well. That's rare these days to learn the rules like a professional and then break them like an artist. To merge that and be true is what art is about. Outfit could have been in the 50's or the 2020's or black and white and still would have been been just as good. I kinda think they should have done it black and white but at least, I get 1 out of 7 movies I try that are really good. That requires research and movie recommendations like flick connections because I'm working on suicide, lol, lost my time to find these things. Flick recommends a lot of stuff for typical people to enjoy but finding the Outfit was because of him and took me away from the horror of life for a little bit. I'm actually to go re-watch it, cancelling my subscription to Scentbird, lmao....they don't give you much and always out of what you end up liking or limit what you can try like it.....very difficult to cancel your subscription as well.....They lock in to things or send you around the world to cancel with reply emails and all kinds of stuff. Legit company, I guess....but way too difficult to cancel and had several issues. I felt like Flick deserved me trying them for the 3 or 4 out of 100 recommendations I've taken from him that I enjoyed but wasn't a great experience.
Love your stuff -- always good 👍🏼 always what I’m lookin for - so ,, thank u 🙏🏼!!!!!
Thanks Darren, another great list
"I felt like I smelled good enough on my own"....LOL
Another fantastic list!
You had me at Nope! I keep going back to it to watch and pick up the subtle tale of this movie
Even though I don't have half of the platforms he takes from this guy is still my go to man for viewing recommendations. 👍
I agree with you on Nope, I loved it so much better the second time. And the best part of Maverick was Glen Powell.
Nice list.
And I love ScentBird too.
Excellent job as always brother
DUDE!!!! ‘TETRIS’!!!!! It’s a phenomenal pick… smaller; yes. But worthy of the list.
The Northman is based on the same folktale that Hamlet was based on.
Bruh, my husband and I watched 5 so far on this list....OMG...unbelievable!!
“The Outfit” is understated elegance.
Nope is DOPE.
Huge Bond fan. Read the books all the time, watch the films around Christmas. No Time to Die is the absolute worst thing to happen to the Bond franchise and I'll never suffer through it again
Amen to that. Garbage. Such a sad ending for daniel craig😮
Great list. Thanks!
Just watched Air. Great flick!!
He clearly has different tastes from my own. Of all 15 picks, 'Ambulance' is the one I would suggest you watch first. He's right in that it is not big on dialogue or plot development BUT it keeps your attention non-stop. Ezia Gonzalez alone is worth the watching!! She's perfect in her portrayal!!
I'd pick "The Outfit" as the top choice and only include "Nope" as a last resort if I couldn't find anything else because I honestly think it was a highly hyped "WOKE" propaganda .
The attack in Top Gun Maverick is the trench run from A New Hope, just with Navy fighters.
Amazon has acquired mgm's entire catalog so a few of the movies you mentioned are in are in that catalog just for future reference
Ambulance is so very good - I've been telling everyone I know. I think this is Bay's best film... I hope this is the start of more good things to come!
Yes! Thirteen Lives was a great movie.
'The Outfit' is a stunning movie! Nice choice...
I'm glad you put that little nightcrawler cut in, i was about to fight you.
AIR is a great movie. Saw it on Prime a few weeks ago. Highly recommend it.
I’m never disappointed with your lists. Good work. 19:58 Goodnight.
The outfit, enjyed watching it and probably would not have found/watched this without your steer on this one! Thanks
Fantastic list per the usual I was not thrown in excitement in the beginning of AIR but it was a fantastic movie. Glad I watched. Reminded me of that new Tetris movie.
You killed it with this list brother 👍
Great info, thanks!
I’m not a big bang bang shoot ‘em up fan, but Ambulance was outstanding.
Thanks for the upload
Ticket to paradise was cute. Very predictable but still liked it. Just a laid back one to watch
Loved Top Gun Maverick ☺️
I love Top Gun Maverick and seen it quite a few times now. Unfortunately it isn't on prime in the UK.
Wrath of man is so good too.
I've not yet seen Air or Nope so will check them out.
I LOVE the word you used, Badass-ery!!! 😄
Dude, could you ask Prime or Netflix to give us "Cypher" plz...? That's one of the greatest scenarii I ever seen, a great sci-fi/action/thriller unique mix, and ultimately the most phenomenal love story you can imagine...
Great list Darren, loved 13 lives from one of your earlier recommendations- amazing movie!
