jenna!!!!! i started crocheting because of you and i’ve made it one week and so far i’ve made a pillow case and a bag! starting a bucket hat while i watch this 💕
You know how to keep us in suspense! The new color does look much better on you. My favorite part of washing and blocking a sweater is the dance on the rolled up towel. It’s so satisfying when the towel takes up the water.
Jenna: Being amazing and energetic (like always!) Me: sitting here crocheting my top and almost falling to sleep Jenna: talks about counting stitches and rows and reminds me that I should check where I am in my top Me: Finds out that I am 3/4 of the way done with it Also me: *does a lil happy dance* Edit: I finished it yaay!!
I think the color is beautiful. It looks great on you. I have knitted for years and I have never heard of an Italian bind off. I guess I will have to check it out
Agree about being wet and the act of showering it’s not for me, but, you know it’s a thing people do so I try. Also beautiful sweater and thanks for the tip of the yarn you used being warm because I also thought it would be a nice spring summer sweater so maybe I’ll wait to use mohair
Hey Jenna, my grandmother told me when i started knitting to just use some yarn as a stitch marker. So that’s a tip if you ever find yourself without them 😊
You really cracked it through thick and thin….great perseverance…it’s a little bit like watching myself ( quite often how I think and do stuff…even the tissue up the nose) though I haven’t yet dug out the knitting needles and how I started following you was via the crochet which I am quite addicted to…because I have had a resurgence of crochet for the last three years. I’m also awake early today hence writing this and letting you know that I enjoy seeing you make clothes and Benson is great too. I just finished a crocheted cardigan and you and your other video really helped me sort out a sleeve dilemma ….so thank you!
I finally treated myself with the interchangeable needle set (I used your link😍) and I made a sweater!! Your fishnet sweater inspired me to be creative and I love what I made😄 Thank you so much for your fun crafty videos💗
cuuuuuuuuute!!! I'm knitting a tank top while I watch this. I dye fabrics all the time (for work) and when you said you didn't like the colour I was like "Oooooo I hope she dyes it!" and you did and it's beautiful!
Ribbing used to be my least favourite thing, but learning continental style knitting has completely changed that. Would really reccomend learning it- for me it took some time to find a good way to tension my yarn and for my hands not to hurt doing it, but now it is the best thing ever-so easy to switch between knits and purls
the new color is super cute! The old color wasn't fitting right with you because it was very warm and your skin is cool toned and you look your best in cooler colors ❤ The final effect is super cute :D
This piece is extremely beautiful, looks great on you and is very sophisticated looking! Personally I think the color is perfect! I would be so very proud of myself if I were to make this. I'm a new knitter but you make me want to TRY to make this! My granddaughter lives in N.O. She would really love this I think!
I started knitting after binging your videos. I bought the needles you use too! They’re so unbelievably smooth it’s hard to believe they’re actually wood!
It came out so beautiful!!! I love the shade of blue you got at the end! And I’m proud of you for completing the project. I hope you are too! And I hope the ick stays away from you for a while!!! 👍
Ugh I just adore you so glad I found you! From a Fellow Canadian crafty bish! I also HATE showering… and I found it so hard to knit when I got sick I felt my arms and wrist were so weak and didn’t want to move the way they needed to do.
The juniper moon farm cumulus stuff is UNBELIEVABLE. I used it to make my son's first baby blanket, I got like a variegated pastel rainbow and I'm still obsessed three years later!
It turned out so great! And I'm so happy it didn't shrink in the hot water when you died it. I also love those patterns where you kinda construct the thing on the go instead of doing separate pieces. It looks and feels nice to do it like that and you can try it on in between to see if it fits right. And about the showering: I feel you! Getting in the shower is the worst!
I love it!! And yes, dye something is such a tiring process, especially when you finish the project and you got uh, maybe I need this to be a different color. But it turned out beautiful. Hope you're feeling better!
I love your style, it's soooo different from mine but it's so darn cute and fun! This mohair knit is so fluffy and sweet looking, I want to make something similar someday, puff sleeves are the vibe ✨ The way you power thru your projects for these videos is so impressive, and it really does inspire me to finish things I've been putting off. It usually takes me like a year to make a sock, then I never make it's twin lmao. That being said, I hope you don't mess up your hands and wrists too much, taking breaks is so important when doing these fiber crafts. My hands are always yelling at me when I knit for more than an hour straight lol
Pretty sure somebody else must‘ve mentioned this but the reason this sweater is so warm is because of the air trapped into the fabric. The mohair keeps the air in (although you used such a large needle size) and that‘s why this is probably just a fall/winter piece in the end. Was a bit shocked that you decided to dye the mohair, something I never ever would‘ve thought to do due to the silk content and that it could possibly shrink and stuff. Glad it turned out great! Lovely video as always Jenna, I have to subscribe to your channel 💌
Just found your account while I’m sick in bed and I feel you, who wants to shower when you’re sick? Love your personality so much, new subscriber here 😊💗
It’s a whole lot easier to put your knit item in a washer bag to begin blocking. Throw the washer bag in the washer on RINSE. You do not want to agitate or your item will felt. When the washer is on SPIN, your item will be safe in the bag and the machine will spin far more water out of your item than the traditional wet block towel dance. I can’t remember who I learned that from. It may have been from sally melville.
I liked the before color best, but the new color suits you. Thete's always a solution. It's fun to try things and see how they turn out. That's why you're an artist.
hahahahaah you are too funny!! The tissue in your nose!! I do that to, but mad props for doing it in front of all of the internet!! LOL NO SHAME!! Love it! lol
I had a bad head cold a week ago. I felt awful and of course didn’t shower. But I’m so impressed that you were able to continue to knit. I just laid around, blew my nose and slept! But the shower sure felt good once I was feeling up to it 🤗
I've been watching Jenna for a while now , and I feel like I can't even look at that specific ( idk the shade names lol ) blue, green and orange color without thinking "oohh that's a very Jenna colour " ahahah
Hey girl great video 😁 if you have any left over yarn I'd recommend mixing it with a brown or cream shade you like & It'll just give the fabric a nice halo or you could make a knitted project bag with it cuz those can be all sorts of colors 😁 Benson is so cute 😍
Hi just thought I would mention if l don't have stitch markers I just take a bit of scrap yarn or a bit off the end of my skein and tie a knot so it makes a little loop.
jenna!!!!! i started crocheting because of you and i’ve made it one week and so far i’ve made a pillow case and a bag! starting a bucket hat while i watch this 💕
my grandma taught me how to crochet! i hope you are enjoying your crochet journeys
💕
@@turkeyrosesgarden690 i gave up on the hat LOL i’m making a top now! my mom is teaching me and jenna is a lot also 💖
@@juliacochrane9754 aw! i hope the top comes out great!
I tried a bucket hat twice failed twice I might try again lol my needle and yarn were all messed up in size 😂
You know how to keep us in suspense! The new color does look much better on you. My favorite part of washing and blocking a sweater is the dance on the rolled up towel. It’s so satisfying when the towel takes up the water.
I love you so much Jenna and all of the content you make! You have inspired me to pick up knitting, crochet and sewing again and I'm loving it!!!
I have a similar experience to you.😄
Jenna: Being amazing and energetic (like always!)
Me: sitting here crocheting my top and almost falling to sleep
Jenna: talks about counting stitches and rows and reminds me that I should check where I am in my top
Me: Finds out that I am 3/4 of the way done with it
Also me: *does a lil happy dance*
Edit: I finished it yaay!!
Great Job !❤ also what top did you make?
This made me laugh. ☺
Me: Wondering if you are wearing the top you made 😂
I think the color is beautiful. It looks great on you. I have knitted for years and I have never heard of an Italian bind off. I guess I will have to check it out
you should do a “finishing all my unfinished projects” video!
Agree about being wet and the act of showering it’s not for me, but, you know it’s a thing people do so I try. Also beautiful sweater and thanks for the tip of the yarn you used being warm because I also thought it would be a nice spring summer sweater so maybe I’ll wait to use mohair
I''m watching this while sick and crocheting a blanket, got 6 rows done so far, and my first big project!

