our new chihuahua totally needs a sweater and my mom asked me to knit one. thank you for this video! itll totally be helpful, none of the other peoples videos were actually helpful but you explain it so clearly that im actually pretty confident to start knitting the dog sweater using this video!:)

I'm at the point where I'm comfortable doing basic things and socks, but was really nervous to try a bigger project like this and you gave me all of the structure and confidence to try it out. My dog loves her new sweater, and now I feel like I have the building blocks to do so much more!

I love all your dog sweaters!! I’ve been trying to do them all for my mom, and uncle dogs. It’s so helpful! I sometimes use a bigger need for my moms bigger dog that is a pit bull, compared to my uncle was Chihuahua. Both love being dressed up. 💕🙏🏼🥰🥰

As you know,I have pit bulls,BIG ones lol. My puppy is also a pit bull,,but only 11 weeks old and small enough to make one of your small size sweaters without having to do any dreaded math lol🤣
Btw......I love the curl from stockinette stitch for collars,,hems,and sleeves~!!

Thank you for this tutorial. I do know the basics for knitting, only easy patterns for hats, mittens, and scarves. I can crochet just about anything, however, I’ve not knitted a doggy sweater or other clothing as of yet but, since I have learned so much from your channel I will definitely take on the challenges. I absolutely love your channel. Sometimes I would just like to order your nice doggy sweaters from you “already made” lol.

How do I know how many stitches I need to cast off for the legs?
Depends on your dog. Measure the leg width, and do the math if necessary.
I am stuck! my burnat dog coat pattern says leg sections are worked at the same time using seperate balls of yarn. I don't understand it, yours seems easier.

I think she means using two circs instead of the magic loop. I use two circs for kids socks and find it easier than the magic loop method but yes either one will work for small circumference in the round knitting. By the way, you are an EXCELLENT teacher and your tutorials are great!!!❤

@@BeginnersLUCKraft Also I invested in Hiya Hiya 9 inch circs. I use them to make preemie hatsand small in the round projects. They would work fine for your sweater in xsm chihuahua size. So many different ways to knit, DPNs, 9" circs, two circs at the same time, magic loop, you have to find whatever works. I cant wait to try your sweater with the double cables and those little balls running down the back. You have a fan in me! 🌹