Hey, did you know that RUclips lets you break up the video into sections? You should try that next time so I don’t have to waste time watching the whole video 👍
I have Prime and had no idea Top Gun Maverick was on, lordy. Thanks!
Man D! I am so happy I’ve subscribed yrs ago.
I am not much of a sports fan but Air was good movie!
AIR was so good I didn't think of it as an all-talk movie until this review. lol
The Outfit is very British, that is to say, they don't have money for effects and locations, but they do have damn fine actors and can tell a story. I loved this one.
If you don't enjoy Top Gun: Maverick you are batty, commie, or grumpy.
I believe I'm one outta those two.😮.ah well.
@@Maya_Pinion I guess me too...or maybe I just like the first one too much :-) Honestly the wait for the movie was ridiculously long so it was hard not to have high expectations
Great channel, always great selections and well said thoughts. Still, I have to say NAY to Nope.
Have to agree "Top Gun Maverick" is OUTSTANDING!
1st off U rock Sir, and content appreciated. I go back and forth with Netflix, membership wise but they still do well for the moslt part. Solid list as always, and Prime usually consistant with offerings others may not get.
Jordon peele movies r always a little weird i usually dont enjoy but ill try rest of list but have seen most due to ur channel. N i agree about top gun loved it
Whenever I ad a 'free' movie to my stuff to watch later, when I come back to watch it later now I have to pay for it. Conspiracy?
Love the names “cujo with cats” very nice
Loved the Black Phone, they just won the Fangoria award for best wide release.
Also loved terrifier 2 had one of the best scenes when she is in the Halloween store and the suitcase keeps getting moved around.
The original 1986 *_Top Gun_* is also included w/ Prime.
Way better movie
Of all the movies on this list I've only seen a few but of those I have seen Nope and it was one of if not the best movie I saw last year. Great story and characters. The acting was very good and it was just amazing all around.
Maverick was okay but a tad over the top and required too much to make it feel believable. If you know nothing about Naval Aviation or how planes really fly, in combat it's pretty good.
The Outfit was a delight. Really good.
Stop lying lol was sooooo boring omg did we watch the same movie?
Just Fast Forward completely and Max Headroom Appears
Thanks again! I will watch Terrifier 2. I loved The Northman, although I think it needs a big screen.
You mentioned Nightcrawler, which I consider a great movie with an even better central performance (from Jake G).
I watched The Northman on a 42" and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Vengeance is legit. It should probably be #2. Also, do I have to be the first person to claim the Nope was just okay? It felt like an average M Night Shamalan, which is still fun... but everyone has been acting like Nope is the best horror in years (while we're currently in a great era for horror).
Rating THE LOST CITY over ANY James Bond film is criminal.
I saw it and the entire time I'm sitting next to my wife I was wondering when I got to escape
Beast is up my alley. Im going to watch it now.
My wife and I thought Nope was a very bad movie. We came close to walking out of the theater on it.
Totally agree with your comments on "No time to die"... it's o.k. but not the best James Bond movie and I hated the ending...... "Ambulance" was a great movie.
The Outfit was a good watch
As usual, you provide us a very useful service.
But the background music this time is … bad.
You had me at Otch
The Black Phone was decent but the closing song by The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Anton Newcombe makes it the greatest movie ever made in the history of motion pictures, but maybe I’m just a huge BJM fan .
My son and I picked this movie apart because we love it. And we came around to it being about an alien lifeform that was trying to keep to itself and not bother much of the humans. But gets attacked and lashes out and winds up dying.
Which movie?
@@historian3290 Nope. Sorry didn’t realize I forgot the title.
@@patrickaquilone Ahh ok. I thought it wasn’t that bad. Slow burner but it was an okay watch.
Terrifier 2 is a beautiful, poignant, and inspiring work of American cinema.
Agreed
Wrath of Man is one of my favorite Jason Statham movies ⭐
A lot of picks are rent or buy where I am. Amazon changed their format a while back and started to charge extra for what use to be included in their service at the same time raising rates. They took away free movies and started charging for them, they took away 3 years of my playlists and downloads for music. As the competition grew they got greedier. In a time where inflation and unemployment is soaring, guess what consumers will drop first.BTW, Netflex did the same.
Was a little underwhelmed with the black phone but it was ok . Love Ethan hawk
Terrifier 2........🤐(still speechless)grandson tricked me into watching...lol
Super super weird 😵💫
Shamefully almost none of these are available in my country
"Cujo in Africa" is a great way to put it!
