Just picked up my 2022 moose brown 520. It is so cold here and snow up the ying yang, but I manage to get out for a little each day. I'm older than dirt but it makes me feel young again, I love it!

If you put tracks on it for that snow you might need to snorkel the air intake. After a big snowstorm at the beginning of April I had issues with snow sticking and restricting the airflow so I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to move the air intake upwards.

I've had my Pioneer 500 since I bought it new in 2020. Great machine and it is legal to drive on four wheeler trails because it has a narrow enough wheel base. It runs the same as the day I bought it. The 1st gear to 2nd is kinda ruff but in time you will get the hang of it. The clutch is easily adjustable and there are many great videos to choose from on YT showing you how. Once you have the clutch tuned your ride will be nice and smooth. It shall remain my daily driver until the day I die.

I just picked up 2025 Pioneer 520 as an impulse buy. It seems like a solid little machine. It should be fun with the grandkids!

We have a 2018 with 2700 miles and it has been trouble free. We ride in Michigan a lot and have been to the black hills twice. I like the 50" width. We go places larger machines can't go, but we can't go places they can so there is a trade off. I'm 70 years old with a bum shoulder and I don't think it needs power steering. There is no steering feedback at all.

Here’s a little review from a current owner. I bought my 500 at the end of October 2022, when I first bought my unit I won’t lie, I was skeptical and not very fond of it, but as time went on and I started personalizing it I’ve grown to absolutely love it. There’s two departments where the 500 really shines, it has amazing brakes, it could stop on a dime from 30 miles an hour. I’ve almost hit deer multiple times and the brakes have saved us from collisions. It also is an extremely good climber, it did not earn its nickname, the Billygoat, for no reason. I’ve got a little over 500 miles now spread over multiple types of terrain from pavement to mountain trails and it has not failed yet. The only thing I can find to really complain about is the suspension is lacking when things start getting rough, the walker Evans suspension upgrade is definitely in my sights for the near future.

Does the suspension lack at low speed, or more on the top end?

    • @bangingears5911

@@atomicsmith definitely is worst at low speeds, if you’re doing low speed trailing through rocky terrain it is enough to piss you off. Lol.

I found several online that had a list price of $8,999. But a sell price of $11,999. I found a 2023 marked Down to $10,999.
I added the Roof , Windshield and Winch. Then the 5 year warrant. Paid cash. Out the door $12,850.00.
I guess it’s demand driving the price as I looked at dealers in 3 States.
