How to Design Your Own Amazing Monogram

- Many people tell me they have really difficult names from which to create interesting signatures. The answer is to turn your initials into a monogram. It is a quick, simple and elegant solution.
When you have designed your monogram, practice it over and over again, day after day until you can do it in your sleep. As you do, it will become smoother and more designery and your friends will be impressed - especially if you write it with a flourish!

I've been doing the same "signature" for years when I draw.. and I never knew it was called a monogram. Also the more I signed it.. the more I ended up just doing lines. It doesn't even look like my initials anymore but I think it looks prettier that way.

That Was Great. When I first made My Monogram years & years ago it looks almost like a Yacht and seeing as I live very near the Sea & I do stuff to do with Boats/Yachts it's Perfect. 😎🚤⛵️⚓️🌊 Keep up the great work. Nick.
Anyone have Ideas for KMB? My usual signature is a sort of hidden spelling of my name Kazz, hiding and mashing all the letters together. The issue is that I rebranded myself as Art Monitor, and I want a visual pun.

This is amazing! I've finally had my own signature! And you're really funny!
My initials are MD, making it very easy to connect the two by using the right leg of the M as the stem for the D. Works very nicely.
My name initials are G and F. So for my signature I do first a calligraphic G, then I use the vertical bar of the G and I add one or two horizontal bars (it depends) (but then i put my last name and I underline the all). It's my signature since I'm 13 and I love it haha

well I already had a monogram and I didn't even know about it it's nice to know that I can use it for something because I just can't think of a signature with my full name to look nice
But what about DS? I like the cursive look of the letters but I can't find a way to make them look cool together.
This helps a lot. It really helped me with trying to find out which type of font I would use for my art.
I think it's hard to create a monogram with two letters that don't have much in common.
Like straight lines or symmetrie. In fact i really do have trouble creating one with M+S.

For my DeviantArt username I created one of these to use as my signature. It looks a bit like an anchor. A big letter 'A' with a line through the middle (top to bottom) so that the line through the A is also the line through the T. Then at the bottom of the line, a large dot for I and a W as well.
My pen name is Freddiekitty, i cant do the initals though due to it being F.K. any ideas on how i can write it without is looking like a curse word?

TheProudFeminist maybe you can make the line of the F the same line as the T so your enitial looks like a T with the second branch in the middle for the F.

my initials are GRC and I'm trying to figure out which combo to use. I usually use my first and middle name on social media but I dont know if I should do GR or GC.
My first name is weird because it has 2 uppercase letters in it MaryBeth. A lot of people mistake it as Marybeth or Mary Beth. So far I made a monogram I like but I wonder if there is another way for it? Would I have to put all my uppercase letters together (MBK) or just take out the B all together?

My initials are W. G. but I start with the G and use the rounding of the G as the start of a W, sometimes it ends up a bit looking like "cer" and that's how i know it's me because my dyslexia likes to improvise

+joseph skillen I just get my uni-ball micro deluxe. It´s super good for writing and it´s good for linework too.
The ink dryes instantly so it´s impossible to smudge. Linethickness is about 0,2mm.