@@JennaPhipps Hi Jenna, thank you for your reply! Thank you for making my day☺️ I am going to enjoy knitting with the set💗
Oh i hate shower too in the winter and autumn. I love it twice in the day at summee though..kinda double it in advance of the cool days 😂
the original colour of the yarn looked beautiful on you !! so sad to see you dye it, but the end result was so nice too
your videos give me a lot of comfort and peace and that's exactly what im lacking the most these days. thank you
This was my favorite piece that you've made so far, I love it so much! Also great execution and I'm so happy that dying it worked out

Your so cute and I love your honesty! And sense of humor.
Benson is the cutest pup. When ever I see his ears doing different things I think of my pup dixie who never has her ears the same

omg she’s amazing!!
You can use little scraps of yarn as stitch markers in a pinch.
Beautiful wrap sweater! You are so talented!
Love this video. My daughter just asked me to make her a sweater just like that.
Finally, someone that likes pineapple on pizza. 🍍🍕
Literally my fav is extra pineapples and jalapenos I wouldn't want it any other way
Me too !!!
I LOVE PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA ITS THE BEST TOPING
I love pineapple on pizza, it so sweet and cheesy and saucy with the tomato sauce~ yum 😋 I order it with pepperoni as well
I don’t like it not because people say it’s wrong just because I don’t like pizza for some reason
You did a wonderful job
i am also sick while watching this and this made me get up and go shower, thank you jenna
I use my hoop earrings as stitch markers when I cba to get off the sofa and get my actual markers. A little lazy girl life hack for everyone ❤️
Genius, I will totally be using this!
this makes me wanna learn to knit so badly. i decided to try and invest into this hobby
I want that quilted blanket jacket 🥹🥲💔🧡

Congrats! The fit is perfect 👍
Jenna, thanks u for your video 🥺💗 I started knitting because of u.
(I am from Russia)
When Jenna lists off all her options for background noise/entertainment and I realize we are the same person
You should block your pieces when you’re done. It makes the drape beautiful but can also fix the short sleeves
YES wrap tops give ballet vibes
