My idea of growing up with this kind of train action. Take all of todays sophisticated electric toys and put them in the dipsey dumpster. here is the Real American Toy that sustains for decades. Trains captured imagination and creation way back then many years ago. And guess what? Model Electric Trains still SUSTAIN the test of time. You make your OWN layouts and install your own accessories. Today Toy Manufacturers Dictate to you What they want you to watch. What you have to do with their type of games. Electric Trains permits YOU the operator to set up your OWN creation. Bring Back Model Railroading. thank you for posting this.

beautiful layout... I like what you did with the Trestle system where there wasn't enough clearance how you bridged them with wood panels... time for me to make some changes to mine. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think those tracks are O Gauge and not 027. My old O27 switch tracks were built differently then the O Gauge
You are right about that ! Keep it original!
That's how I prefer Lionel Trains be running on the original O gauge track. Have loads of it. Beautiful layout.
trains on any track run better than in the Box set em up and have some fun never stop running love my trains !!!

I can just see that F3 Santa Fe going right off that turn onto the floor.
WOW! a train set after my own heart. the overhead track WITH overhanging SWITCHES is wonderful to see that other lionelers aren't afraid to display the toyness of playing with trains. my trains don't hide that fact. Although I'm criticized for it, i like PLAYING by running trains, road vehicles, and river tugs to and from industry accessories. this interactive layout moves logs to be sliced and delivered by moe & joe to name one activity.

That was awesome. I thoroughly enjoy watching old model trains in action, and this was no exception. The detail in the layout is spectacular! You plan on doing anything new or adding to the existing layout?

Layout is nice. One question to all, why run most of the trains so fast, you really don't get to enjoy them passing by. To some of us, speed is not important as to watch it go by... note: grandkids wants to know, and so do I.... thanks, but wonderful layout... we did notice the B&M ran a good slow speed...but the Santa Fe F3's ,, whew,,,

1) is your 8206 Locomotive from the General Mills Fundamession years, like mine is? and has it had any gear problems, ? which mine has right now.
2nd) is there a train running underneath? and does it travel up to the main level and back down? which would be cool!
3rd) what size is the layout built on? 4x8 or 4x5 or_____?

What are the items covered in plastic?
Curious to how many transformer are powering your layout. Are you using ZWs, KWs or something else?

i have a vintage one olny goses foward and no lights
How did you fix them to where you can't hear the gears as they run ?
what size is your layout ??? ... how big is the overall space you have devoted to trains ??? ... so much going on it is hard to take it all in at once ... have to watch the video over and over ... let me hear from you

How do you run 2 engines at a time
Disappointing to not see the bascule and lift bridges operate during this.
WHY THREE TRACKS BEING USED ?
the one in the middle gives electricity power to the engines.
