OEM C8 sounds wonderful..............................IMO
My C8 did not have the NPP exhaust and I felt that it wasn’t quite loud enough. I got the AWE touring at Carlisle and also had them put on the black heat shields over the silver OEM. It is way louder than the NPP exhaust and I have the black tips too. Looks amazing! No valves, so I can’t change the sound. No CEL ever either. I was afraid that it was too loud. I’ve had it for 2 months now and really like it. Thanks for the video!

I honestly love the sound of my stock c8 exhaust, the ONLY thing tempting me to get an aftermarket system is the change of the tips. If i could just replace the tips i would so just do that lol
Sounds great Mike. Honestly I think I’ll keep my stock performance exhaust. Seems like not that much difference for the cost and headaches. Looks like you had a good time filming. Keep up the awesome videos

One of your best videos to date. That had to be a ton of fun to make. The AWE sound is SWEET. Great side by side by side comparison. All three have their qualities but I think the fact that you no longer have to deal with the engine light says it all. Captain America is whole again.

Sounds great Mike. Didn’t know AWE made them for the Corvette. They make nice exhausts for the STI and yes, same black tips. Love ‘em. They have this really nice sound.

Mike, you obviously put a lot of work into this video, and it is much appreciated! I can definitely tell the difference in the sound, and the AWE exhaust sounds awesome. I also liked the Armytrix sound. Is it worth the difference in price for the difference in sound quality? I guess that is for each individual to decide. The sound I have with the Z51 exhaust is sufficient for me. The question for me would be (if I didn’t have Z51) would I go with the factory NPP exhaust or order without and go with aftermarket like you have? I don’t know. If I went with aftermarket, I will say that having the functional valve would be a definite consideration as to which one I would likely choose, and I would prefer to have it. In all fairness, I’m sure the sound would be much better in person. Also, at my age, and having been around jet engines for ~ 80% of my adult life, I doubt that I still have 20/20 hearing. 🤔🤦😂. Awe sounds sweet for a touring exhaust, I'm gonna get an awe track for my redeye. Armytrix reminded me of an Audi V8. Awe American wild exhausts. 👍

I still believe the 2023 exhaust sounds different than 2020-2022 stock exhaust! The 2023 stock exhaust sounds good. It's just so damn heavy!
I'm still researching Borla (GM approved) and LMR exhausts! But it's helps to get your C8 allocation first 🤣

I agree....I have a 2023 Z51 and I think the stock perf exhaust sounds pretty damn good. I could be wrong...but isn't it a Borla exhaust? or at least designed by Borla for GM? I might be imagining that....but I thought I read it.
I like the AWE for sound the most, but if I had a C8 I imagine I would still want the control to have it quiet when I want it to be.

Dont get performance exhaust , just get the AWE Track , is better than touring
Love the AWE exhaust line. Too bad none of them have NPP valve capability. That's a deal breaker for me. AWE track version with NPP would have been my choice.

If I go Aftermarket, I want to select an exhaust that does not trigger the Check Engine Light or would void any Warranty!

I have yet to hear an exhaust that's worth spending 4-5K over stock for 15 hp and a slightly different tone.

Do you lose your warranty with any of these?
No you do not. You don't void the warranty unless you change/eliminate the catalytic converts. These exhausts keep the stock cats in place.
Not to hurt anybody's feelings but the Borla exhaust is bad to the Bone.

Armytrix all day - they include a obd2 adapter that omits the cel - problem solved
