I have been a BCA customer in Spain for years. I just bought my first car from BCA in Holland. The information on the registration form only stated that it had a noise when changing gears. The car arrived with a broken gear and after 5 minutes of having parked it in my garage with all the oil on the floor. I contacted them to complain and apart from being very rude, they told me that they would not take responsibility for anything. They are scammers.
Hi, thank for your videos, super informative and helpful! I just bought my first car from BCA but when tried to update on DVLA that I bought for trade, DVLA is saying it had been notified as sold. What this mean? Does BCA update the DVLA that this vehicle is on trade?
If you don't know what you're doing, these places are not for you. General rules are as follows; Don't buy when they say "dealer", "direct from dealer", "trade in", "sold as seen", "no v5", "only 1 key", "part service"........ in fact, you really shouldn't go there for a "bargain". Here's why, dealers only send cars there that they can't sell themselves, Sold as seen means if you drive it out and it explodes - - - tough, it's yours. No v5 = no log book, so it's more than likely a write off repaired badly and needs inspected by DVLA before you register it (and that ain't free). Only 1 key, good luck trying to get insurance as the previous owner probably still has the other one. Part service...... why? Oh, and do you know that "We Buy Anycar" is part of the BCA group - - - - any old banger can be sold to them and they ALWAYS end up at auction. If you HAVE to buy at auction, go online but do the following...... make any part of the payment by credit card, any amount, even only £1....... Section 75 of the credit card laws give the buyer 100% protection and if the vehicle is a dud, they will reimburse you the full amount of said vehicle. They then pursue the vendor for the full amount through the courts. My old man bought a car years ago from BCA, little did he know it was a cut and shut -------- even though BCA said it was fully inspected............. yeah right, inspected, by who, Mr Magoo
do you buy from manheim or other auction sites? plus upto what value do you trade from home? as i currently trade from home but was thinking of moving up to car values from 8 to 30k but wasnt sure if there are buyers who are cash due to me being unable to offer finance from home
Informative video, suggest any reliable auction site or place who don’t demand trade insurance as I am still waiting for my licence to reach 1 year so I can get a trade insurance.
These are the market guide trade prices, so if a car is in good standard with good paperwork then it should command cap clean instead of average or below. But it’s just a guideline, not an exact!
Great video, a nice follow on to see would be more to do with the pricing process, buy through to selling if possible please, buying, fees, transport etc.... Thanks!
It varies on many factors. i was 20 when I started and it was high because of my age, 4.5k back then. The best way to start is from home, keeps your overheads low!
@@BuySellCarsTV Thanks for your time making these helpful videos , on the insurance , I have been looking for cheap trade insurance , its really hard for under 30s , would you recommend any insurance broker mate , Thanks again for the video..
I had simpler question, I also want to start buying and selling smaller cars from home like 2 to 3 car per month as start but it's very hard to find insurance I can't even find anyone who covers under 25 years of age 😫, it's pain. And I can't find any video on step by step on how to register, get insurance, buy cars from, etc etc. It would be great if there was a video.
How have you found buying online (new) Vs live(old) auction format. And do you feel your being given your online purchase rights if you have had any issues, or are you getting the "sold as seen" vibes from BCA. Thanks
It has both pros and cons, but overall for me personally it is good and they have improved on condition reports as I guess they are focused on driving online only sales up now.
@@BuySellCarsTV I presume you've not had to make a condition complaint recently? As I'm advising people to make sure they know their distance selling rights for buying online, I've seen 1st hand vehicle's not fully described and customers not happy when they have then been told that they have purchased the vehicle sold as seen on essential checked cars. Have you experienced this?
BCA use to be a decent place to buy cars, Not anymore and buying Online is a complete lottery from bca. All through my trading life I have always bought on-site this way you see the car, check the engine, hear it, smell it, talk to the driver, you simply cannot do this online and experience in the trade gives you an edge at physical auctions.
What to look for: Do NOT trust the photo of the dashboard showing the engine running with no Warning lights or Engine Management lights (EML) on.That's because, very often these lights are turned off for the benefit of the photograph and the engine could be junk which you will discover when you pick it up - You have been warned. Good luck.
@@ZippyPenguinTribute hi zippy I work at BCA unfortunately and I've only stated what I have been advised that the general public can buy from BCA but have to go through support to have a new public access set up. If I have been informed wrong then I can only apologise. During the whole pandemic information coming down from the top has become increasingly scarce.
@@82mrbob Hi Robert, i am just going off the BCA website no mention on there about going through support etc only says what I've already said previous here.
BCA's got a lineup that could rival a comedy show - we've got foreign criminals, folks high on the cocktail of booze and cocaine, and a language barrier that turns English into a cryptic code. It's like working in a sitcom without the laughs. And let's not even talk about their "specialist recruitment" - more like a talent show for free labor. Sending an email there is like throwing a message in a bottle into a black hole - it never returns. Maybe they're using those emails as modern art, who knows? Anyway, I volunteered my skills, but they missed out on the chance for greatness. BCA is on a timeout from our services until they settle the bill for the job well done. So, in summary, BCA: where your career dreams go to take a nap, and health and safety are just fancy words in the dictionary. It's a comedy of errors, my friend!
Even BCA assured cars provide you some protection but all other categories are throwing your money away.BCA is a traders death trap.I will strongly ask people if you want to trade stay away from BCA they deserved to be banned from trading.
Absolutely superb stuff!
I'm dipping back in after a 25 year break from car trading.
Trade Insurance in place
Let's do this
Great video, but also take into consideration the cam belt, on age and mileage, as this too is a vital part of the correct servicing
Can you do a video about getting your trade insurance etc please
Nice work, top work for paying this learning forward.
Glad you enjoyed it
Very informative video. I am going to do this in the coming weeks. Hopefully we will see more from you.
Thanks mate. Good tips gonna use them when I start trading soon!
Good luck!
Do you also have to refer to cars as "motors"?

What do all the prices mean on the side of the page
Eg CAP clean, CAP average, Glasses Ret, Glasses Trd?
Thanks for the video

Hi can I asked how old are you and how many cars do you nkrmaky keep at 1 time 👍👍👍👍
Do you pay an additional fee to the hammer price?
Which ones are best vendors at bca?
is it possible to see how much a car was sold for?
No not unless you put a proxy bid on the car.
I'm trying to make an account but there saying you have to be a trader I want to do it privately !!!!
You don't mention you need Traders insurance before you can sign up to these car auction places and that costs £2000+ as i found out!!
Email the support, they'll set you up a public account.
@@82mrbob Nope, incorrect. We are currently not open to the general public until further notice

At present, BCA does not have any plans to re-open to members of the public.
Our sales are operating online only for our motor trader customers.
If you are a motor trader, please apply for an account via our website.
There you go TRADE ONLY!!
Really very informative. Where can I find you contact details.?
they are closed to public
