This is why Water is my favorite. All the elements have various pros & cons and are useful in their own way. But water is easily the most versatile. Only people with creativity & imagination understand how OP it is to have control of it in all 3 states (water, ice, mist). Offensively & Defensively it’s not weak in any category. It’s also clearly the best element to have control of if you were going to survive in nature. And when you add things like Healing & Bloodbending to the mix… its pretty much perfect in my opinion.

Probably the coolest is mist step. Where a water bender creates a cloud of mist then creates shards of ice under their feet making it so they can walk on mist
I was waiting for the one where they use a huge amount of water and warped them around lower part of their body, so they fly. Like what Amon did when Korra used airbending on him.

Waterbending has a weakness. You need water or moisture available. There were lots of environments in ATLA and LOK that didn't have any. Give me fire or air. Those elements can be done anywhere at anytime.
Im sorry to say this but you forgot 2 VERY IMPORTANT water bending abilities. The first ability. The octopus form and the second. The time and bended snow around his body to make himself a snowman. The snowman trick was when he was training in the northern water tribe.

9:36 her water shield here failed because previously it was full moon, so all waterbenders were powered up and and fire benders basically lost their bending abilities, but here it is day again so the fire benders regained their ability to bend and water benders were less powerfull again. *ICEBENDING* should be a subset of Waterbending. Water is liquid. Ice is frozen and solid. Water’s dynamics and physical composition is different from ice. Much like Lavabending as a subset of Earthbending (lava is heated earth), Icebending (ice is frozen water) should be learned differently from water’s liquid state. I’d assume the Tai Chi movements and ebb and flow training for waterbending are meant for _liquid_ water manipulation. There should somehow be a different training for controlling ice, much like how the teachings for earthbending aren’t necessarily the same for metalbending and lavabending. Same thing with firebending and lightningbending. If you’re a firebender, it’s not given automatically you’d know how to bend/produce lightning. You still need to learn it. Therefore, if you’re waterbender, you still need to learn icebending. Learning waterbending should not necessarily mean you automatically know how to icebend.

They just use water to move faster on land. Cloudbending. Extraction of water from plants. Sweatbending Vinebending And Spirit water bending where they create a water swirl around someone/something and the water turns yellow(good)/purple(bad). Only Korra and Unaloq were seen doing this, because the technique is mostly spiritual, and less water based.

Great video. Except you left out a lot of things. Blood bending being one of them. While blood bending is not as big in the last aid bender is plays a key role in Kora with being a big back story for all seasons especially the first one. I also think that plant bending should have been included.

Savage Ford u don’t need water to make ice. There’s a thing called deposition, where vapour/gas can be converted directly to solid (ice) without passing through the liquid phase. That’s exactly how snow is formed
