It's punk rock AF, but the sickest skating gets lost in the shuffle, announcer hyping everyone up to go fast but absolutely no chance of any roll away. Each to their own, but how there were no catastrophic head or limb injuries, I have no idea.
I agree with this. I can't believe the complete disregard for safety (of both skaters and spectators) on display here. Amazing to see some of the awesome tricks landed, but the whole thing was way too hectic and in large parts nearly unwatchable. I do enjoy some of the competition stuff Dan's put out but I'll be glad when normal service resumes to be honest.
Agree. No idea how people are willing to support Thrashers insane record of events further. This is not their first of this. I've seen more videos within the year of absolute chaos shitfests where people could have easily died

Nothing more natural than placing obstacles in the street. What a killer event. I've watched every video so far. Even replayed several parts. Good stuff Dan, and friends.
The rail that curved up needed a support leg. The well was probably my favorite obstacle. The long gap to the stairs was the gnarliest for sure though. Having those dangling chains was crazy.
It's just nutty how many people there are trying to skate these obstacles throughout this event who have absolutely no chance of ever landing a single trick. I wonder how many of them are drunk and how many of them are just stupid?

Dude that at the end was nuts. I was pretty capable on launchers when I was younger, I loved hauling ass down hills and hitting them or setting them up on drops or to rails or just on flat. Even if I knew I could get the length and height to clear that after they moved it I dont think I could bring myself to try id be too worried about what happened to dude in white and worse. Im not familiar with most of these guys other than Greyson hes one of my favorites but those other guys are all beasts too and im gonna have to look them up now. Hopefully everyone of them trying at the end got laid after that.
A 360 camera on an extended selfie stick would’ve been perfect for this event. And the iPhone (recording at the same time) would be perfect for the vlogging.
Kanaan is so much better than I realized. It really shows with these videos how everybody bailing shit and he consistently putting his tricks down.

Absolutely, just the highlight clips don't do this event justice at all. You need the build ups and the crowd reactions.
