I have this exhaust on my C8, it is a huge improvement, in both sound and performance. Having a mid-engine corvette is definitely a step up from my C7 in both engine performance and on the road performance as well... Corvette did a superior job on the C8.
HOWdy LUCORE, WOWSER = that's a pretty HUGE "diaper" under a new CORVETTE !!! WINDAGE tray Tray TRAYS !!! CRAZY amount of "STUFF" under there >>> Thanks COOP ...
I have to agree with you Rich. The mid engine design is not where it’s at. To me they have ruined the corvette . Prefer the old School Corvette. But great job switching out the exhaust. 💯👊👍
It's not that it's not a great piece of engineering, just wish it had been badged with something else besides Corvette. The exhaust REALLY woke this thing up for sure sound wise, before you could barely even hear it at idle, gives a great sound pulling away too. Thanks for always supporting us Terry!
Looks like a much more efficient pipe and muffler combo. Does that car have the Mercury marine 4 cam engine in it. Those engines intrigue me, I would like to take one apart to see how much of a debacle it is. The coyote is very difficult for the average guy to rebuild so, it is not merely gm that has technology issues. Ford stuff is hard for the average guy to degree the cams in.
The 4 cam engines aren't coming out in the Corvette until the C8 Z06 and the C8 ZR1, this is an LT2 powered unit. You are absolutely correct the Ford setup is vastly more complicated to work on, going back to the DOHC 4.6 motors compared to the LS family. Holding all those components in time while doing what you need to do, you screw that up and bad expensive things happen.
You do indeed, in the shop for an engine swap. We've done a number of those vehicles over the years, they just don't usually make it on camera anymore.
Rich looks like the best part of doing the exhaust was the test drive afterwards
Always gotta test and verify! ;)

I like the new exhaust notes, that sounds much better!
Yes indeed! Definitely a good improvement!
Sounds absolutely wonderful. I’m guessing the Honda and its friend aren’t in for an alignment 😂
Actually yes the stance vehicles were here for alignments! Most shops around here won't even touch modified suspension cars so we are here to help!

Rich I enjoy watching you work on things but that's an expensive handlebar on that bumper cover
I see a mazdaspeed in the background

That thing sounds mean.
Definitely changed the note of thing for sure and for the better. This probably won't be the last of these exhausts that we do I imagine
Only thing wrong with this beautiful car is the dumb steering wheel
