It is confirm that earthbenders can glass bending in the new Kyoshi's novel but the technique is rare and forgotten like lavabending but I'm so excited if we can see that in animations.

Imagine if earthbending was real and how much destruction criminals could do or just how much it would mess with the ground in general by ripping chunks of earth and throwing it or just shifting it.

Imagine how terrifying it'll be if there's an earthbender that also learned the wisdom of every elements, they'd be able to rival even the avatar themselves
air can also do the same to some extent, i mean its basically telekinesis, actually if you think about all the 4 elements can do the same water can injure someone like fire via frostbite, make vapor (air), and ice (air) not really shown but Zuko has been shown to be using water bending moves for fire bending, it can also heal like water bending can, perhaps fire bending can also use lava bending due to the heat (i mean they can bend lightning, why not lava? and like i said Zuko has been shown to use water bending moves for fire bending), maybe they can even take away heat to solidify lava, and fire is very flexible and might be able to manipulate the heat around the air and air is weak against fire, as fire is fueled by the oxygen in the air, thus making the flames stronger
Earthbending has always been my favorite. It's so versitile. Sand bending, metal bending, lava bending. I imagine it can bend almost any metal element, we see coal (which is almost all carbon) be bent. Imagine being able to bend the carbon in wood or the calcium in bones.

I think "Earth Material Manipulation" is basically bending substances other than rock and dirt. That's different from metalbending because metalbending doesn't bend the metal itself, but instead bends the earth impurities within the metal.

I would want air bend or fire bend... my reason? I compress the element, due to one being gas and the other a release of heat, I can compress it a ton... and then let it explode in a thin line directed at my enemy.. or ya know.. explosions of expanding air or fire
The rock slide redirect that the Canyon Guide does, if you think about it, could've been a learned technique by studying waterbenders (like lightning redirect that firebenders can do) cuz it uses a more fluid motion than earthbending does. Plus earthbenders are more direct with their bending, so a basic bender would've created a wall or tried to hold it back entirely.
My only avatar fanfiction was about a lost firebender who found a group of sanbenders in the desert and together they made amazing glass sculptures... and had awesome fights of course haha

I've made a list of all the Sub-bending types I've seen. I have a feeling there's more but if there are, I forgot them. Fire Bending- Lightning Combustion Water Bending- Blood Swamp Earth Bending- Metal Lava Sand Air Bending- Breath Bending (What the LOK 3rd season enemy did)
I would love to hear a professional opinion from a geologist to see how far we can stretch earth bending capabilities. Metal in its own craft can be used for so many things like acupuncture. It'd be cool to see an earthbender do something lethal with like a micro piece of metal by manipulating it to move certain places in the body and killing the person without aggressive external force. That would be like another level of bending which requires anatomy knowledge. Also I'd like to see if they could do something with mineral rocks and gems. Maybe even see an industrial gold mining boom from the earth kingdom.

I’m an earth sign so I’ve always felt most akin to earth bending and I’m so thankful for that because the earth is so varied....wood, plants, sand, lava, metals, gems, mud, etc. I feel like earth benders should be able to make plants grow and use them for attack.
When Toph used earth armor, she left a space for her eyes. But why? She can’t see so it doesn’t matter. It might be so she can breath but she could’ve made a smaller opening so there’s less of a chance of her face getting injured
I think kyoshi was the best avatar, I mean she, Her original element would be earth but she wouldnt have a problem with air cuz her mother was an airbending master but then turned the life of a criminal, she could ask her mother for help to master the element. She was also decent with the other elements and she was the longest living avatar and couldve possibly have the longest era of peace, going into the era of roku ofc (until sozin ruined it).

I think Kyoshi is the most earth bending Avatar becuz of her lava bending & her ability to move tectonic plates.
Lava and sand have a physical mass, fire and air do not. Makes air and fire so much easier to use and therefore more efficient in combat
