Globe pumped out some sick cruiser boards recently. Also, on the shoe brands posting skateboarding photos/content... Vans took me 25 posts to find a skateboard.. Etnies, almost all posts are skateboarding. Some brands went super mainstream, some still support core skating.
I’m all for new companies. Early skateboarding up in into recent was nothing but California skating. Too many handrails and contest based. Now anyone can put out a part and a company which I think is sick. It’s the internet that’s changing things

Obviously Emerica Lakai eS etc has mainly skateboarding shit even vans but he's talking corporate with big budgets etc

Look man in my opinion. Starting from the age of 10 years old. This is how I think the scale of a skateboarders career should run.
10-15yro = FLOW YEARS
16 - 18 = AMATEUR (AM) YEARS (NO later then 25)
19+ years old = PROFESSIONAL (PRO) YEARS.
If a skater that's been regularly skating. On a daily basis from the age of 10. And being active in skate contests and events. In hope to seek a professional career as a skateboarder. But never got pass "am" or "flow" status by their mid 20's. Better be starting to think of the ALTERNATIVE to their career choices.
Because the odds of you turning "Pro" is pretty SLIM at that point.
I went to etnies right off the bat, skateboarding.
Every skate shoe company has skateboarding flooding their IG. I see Globe as exactly what he didn't want to represent but they probably are banking from those premade completes and would love to spend them big bucks for a ticket back into view of the eyes of skateboarders again.
He wanted to fuck with globe so he could bring back the puffy skate shoe the size of a snowboard boot
No-one wants to ride for Globe.
As an ex skateboarder, 34 year old career registered nurse, father of a 10 year old, and investor, I can seriously say that all of my anti- capitalist ideals, teenage animosity etc. was bull s**t and wasted mental space. In the end you have to become a capitalist for you or your family to survive. The worst you can do in life is grow up an anti- capitalist anarchist. You will wind up homeless and unable to help others. Better to own businesses that provide for you and others.
