I had an assignment I needed to do that I was procrastinating like crazy, but when I saw your video I put my phone down, and told myself I couldn't watch it until I finished my work. I just finished it in about 20 minutes because of you and your dog, so I just wanted to say thank you for being what finally made me finish my work. I love your videos and your dog's licking thing is adorable!

My suggestion is since you have left over of the same colored yarn 🧶 then you should make a matching sweater for you of the same colors to match Benson that would be so cute 🥰

Please do a beginner series!! So you can teach all us beginners on how to fix mistakes, start from scratch all of that jazz! I know you have done a few beginner videos but I’m sure I can and others, benefit from a step by step guide!

I’ve listened to the Harry Potter series 4 times, read them them twice and cannot count the number of times I’ve watched the movies. Listening to Jim Dale read is my favorite! When Benson curled on your lap it just made me smile. My schnauzer, Prudence must be touching me and I feel like you, it’s just the best!!! And that sweater is fabulous!

I followed this tutorial loosely, didn't buy the pattern, and so far it's coming out beautifully. I had to frog the tummy panel, and start over to make it more narrow for my dog, but as of today the torso/body section is all done. I have to start the neck portion and am considering picking up the stitches and knitting in the round decreasing as needed. Look up stretchy cast on and bind off methods for best results. Thanks for posting this! It was really easy, and my dog likes her new gear.

OMG! The more I watch, the more I'm convinced our dogs are distantly related lol from the constant licking, to the falling asleep at all hours of the day, to the the stretches, the need to be in bed (or look like they need to be in bed) and the desire to be super warm (to the point where there little bare belly will almost burn your hand) these dogs are long lost brothers and its hilarious. I especially love how they're both getting grey and both are really good boys. The Benson and Brutus tales. Lol. Sounds like a kids book

Luke has a licking disorder, too. Most probably from being parted from his mom too soon. Apparently that's a thing!
Jenna, this is amazing I’ve been looking for a tiny sweater pattern for my stuffed bear from child hood, he used to have a sweater but it got messed up years ago and I haven’t been able to find one. This inspires me to attempt to make one, wish me luck!

honestly can relate to Benson's licking disorder 😂, my dog is a miniature pincher and she DOESN'T STOP LICKING! sometimes she just licks the air and me and my sister has just called it her having the lickey lips! 😂

The Benson sweater is so cute and meets the most important criterion for boy dog clothing! 😂 Have you knitted socks? Marly Bird has a free pattern My First Socks in worsted weight, which goes pretty fast. Once you’ve knitted one and get a feel for the construction, you’re good to go on trying different weights of yarn, cuff down or toe up, and all sorts of heels. I wear my wool hand-knitted socks around the house and they’re great because they don’t need washed as often. But I don’t like them in my ‘runners’ (you can take the girl out of 🇨🇦 but you can’t take 🇨🇦 out of the girl!).

This may be totally out in left field but i really just had to mention this. I lost my 4 yr old dog to cancer 6 months ago and he was constantly licking like this. He did have a tumor pop up on his side which is what made me take him to the vet but i was told that this constant licking (especially their paws) can be a sign that theyre uncomfortable or hurting or something might be wrong. I just wanted to share that bc i see so many comments that their dogs do this too and seeing your pup do this was a super trigger for me 😢. Please dont freak out thinking your bb has cancer but maybe just watch for other signs, talk to your vet, or do some googling!

What kind of dog is Benson? I am considering getting a dog but need one who doesn't need a lot of exercise or walking because I am struggling with bad knees and poor balance. Thanks for your help.
I think sticking with smaller breeds is a good idea! I’m not sure what benson is but adopting a dog that isn’t a puppy would probably be best for your case because dogs who are younger have more energy and require more walking and playing to get that energy out. I have a yorkie and he’s 100% content with a short walk and then being able to run outside in our fenced in yard for a little while each day. Other than that he sleeps right next to me while I work.
