But if if move the train to a different spot and it works there yo probably have a dead spot
To stop this from happening turn of the train for a little while
If you have same issues clean the track and wheels
To clean you could use some official track cleaner but if your like me and you don't have a hobby shop and you don't want to order it he i and alternate
Get some alcohol i use 91% get a towel you don't use pure some on there and clean the track
To clean wheels dip a cutip in the alcohol and clean the wheels

Since my layout has trains hauling nearly 15+ cars, when there is a short, I do not take all cars off the track, I just reset the breaker on my Lionel 180W Powerhouse "Brick" and that does it.

i have a 1960 marx lionel trainset, it only goes in reverse, but will go foward if i take the body off, any ideals?

It could be your E-Unit. The E-Unit controls train direction. If not, take it to a train store nearby. I dont think Lionel has parts for a 1960 Marx Lionel trainset.

I have a hand remote, not the transformer. My locomotive moves like an inch than stops. Something is cause a bad connection or short but I can't figure it out.

Maybe your track is dirty.. if so get track cleaner and clean the rails. That is probably what's making your train stop.

You didn't explain what to do if there is a short. Nothing on track and still blinking.

unplug the transformer and try again, or unconnect the wires from the transformer, or check if the wires that go to the track are loose, as that may cause a short.
