That’s why I took the older crowd that could have caused me trouble, hoa stuff, for fast and loud rides, starting with underpass exhaust blast into a rip up the merge ramp onto the interstate . Problem solved. Sweet vette you have there!
Being an aggressive exhaust, it has the best kind of build up to each shift. One might call that drone, I call it ‘climbing the power-band.’ When in Touring, no annoying drone.

You didn't mention anything about the exhaust valve relearn. It's my understanding that any new exhaust system on the C8 requires a relearn or the car will eventually throw a check engine light. The dealer usually has to do the relearn although I believe some scan tools will allow you to do a relearn yourself.

@@Donslife Just to be safe you may want to check with an ODB II scanner to see if any exhaust codes have been set. I've seen where the scanner shows codes before the check engine light comes on. The prevailing consensus is that anytime you unplug the NPP valves a relearning needs to be done regardless of the position the valves were in when unplugged.
Will you say this is significantly louder than the stock exhaust? I just got my C8 not long ago and I want a super super loud exhaust. But I'm very new to car I don't know if mbrp would be a good choice. After cold start when you drive with z mode on, is this one way louder than before?
great video just wondering if you had it out on the expressway yet is there any droning noise ? on my 5th gen Camaro it was bad around 110-120 km . and was there any #'s on gains ?
Good news is no drone. Had it on every conceivable rpm range, gear, valves open and closed. As for numbers, I believe it is negligible in gains. Effort was put into the sound first 👍
Hey, can you tell me how much of a difference does it make? I’m debating whether to change my stock performance exhaust I’m not gonna lie. I don’t hate the stock sound it just way too heavy backed up system this car needs a high flowing exhaust. What was your thoughts before and after?
I wouldn’t go back to the performance exhaust, which I also liked. There are more cracks and pops with down shifts and it screams pretty good now. No power gains unless you get a tune, but for the cost I think it is a great option. Remember it is a now drill, no cutting install, so you can switch back and sell off separately if you ever sell your car.

I've got AWE on my 23 AT4 and am considering sticking with AWE for my 25 HTC Z51 (sitting a status 3000) but MBRP sounds good too. If MBRP didn't send you their exhaust, what would you have chosen? I like the low muscle car sound for the 6.2s vice the higher raspy sound (Corsa). Just curious. Thanks for all your content! You've saved me some time and headaches on my AT4 mods. Hey there! There is a significant difference from quiet and loud. I love my AWE switch patch on my BMW M4. That would be a good choice. The MBRP was on my radar as soon as I heard they were developing a valved version. You can’t go wrong with the MBRP if you want to retain the muscle car sound.
The rennstand adapters I need to lift my car are on a 6 mo backorder. So, that means I'd have to do the install wheels on. I appreciate your video showing that it's possible to do it with them on.
It should take a few hours or more if you have a helper. No issues at all with fitment. Keep a close eye on your valve positions when you install them on the new exhaust. You want to make sure that a code isn’t generated because a valve is not reading properly. It is fixable and no damage would happen, it would just be annoying.
It sounds great... better than stock imo.... I recently purchased a 24 Denali 1500 6.2 with the active exhaust. It seems to me it fully opens the valves when I shut the vehicle off and remains open after start up for a few seconds (when not in Sport mode) is this the same as your C8?
The way I understand it the C8 is programmed to allow for an open valve at the initial start up and then almost immediately observes the settings from when the vehicle was last shut off. Examples: If I shut off in myMode (valves open) and restart, the valves stay open the entire time unless I select a new drive mode. If I shut off in Touring (valves closed) or Sport (valves open), the valves will be open for a second or two during start and then the car will automatically go to Touring mode and close the valves. The only way to have a true cold start with these 3 settings is to shut the car off in MyMode with the valves open in my configuration for this setting.

Something is loose or making contact somewhere. Start with a visual inspection and have someone shake the muffler when it is cool and watch/listen for metal on metal contact. The rubber mounts should keep it floating. Otherwise I suggest contacting MBRP
I’d say no, but it is loud if the valves are open. It can have a drone sound if you were to hold the rpms in the high range for a prolonged period of time.
Of course in an enclosed area it will be louder. The comparisons were in the same conditions. You don’t have to believe me, but there is outside footage near the end of the video as well as other videos on the channel since the install. Microphones don’t do it justice.

Shut the car off in weather, tour or sport mode and it will start in tour mode the next time you start up (valves) closed

Just had this installed on my 24 C8. Getting vibration noise on acceleration. Any suggestions?
